The Coach House is situated in the grounds of Stonecottage, a grade 2 listed property built in 1766 in the heart of the Saxon village of Wootton, Northamptonshire. In 2013 the Coach house was renovated with care ensuring the building has lots of character but is also very well equipped. Local buses to Northampton stop outside and all the village amenities pubs, shops, doctors, chemist etc., are within a short walking distance. Northamptonshire has many unknown but significant historical places and family attractions to visit including Wicksteed Park, Kettering believed to be the first and oldest amusement park in England. The house's location means it has excellent road and rail links to the seven surrounding Counties and Central Milton Keynes. Northampton train station can take you to the centre of London or Birmingham within the hour. Whatever the weather there are always places to visit and interesting things to see and do. Northamptonshire is an undiscovered County waiting to be explored. Rental costs are based on 2 persons sharing. We consider ourselves privileged to own these grade 2 listed cottages, one of which was built in 1766, in the village of Wootton Northamptonshire. Wootton village is an ancient Saxon settlement and has other village buildings dating from this time. Our properties were lived in and used by many different people and families as working homes, small holdings and stables. Notably a land agent once lived in the main cottage and collected rent from the local tenant farmers. He kept his pony and trap in the building which is now known as The Coach house. We have lived in the village all our lives and have travelled to many places in the world but always look forward to coming back home. We believe Northamptonshire is an undiscovered County and we would like to share it with others.

We were very lucky to have had the chance to buy this property after admiring it for many years. When we bought the property it required a great deal of TLC which has taken us over 20 years. We also had to accept the responsibility of looking after listed buildings which can be costly but also very self rewarding.
We love the property because of its central location and the excellent road and rail links. We can travel in most directions and within an hour be in a different County, Village,Town, City or the surrounding countryside enjoying the differences that they all have to offer.

Thank you for the great accommodation. You asked me if it was as nice as the photos but after two nights in the cottage I must say it's even better. The photos can't show the warmth and comfort you provide. I certainly wouldn't consider using hotels again.
Yatun and I can't wait to come back next week for a longer stay so we can relax and enjoy the cottage even more.
The cottage is in a good location for exploring and in a quiet spot away from the main roads. It is very well equipped, spacious, warm and extremely clean. The owner is welcoming and on hand if the need arises. For the artistically inclined, 78 Derngate, the fascinating Charles Rennie Mackintosh house, is an easy bus trip away. Highly recommended as a destination for your holiday.

The cottage id a beautiful wee thing, everything you could possibly want. It's just FANTASTIC. I hate to say that really because you all might book the place and I won't be able to book it again.......DOH !
Still, credit where credit is due !!!! I've stayed in cottages and apartments throughout France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Scotland, England and Switzerland.......and this is the BEST!
Last minute booking to cover whilst builders in, lovely location, every amenity required, everything you would need for a short or longer stay. Mick and Jo were very flexible with booking and did everything to accommodate us.

Nice thoughtful touches by Mick & Jo, meant that nothing was overlooked.
Simple things, like milk in the fridge, tea and coffee, decent loo rolls, to books/dvds/games for those cold evenings in...
Cannot fault the experience and would highly recommend a visit.
Lovely cottage, well equipped. Everything you could need. Mick went out of his way by taking us to train station for visit to London and picking us up, much appreciated. The whole week we felt at home and had an enjoyable stay. Would recommend this cottage. A lot to visit within driving distance including Bletchley Park, we spent 4 hours there. Toby Carvery recommended by owners worth a visit.
This is probably the BEST self-catering cottage we have ever stayed in (and we have been in a few over the years). Warm welcome from Mike and Jo. It was immaculate outside and inside. Provided for all our needs (and more). Excellent parking and good(ish) Wi-Fi. Great location for the history of Northamptonshire and its gardens. Also easy for the shoppers with London and Milton Keynes easy to get to. Cannot praise this place enough

There is a non refundable deposit of 50% of the weekly rental price to immediately secure the booking and the balance in full to be paid in full 8 weeks before the arrival date. In addition there is refundable security deposit per person which will be returned promptly after the departure date. This refund is subject to no excessive cleaning requirements, damage and or breakages. Short breaks subject to availability. Please call or email us for a quote.
Weekly rentals shown are based on Saturday to Saturday (7 nights). Arrival time not before 3pm and departure must be by 10am. Short and longer, part week and lap over week stays will be based on a minimum of 5 nights by prior arrangement.

When we receive your email enquiry we will return to you by email our enquiry form, booking form and terms and conditons. If the enquiry form details including deposit and rental charges and terms and conditions meet with your approval please complete the booking form and returns to us. Also at the same time make the 50% deposit payment transfer into bank account as detailed on the booking form.
