A very warm welcome awaits you at South View! We like to treat our guests the way we like to be treated on holiday. Our aim is to provide you with a home from home experience - what is upper most in our minds is to create a relaxing, comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings.

We have welcomed guests from all parts of the UK, plus overseas guests from Germany, Austria, Australia, Italy and the USA.

Why Gill Watkins chose North Cornwall

The old saying location, location, location! Once we saw the stunning rural views from here and the convenience to the A39 whilst still being oh so quiet, we were sold!

And of course the coast is just minutes away, large sandy beaches, miles of coastal paths and Bude has lots of little restaurants, cafés and independent shops.

What makes this apartment unique

South View benefits from having a large covered alfresco area which is perfect to enjoy outside dining, drinks or a BBQ. Its also a great place to store bicycles, wet suits and surf boards.

Beautiful apartment with such lovely views

We have just had a lovely week's break at south view. The apartment was larger than in the photos, very comfortable, huge outside area, and wonderful tranquil views. We loved sitting outside having breakfast and seeing the vast scenic view, with sheep roaming around. We had some lovely days out, within an hours driving distance. But it was a nice walk into Bude , for a wander around, few beers and good food. We feel totally recharged after chilling for the week, and we're so lucky to have had such wonderful weather, especially for April. We would definitely return to this home, if we were to visit this area again, would highly recommend it.

We are very fortunate to live in such a wonderful location with beautiful surrounds and so many other stunning places to visit nearby! Bude has a lot to offer holiday makers of all ages and interests. We are immensely proud of our beaches and sea pool but also the good choice of cafes, restaurants and little independent shops in and around Bude. The accommodation was top class. The owners living above were friendly and helpful. The kitchen area was well equipped and the bathroom modern and spacious. lovely view down the valley from lounge and bedroom. Easy access to Bude and the coast. In our short stay did not have time to investigate local pubs. Perhaps next time when we will have no hesitation in booking here again

Home from home

The apartment is fresh and clean, well equipped and everything works. Lovely view down the valley across lovely garden. Parking is secure. Really enjoyed the 5 minute walk in the evenings to The Tree Inn...great food and beer! The self catering is a short drive (10mins) from truly beautiful beaches e.g. Sandymouth Bay, Widemouth, Bude etc. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be going back. Great stay and marvellous value!

A beautifully presented apartment with everything you need for your stay. Apartment was emmaculate on arrival and we were made to feel extremely welcome by the owners. Amazing views to wake up to every morning. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. The only downside for us was the time went far too quickly!!

Absolutely Amazing Stay

South View really is a lovely place to stay. The apartment is fully furnished with everything you could need for a short break. The place is the cleanest place I've ever stayed and the owners achieved the perfect balance of being incredibly attentive whilst also offering the peace and quiet and privacy you like when you're on holiday. They really were lovely. The garden is heavenly and the views from the apartment are spectacular. Both supermarket and the beach are a short drive away making it a really convenient location. I really would recommend this place highly because the place is gorgeous, the owners lovely and the location rejuvenating. Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Bude is blessed with a mild climate and is within five minutes drive from us with beautiful sandy beaches, amazing surf and miles of coastal paths, it also boasts an outside sea pool as well as Splash an indoor leisure pool.

Widemouth Bay, Northcott Mouth, Sandymouth and Duckpool are just a few of the wonderful beaches on offer within a 10-15 minute drive from us. Many of the beaches have lifeguards on duty during the summer months.

Travel:

Exeter airport approximately 50 miles. Newquay airport approximately 45 miles. Car hire is available at the airports and the use of a car is recommended.

Distances:

Numerous beaches and local beauty spots within 10 -15 minutes drive. Boscastle 20 minutes drive, Tintagel 25 minutes drive, Hartland Quay 20 minutes drive, Clovelly 25 minutes drive, Padstow 45 minutes drive, Eden Project 55 mins drive.

Further Details:

We have two village pubs less than five minutes walk from us, both serving very good food.

Bude has many cafes, good restaurants, independent quality shops, supermarkets, banks etc, all within five minutes drive.

We are ideally positioned to explore both Cornwall and North Devon, so whether you are looking to surf, sight see, walk or just relax its all here for you to enjoy.

  • Notes on accommodation: Our aim is to provide a high standard of clean, comfortable accommodation which we would enjoy to holiday in ourselves. Short breaks available please contact us for prices. We can accommodate babies and a travel cot and high chair are provided. Unfortunately no children over the age of two. We welcome responsible dog owners with very well behaved dogs and make a small charge for their stay. This is a non smoking property inside however an ashtray is provided in the under cover alfresco area adjoining the accommodation. Private parking. Electricity, heating and WiFi are included in the price.
