The owners Martin and Emma Samuel live in Llanilar, near Aberystwyth. As property investors rent both long term and short term rental accommodation. Emma used to live in Ponterwyd and her family still reside in the village. We enjoy using the cottages with our Children to relax and enjoy the beautiful Views. We pride ourselves by renting quality properties.
Martin Samuel purchased this cottage in 2011
Bought as a derelict cottage, Dolcarne was purchased as a run down shell which was totally renovated to current building regulations. Making it a modernized high quality finished property with state of the art insulation and hand crafted windows, doors and A frames, but keeping the traditional features of a 250 year old grade 2 listed Welsh Cottage.
You won't find many cottages like these in Wales, bought back to a high standard with the traditional feel of a 18th century cottage.

We stayed at Dinas cottage 8th-11th July, what an amazing little gem it is. We were real impressed with the level of detail focused on the guest feeling they'd stepped through the door of something special. Dinas is renovated and furnished to a very high standard throughout and it's so peaceful and cosy. This is the best cottage I have had the pleasure of staying in and I highly recommend staying there. The views are fantastic, short drive up the road and you're at Devils Bridge Waterfalls. Bottom line; perfect cottage.
Dinas has been very tastefully renovated in a lovely blend of high quality contemporary and original features... We had a lovely stay, MTBing in nearby Nant Yr Arian. Great views, quiet location, very comfortable and well equipped.
