This is a detached 3 bedroom villa on an urbanisation overlooking a huge 100ftx34ft shared swimming pool. The villa is set within the beautiful and exclusive El Portet valley and is only a 5 minute walk to the Blue Flag sandy beach and local restaurants. The villa has its own private gardens, patio and veranda. The patio overlooks the swimming pool which is floodlit until midnight, and has direct access to the shallow end and adjoining young children paddling pool.

About Paul Higgins

My wife and I have owned this beautiful villa for a little over 4 years now, however do not let this put you off as we have been holidaying here for 20+ years as a couple, and myself 10 years prior to that using my parents villa on the same urbanisation, only 5 doors away. We now have a young family of our own and the villas proximity directly overlooking the baby & toddler paddling pool-cum-shallow end of the generously sized swimming pool couldn't be more perfect. The nearby Portet beach is also a safe haven for young families and children of all ages with its naturally formed sheltered bay and gently sloping shallow sea shelf. As Kiam Remington famously once said 'I liked it so much I bought the company'....

Why Paul Higgins chose Moraira

As already mentioned we have holidayed here, every year, for the last 30+ years and this really is our second home.

Even though Moraira was a relatively quiet fishing town all those years ago, with very tight planning laws and strict building lines, it has only been allowed to grow at a steady pace and is not a concrete jungle that is overcrowded with holidaymakers unlike the majority of resorts further south on the Spanish coast.

It still retains it's Spanish fishing village charm with plenty of traditional Spanish bars and eateries, evening street markets, numerous children's play areas, tree lined promenades, beautifully clean beaches and a stunning marina.

We as a family, other than taking the kids to Disney as a treat, could not imagine holidaying anywhere else in the world.

Utility Room: Washing machine can be found in the downstairs apartment bathroom. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen, hand & bath towels are included in the price. The property, linen and towels are cleaned between lettings. There is a washing machine in the downstairs bathroom if required. Outside: Private garden, barbecue area and two large sun terraces, one of which directly overlooks the shallow end of the communal swimming pool. Communal gardens and generously sized 100 ft X 34 ft swimming pool which is floodlit until midnight. Outdoor furniture includes modern tables, chairs, sun loungers and parasols. There are also plastic chairs and parasols for beach use. Other: The veranda which overlooks the 2 generous sun terraces, garden and communal swimming pool, has it's own furniture consisting of a rattan two seater settee, table and chairs. There is also a large dining table and 8 chairs for your al fresco dining.

Fabulously relaxing!

This property and holiday gave us exactly what we were looking for- pure relaxation. The villa was clean and well equipped and having teenage children, the downstairs apartment gave them space to be away from parents! The pool was divine, very clean. The gardens and palm trees within the complex were immaculately kept. Palm trees and plants gave shade and a picturesque setting to sit in and read plenty of books.

The beach at El Portet was perfect, we all enjoyed the snorkelling and the local food and drink on the beach front.

We were lucky enough to be there when the local festival was on. One night we saw the most spectacular firework display to music I'd ever seen! It made the holiday. The short walk to El Portet was perfect. The longer walk to Moraira (20 mins) was more tiring on the hotter days but it was more than worth it to have spectacular veiws the whole way.

We were re-energised after the holiday.

Everything you could wish for and more

Great property, love;y quiet location in walking distance of the lovely beach and local amenities.Fully furnished apartment and "granny flat" everything required for a great holiday was provided , even suncream and beach towels. Lovely garden and terraces, sun loungers, bbq and even pool toys for the children. we had 10 blissful days here and enjoyed every minute.we would most definately return and we will recommend this property to family and friends

Just Lovely

We have just come back from an 8 day stay at this lovely property - 5 adults aged between 24 - 61 years. What can I say we just thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great, we could walk down to the local bar and the seafront within approx 10 minutes, a walk into Moraira is a very pleasant stroll of about 25 minutes.

The property is very comfortable with lots of outside seating areas and the pool area is delightful and just a step away. The owners were great and the information they sent was spot on i.e., directions, keys etc. This area is just great for all ages, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We just had a smashing time and intend to stay there again. Thank you Kirsty and Paul for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

Couldn't fault it!

Lovely villa on a shared complex. We stayed for a month with our two children aged 2 and 4 and loved it. The pool is perfect for little ones and the villa is very well equipped with everything you need on holiday. 10 minute walk to the beach and a lovely restaurant and shop and pharmacy just down the road too. Would high to recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful villa, pool and bay

My husband and I spent a week in this gorgeous villa with our two small children. We had a fantastic time and our son (aged 2) and daughter (aged 3) loved the pool and the calm waters a few minutes down the road at the bay. The villa was clean, modern and well equipped with everything we needed. We all really enjoyed ourselves and hope to return again in the not too distant future. Lovely.

