Review 1 2014

"I realise we forgot to sign the visitor book before we left so I thought I'd email you a few words of thanks instead. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful house. The beds were extremely comfortable, the house very well equipped and spacious with beautiful views that we're already missing. We knew little about Bovey Tracey before our holiday but all found it to be a great location surrounded by gorgeous countryside. We were sad to leave because there were still so many nearby attractions left to explore! Thank you for your hospitality and we will certainly be highly recommending your holiday let to our friends and families. Many thanks again for your hospitality."

We stayed for 2 weeks. The house was well equipped and we enjoyed spending time on the balcony. We were able to get on to Dartmoor within a 10 minutes drive. Within half an hour we could get to the beaches at Paignton and Teignmouth.

From the Owner

We love living in Higher Brimley because it is within Dartmoor National Park, has fabulous views, easy access to good walks and cycle rides, close to amenities in Bovey Tracey and easy access to the A38 for Exeter and Plymouth. We also enjoy walking to a very good local pub in Ilsington - up a steep hill!

Activity and Interests

The nearest beaches are 10 miles away at Teignmouth and Shaldon, and there are popular tourist towns of Dartmouth, Salcombe, Torquay and Totnes within a 10-30 miles radius.

Dartmoor is the largest and highest upland in southern England and has a good variety of wildlife – the Haytor Visitor Centre is approx 2 miles from the property. Numerous tourist attractions are accessible, with the House of Marbles, Becky Falls and Castle Drogo being very close.
