Secluded beautifully maintained villa 5 minute drive to L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Pool, electric gates, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Amazing countryside Near Golf Course - 20% reduction on green fees

The villa is south facing with free wi-fi throughout. It has a large garden with an abundance of manicured shrubs and white roses surrounding the house, large driveway and electronic gates. The 10 x 5m swimming pool has a rigid cover for extra security. The pool area has loungers a sofa and a large cushioned platform for additional sun bathing.There is a gazebo in the garden with a table and chairs which provides shade in the hot sun, a Weber BBQ and a boules court. The tiled veranda runs the length of the house, has a dining table and chairs for 8 plus other comfy chairs. Downstairs is a well equipped Provence style kitchen with all mod cons, including a large gas range with electric oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine 2 fridges and table and chairs. There is also a walk in larder with microwave, freezer and plenty of storage. The downstairs living area is open plan with a large dining area (table seats 8), sitting room and TV area with comfortable sofas and a large wall mounted flat screen TV, freeview TV and home cinema system. On the ground floor area there is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes plus a brand new bathroom and separate toilet.

On the first floor are 3 further double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a dressing room plus a balcony with table and chairs looking out over the hills. Bedroom 2 has a double bed plus dressing room. Bedroom 3 has twin beds and fitted wardrobes. There is air con in the lounge, master bedroom and bedroom 2 plus fans in all other rooms. The house is situated behind secure electric gates with parking for up to 4 cars. Highchair and cot can be provided if requested.

The house is situated opposite the Provence Golf and Country Club. (We have negotiated a reduced green fee for our guests) Within a 5 minute walk you are in spectacular countryside and can walk for miles along the Carpentras Canal paths. Please note we accept paypal.

About the Owner

John and I both love France. especially the Provence/ Luberon area. We spent 3 years searching for a holiday home in the south and fell in love with Isle sur la Sorgue - it really is the quintessential French town.

The countryside is beautiful, there are amazing restaurants in the town and the countryside and the whole area is very un-commercialised. We visit as often as we can, work permitting. Either via the TGV to Avignon (20 minutes from the house) or Marseille airport (45 minutes in the car)

Superb villa in lovely location

The villa met all expectations with great facilities in a peaceful location. Whilst not in the town centre, it is a simple five minute drive to Isle Sur La Sorgue with it's great choice of restaurants and other amenities (sunday market is well worth a visit !). Easy access to Avignon by train and we were lucky enough to have direct flights to Avignon so simple airport transfers as well. Great base for touring the beautiful Vaucluse countryside. The owners were easy to deal with and local management was efficient yet unobtrusive. We stayed for 2 weeks with a mix of family and friends (aged 17 to 70) and everyone was very happy. Thoroughly recommended !

Stylish and beautiful

The villa is a beautiful property which blends traditional Provencal charm with modern fixtures and fittings. The weather for our stay was glorious and whilst the outside pool isn't heated, it was no matter for us in the hot conditions. The local area is lovely, especially Fontaine de Vacluse and L'Isle Sue La Sorgue which are picturesque and close-by. I would strongly recommend this villa which was perfect for myself and my wife in addition to my mother and two small children

Great house in an interesting area

We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable week here.

The house was really comfortable and well equipped and it was useful to have a shaded veranda area during the hat of the day.

It was also an ideal location for numerous shopping trips to the pretty town of Isle Sur La Sorgue nearby, and further afield to Aix–en-Provence. We would recommend it.

Fabulous Villa and Setting

This is truly is a gem of a find! We have had 2 wonderful holidays here in this stunning villa. The house is cool, spacious & beautifully decorated and furnished . A gorgeous covered terrace with plenty of seating areas by the house or by the fabulous pool . The Villa is so well located , close by to so many beautiful towns and villages ( and also supermarkets ) - but if you want to just stay put for the whole holiday - this is also the ideal place to do so- with a great pool and lounge area to relax by . Its perfect for a family with young children as the gated area offers peace of mind- for adventurous toddlers !

This really is a charming villa, in which you can totally unwind and enjoy all aspects of holidays in beautiful Provence- thoroughly recommend

Peace & Quiet

I've warned my family that if I ever go missing they may well find me holed up here! Such a great escape. Fantastic weather, crickets galore! The fresh water pool was a so cool and refreshing, I was in it everyday! Slept by the pool most days too. We'd stocked up from a local supermarket in town (you will need a car or cash for taxis) and sat out each evening eating and drinking ... I could totally unwind here! Popped into Isle for shopping - love the shops - especially the homeware one in the square by the church (check out both) and the ice-cream parlour!! Had one or two nights at restaurants, great food, lovely people - everything is just so civilised and stress free. I did not want to come back to London! I am happy to have found this gem, will return in 2016 if I can escape the rat race! :)

Kick back and relax

Very peaceful, secluded property. You just have to switch off and relax at this location. Eat outdoors, swim or sleep by the pool, shop, drive around the stunning countryside... What more do you need.. A short drive into L'Isle gives you wonderful restaurants - do check out the ice cream place! Leave room in your bag for shopping as the retail therapy buttons are all pressed in L'Isle. I am making this my secret escape for when the world gets too much. :0)

Location

From the Owner

We have owned our house for 5 years. We love the fact that is secluded but not remote. It is surrounded by amazing countryside, canals and great walks. The house is light and airy and has a wonderful garden that surrounds the house. The downstairs is open plan with a number of french doors. However it is secure with electronic gates plus a rigid pool cover so great for families. The tiled veranda is covered so it is great place to find shade during the hot sun and enjoy long lunches and dinners. As have been renting our house out for the past 4 years and have a lot of guests returning each year we believe we know what is necessary to give people a great holiday. We have a wonderful English lady managing both properties for us and she is always happy to help out our guests. She has lived in France for 40 plus years so speaks fluent French.

Fontaine de Vaucluse with its unique geographical feature is also nearby. As is the beautiful hilltop village of Saumane, home to the De Sade family whose Château dominates the area. The magnificent hilltop Luberon villages of Mènerbes, Gordes, Lacoste and Bonnieux are all within.

Further Details:

Energetic visitors can hike in the mountains, kayak down the river from Fontaine de Vaucluse or go horse riding and cycling. Those of a more laid back disposition can stroll along the canal, meander through the forests or fish in the Sorgue river.

From the Owner

The house is situated a 5 minute drive from Isle (where there are many free car parks). It is also the same distance from the stunning town of Fontaine de Vaucluse. It is opposite the golf course where we have negotiated a 20% green fees reduced rate for our guests. The house is less than a 5 minute walk from amazing countryside and canals. You can walk to Fontaine de Vaucluse via the canals and across the aqueduct. We love going to L'isle sur la Sorgue for long lazy lunches - it is a beautiful old town set on a series of canals. You can get lost wandering around the back streets, enjoy the many antique shops and there are many fantastic restaurants. When you walk into the main square where the old church is, it is like stepping back in time and walking onto a film-set for a typical Provencal town.As soon as we arrive be it winter or summer we stock up at the twice weekly market.

The garden of 1,500 square metres also has a large shaded gazebo with table and chairs, ample outside seating areas and a petanque court. There is a dining table on the veranda to seat 8 people plus additional chairs. Utility Room: Washing machine and separate dryer situated in garage. Ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels are included both for personal use and the pool. Linen is included for all beds. The villa is cleaned on arrival.