Fantastic property in a great location

We have had a fabulous holiday at this apartment. It was very accurately described by the owners and the accommodation was very well presented. It is situated very close to the beach (which is great for young children). The pool was also fantastic and the DVD collection was useful on a rainy day! The communication with the owners was fantastic and they couldn't have been more helpful. Would love to visit and stay here again.

A 5-10 minute walk or 2 minute drive in the car to the nearby Portet beach. This award winning blue flag beach is a naturally formed sheltered bay, it's soft sand extends all the way into the gently sloping sea shelf, making it a safe haven for young families and children of all ages.

Moraira beach is a 20 minute walk along the coast, past the town with it's many shops, restaurants and bars. It boasts a larger beach, larger waves and plenty of water activities including jet ski's and pedalos.


Positioned only 1 hour drive north of Alicante airport or 1 hour and 20 minutes drive south of Valencia airport by motorway, the property is perfectly situated to ensure minimal travelling time upon arrival in Spain. There is an extensive choice of customary car hire firms, both locally and on-site at the airports and a new local bus service also operates directly to and from Alicante airport. There is also a local taxi rank in Moraira should you wish this to be your chosen method of transport.


Alicante airport - 1 hour drive.

Valencia airport - 1 hour 20 minute drive.

Moraira - 5 minute drive or 20 minute coastal walk.

Javea - 20 minute drive.

Calpe - 20 minute drive.

Benidorm - 30 minute drive.

Denia - 30 minute drive.

Moraira consists of several wide, tree lined avenues arranged around the church square. Moraira itself enjoys a plethra of restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. As darkness falls and the night-life takes over, the many restaurants begin to fill and the Moraira evening strollers appear taking in the evening street markets and the ambience. Many of the restaurants have live entertainment, especially during the summer season.

Moraira is a village of exceptional beauty, with no high rise buildings, magnificent views out to sea and the main beach backed by greenery and pines. A stroll around Moraira is truly a pleasure. There are pedestrian areas that are well lit at night, fountains, beach front bars, restaurants and plenty of stylish boutiques to shop in. Nightlife is refined and pleasant, with most bars and restaurants having an outdoor terrace where you can while away the evening and people watch.

The heart of the town is walking distance from the main beach and port. Whether you want a quick coffee in one of the town's excellent coffee bars, a lunch at a bargain price or a special dinner that samples the delicious fresh local food, Moraira has a wide variety of international cuisine. Of course, all washed down with some of the finest tasting wines produced from the local vineyards.

There are supermarkets in the town and on the outskirts, with larger ones to be found at nearby Calpe and Jávea. The fruit and vegetable market is held on a Wednesday, offering a range of delicious fresh items at bargain prices, and on a Friday is the large 'rastro' market, selling items for the home, clothes, bags, shoes, gifts and lots of other Spanish specialities!

Local fiestas are held in summer, which are a real taste of Spanish life. Everyone joins in and there is partying, fireworks, music, dancing and food well into the night. This is the perfect opportunity to mix with the local community and join in with what the Spanish do well - partying!

You will have exclusive access to the whole villa and it's own facilities, patio furniture, terraces, grounds etc. We do NOT let the property out to any other holidaymakers during your stay.

If there are more people in your party/using the property than that stated in your booking, i.e using the downstairs accommodation without prior notice and our consent, we reserve the right to withhold your £250 bond in full.

Booking Notes:
The £250 bond (or part of) will be repaid to you within 14 days of our receipt of the full set of property keys and/or once the housekeepers have confirmed no damage & checked the property's inventory. We suggest you return the keys via the insured and trackable Royal Mail Special Delivery service.

Changeover Day:
During July and August, ideally Saturday to Saturday, so 7, 14, 21, 28 nights etc.
Additional days/nights can be added during but this will incur an additional day/night rate of +25% to that of the individual day/night rate for the cost of your chosen 7 nights/week rate.


If we have to cancel;
You will receive a FULL refund for any monies paid to date. This only includes monies in relation to the rental of the property and does not include any associated costs such as your airfares, car hire, taxis, additional/alternative accommodation etc. It goes without saying that we would work tirelessly with our contacts and friends in Spain to try and arrange some alternative accommodation.

If you decide to cancel;
1. 50% refund of the 50% booking deposit upto 90 days prior to your departure date.
2. 25% refund of your 50% booking deposit upto 45 days prior to your departure date.
3. As the remaining 50% balance and damage bond are due at 30 days, there will be no refund after this final payment is made.

50% deposit booking to be paid at the time of making the booking. Remaining 50% balance plus an additional damage bond of £250 to be paid NO LESS than 30 days prior to the start date of your booking.
