About Vicky Counsell

We live in Gloucestershire with our three children and cocker spaniel! We love visiting Cornwall and blowing the cobwebs away on the beach or messing about in the sea!

Vicky Counsell purchased this apartment in 2013

Why Vicky Counsell chose Newquay & St Austell area

We love the Fistral Beach area because of the many beautiful beaches nearby. Also you are far enough out of Newquay not to be in the centre of the bustle of the town but close enough that you can walk there in 20 minutes to the many shops, restaurants and bars. There really is something for everyone here. The area gives you easy access to most of Cornwall and to some really great coastal footpaths.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is a short 5 minute stroll from the fabulous Fistral beach. As we have three children and have used holiday accommodation a lot in the past we know a well equipped holiday home makes all the difference!

We have tried to think of every convenience you could want during your holiday, including entertainment for those rainy days!

Absolutely superb apartment and great location for beach, golf and bars/restaurants.

  • 5 of 5

What a fabulous place to stay! We walked into the apartment and just went 'Wow....wow....wow!!' It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was extremely well appointed with a full sized dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer machine and a fab 6 jet gas range cooker. Beautiful black granite work surfaces extending to a large breakfast bar with stools. There were plenty of useful items such as bin bags, dishwasher tablets, dish cloths etc and a tea towel so if you forget anything, don't worry there will probably be some there!

It has an open plan kitchen/diner/ lounge and it is very spacious; I have never seen such a large sofa!

All the furniture is lovely (and matching) and contributes to the stunning look of the place including the coffee table, dining table and side tables plus the wardrobes, bedside cabinets and dressing table; all of excellent quality! The outside space is a bonus and lovely to sit out at breakfast and evenings (we had a fantastic week of hot weather!). Nice for the dogs to run around too.

The beds had beautiful crisp white linen and we had enormous white bath towels that were even big enough for my 6 foot 4 hubby. There was an ensuite with a shower to the master bedroom and a family bathroom both of which were fully tiled and just fabulous!

There was plenty of parking with one allocated space and plenty of spare places all secure behind electric gates.

The apartment is ideally situated for access to everything including the golf course, literally across the road and a 5 minute walk (if that) to the beach. 10 minutes walk and we were in the town where there were lots of bars, restaurants and cafes etc, to suit everyone's requirements.

10 out of 10 as we couldn't fault it 😀?😀?😀?😀?

Great apartment with everything you could ever need.

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant week even though the weather wasn't the best. Location for us was fantastic with surfing a short walk away. Wilbur the dog had plenty of walks although the steps to the beach were too much for the old boy, but a walk along the top of the dunes to the beach was perfect for him.

Two restaurants worth trying if you are into seafood would be The Boat House in the harbour, wonderful food with a view over the harbour. Also the Seafood Cafe along Fistral beach.

We will be returning!

  • 5 of 5

This was a fabulous apartment, so clean and well equipped, we stayed for a long weekend, wish we had booked for the week. Very cosy and warm, all you need to recharge the battery's. Great we could take our dog too, she loved it, outside enclosed area for dogs and very secure,

5 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes from Newquay, lovely area to explore, and so dog friendly. 😊?

Excellent corespondence with the owner who was very helpful and gets back to you straight away.

Will definitely be back, would fully recommend

Thank you very much Vicky it's been a pleasure staying here.

Had a great week ( sun shone 6 days out of 7) and the Vista is a great place to stay. You must walk down to Gannel Estuary and across to Crantock if you stay,, stunning beach and coastline just 10 mins walk.
