It has been a pleasure staying at Patton Hall !!The caravan is lovely And the views are outstanding,we could not of asked for more.Terry & Elsie.
Loved our little hideaway home. Perfect views across the valley, quiet location but close enough to spread our wings. We were blessed with beautiful weather but on the few days it did rain we loved staying at the caravan to play family board games and watch the changing skies. Very accommodating family, I'm sure we'll be back
This was our first time to the Lake District and had a lovely week, we were so lucky with the weather with only one day of rain
(Across the country they had days of rain).
We were pleasantly surprised with the mobile home, it was far better than our expectations, walk in wardrobe, king size bed, en suite toilet and basin, everything and more you could wish for in the kitchen, full size fridge freezer etc, the living room had fantastic views with comfy chairs with swivel bases so you could sit and admire the view, it's been many years since we last holidayed in a mobile home but since this holiday we would defiently look again at mobile homes when choosing our holidays in the UK in the future!
We were only a few miles from Kendal, a lovely town with all the up to date shops and eating places, supermarkets etc.
The mobile home is set on a working farm but it was so quiet and peaceful there, the owners couldn't do enough to make sure our holiday was pleasant, we would defiently recommend this type of break and when we have time would love to go back there in the same mobile home, we did a lot of traveling around visiting all the south lakes, all in all a very nice week away.
We wanted complete relaxation, away from our busy life back home and found Patton Hall Farm. We spent the week taking in the breathtaking scenery the area had to offer. The caravan we stayed in had the most breathtaking views and we arrived in the middle of the lambing season. Watching the skipping around the fields was lovely.
We received a warm welcome upon our arrival and our caravan was spotlessly clean. The only downside was the owners dogs barking through the night (not every night). This woke us up a few times but managed to nod back off.
A beautiful place for relaxation and breathtaking views
Had a wonderful stay in a well equipped, spotless caravan with everything you need to self cater. great to come back to a warm cosy place after a day in the lakes. Great position for lots of attractions like grizedale, Arnside and fell foot park - our 5 year old loved these places. Morrisons and aldi just a couple of miles away . Warm welcome and top value free range eggs for sale. Highly recommended. Thank you Lesley.
This was our first stay at the site and it was a very pleasant stay indeed. The caravan was of a decent size, extremely clean and had everything anybody could ever need away from their home. It was a warm caravan for sure as the heating and gas worked very well, so no problems at all with this. I generally think it was a tad chilly on the night but I think that was a combination of the time of year plus the double door at the rear of the caravan which is located in the large bedroom - maybe causing a draught? This would be the only issue we had for the full week.
Lesley and Robert made us feel very welcome, very down to earth and despite this being on a working farm they always made time for us to help with any queries we had.
The site is literally about 2 miles outside of Kendal and is also a good base for the likes of Ambleside, Windermere.
The views from the caravan site are superb, there were a few times when I enjoyed sitting outside of the caravan with a hot beverage and being able to read peacefully taking in the views.
It was a shame to have to leave the site, it was such a comfortable place to be and was a "home from home".
Thanks for such a lovely stay and we will be sure to be returning hopefully this year.
We really appreciated our very clean and quiet accommodation which provided a good base from which to explore the lakes. Our caravan (Lakeland) was warm and comfortable with a particularly well equipped kitchen and many thoughtful extras. We enjoyed views right across the valley - river, woodland, sheep and then the fells beyond. This was our second winter break at Patton Hall and it would be lovely to return again some day. Many thanks.
