About Mrs Christine Teuten

Part time florist, part time pharmacy technician. Its a family love affair with the 'barn' . Husband Jonathan does the DIY, son Alex does most of the hard work, and I look after the garden.

Mrs Christine Teuten purchased this barn in 2011

Why Mrs Christine Teuten chose Teigngrace

We bought this charming cottage in 2011, spent 6 months renovating it to a high standard, and this is our third year of renting it out. We stay there ourselves whenever we can. We find it's an excellent antidote to city living!

We love this part of Devon, its remote yet accessible, in the country , but only a couple of miles from civilisation. There's loads to see and do here. I feel we have only just started to explore this part of the world there is so much here.

What makes this barn unique

The whole of south Devon is on your doorstep with much to offer for the adventurous or outdoor types.

Alternatively, you can just chill out and relax in wonderful surroundings.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We very much enjoyed this cottage, peaceful in beautiful surroundings, spacious and well equipped and so accessible to many west country locations.

Lovely place, well equipped but lacked an iron and hairdryer. I'd book it again!

Wonderful cottage, very well equipped, lovely location

  • 5 of 5

We have had an absolutely wonderful stay. The cottage is really lovely, very well equipped and clean. It is much brighter inside than it seems in the foto's. A real home away from home. It is a rural location, yet the A38 and Newton Abbot are very easily reached, which makes it a perfect location for trips to Dartmoor, the coast, NT properties.

Fantastic stay!

  • 5 of 5

The barn is located in quiet spot in the middle of the country park.It is clean and equipped with all you need for a relaxing holiday. The garden is secluded and full of garden birds. We thoroughly enjoyed the coastal walks , the beaches and the National Trust places.( the best part was crab fishing and seal spotting on Babbacombe beach).

We had a wonderful week away and we would definitely recomend the property to a friend.

Very enjoyable. Good location cottage comfortable and well equipped

  • 4 of 5

Well set up with good facilities. Nice setting although not obvious that it was part of a group of dwellings when booking it was very quiet. We loved being able to walk local pathways so easily.

Delightful property, quiet location.

  • 5 of 5

We booked this cottage quite late in the season and were a bit wary that there were other properties around it. We usually book cottages on there own to give us privacy. Our fears were unfounded as the cottage was very private and we hardly saw the neighbours. The garden is very spacious with mature trees and plenty of wildlife, and with a lovely area to sit and eat or relax.

The cottage itself was very spacious and comfortable with everything you need, very much a home from home.

Although the location of the cottage was very rural you could be on a main road within a matter of minutes and the coastal resorts and Dartmoor were an easy drive.

All in all we found this cottage to be in an ideal central location to explore South Devon and Dartmoor and would not hesitate to recommend it to others wishing to visit the same area.
