3 Bedroom bungalow located in a quiet cul-de-sac within 5 minute walk of the pebble banked sandy beach. close to local shops and transport links. The property is graded 4 star by 'Visit Wales'. Suitable for up to 4 adults plus children (max 6 total). There is a spacious living room with patio door leading to the conservatory with a dining table seating up to 6 and a high chair. The large kitchen is fully equipped. The house is heated by storage heaters with additional heaters in the bedrooms and conservatory. The entire property has been recently re-furbished to a high standard throughout. Wi-fi included.

Kayak available to hire for just £40 extra for the duration of your stay.

Two adult size bikes available to hire for just £25 extra for the duration of your stay.

Well behaved pets welcome.

About Paul Winfer

I have been a regular visitor to this part of wales since I was a child and still love the area, I decided to buy a property in Fairbourne 3 years ago and spent the next 6 months renovating it to high standard. We still use the bungalow ourselves and you will find many personal touches and attention to detail.

Why Paul Winfer chose Gwynedd - Snowdonia

We chose to buy in Fairbourne due to its peaceful location far enough away from the more comercialised areas of Barmouth but close enough to reach within a few minutes. The transport links are great with a train staion and bus stop in the village. We enjoy walking and cycling and the area has some spectacular walks on your doorstep including the blue lake and the dis-used railway line along the Mawdach estuary. You can walk or cycle across Barmouth bridge and Coed-y-Brenin mountain bike centre is a 30 minute drive away.

Fairbourne has a beautiful long sandy beach, the village is well away from the main road and the activities available make it the perfect place to take children.

The bungalow is in a very quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of the beach, train station, shops, pub, indian restaurant, golf course, amusement arcade, and the Fairbourne minature steam railway. Perfect for families or for couples looking for peace and quiet.

Outside: Fully enclosed rear garden with patio area, garden furniture, BBQ, storage for bikes. parking for 2 cars and lawned garden at the front. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen provided, 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 tea towels provided. No maid service Other: The bedrooms are fitted with carpet, kitchen bathroom and conservatory are tiled, rest of the bungalow has real wood flooring. The conservatory is heated and has a large dining table with 6 chairs.

Property was really clean as it is in the pictures, very near to the beach if you love to walk, walking distance to blue lake, and other attractions, we enjoyed enjoyed the stay will definitely come back soon.

Forgot to mention back garden and dinning area is awesome our kids went crazy in there :).....

As Comfortable as Home

By the end of our stay, it felt like our own home. Each room is spacious enough to have never felt crowded. The temperature was easy to maintain at our comfort level. Even in the winter, the exterior sun room was quickly warmed, and it was a joy to eat our meals in there. I never heard any of our neighbors from inside the house, so it was a great place for reading as well.

The local town was always so calm and easy going. There were enough small market shops in walking distance that we had no need of a car unless we wanted to explore beyond our town. The train stop was close and easy to plan routes along the Cambrian Line for a good price.

This location was also a great launching point for several excursions into Snowdonia national park. It was very easy for us to see castles, go hiking, biking, or kayaking, in a variety of beautiful locations close by.

Although Aberystwyth was easy to get to, and we went often, I would especially recommend this home to anyone who prefers to avoid larger cities.

Finally, the hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with.

Fairbourne stay, October 2016

We were visiting parents in Fairbourne for the week. Very pleased with accommodation spotlessly clean. Equipped to high standard as described. No hidden extras i.e. Meters to feed. So was warm when weather was chilly. Washing machine and tumble drier useful too, as we had young granddaughter staying with us. No complaints at all. we used the local new pub for eating out which was very good value (not the Springfield) . Would recommend to friends.

Pity about negative publicity regarding flood plain and lack of funding for the area for the future.

Good stay in a very nice property

This is a very nice bungalow which is finished to a good standard. The property looks a little basic from the front, but is modern, warm and spacious on the inside. We particularly liked the conservatory dining area and loved having breakfast in there (it was fine with the heater on). The beach is a short stroll away and a great walk when the tide is out. We were lucky with the weather (Oct.) and would definitely stay here again.

There were only two issues during our stay. The bathroom sink plug mechanism was broken (which was a bit frustrating) and you had to put your hand underneath to operate it and let the water out. The second issue was that the owner of the property behind this one had three dogs, and there wasn't much of a fence between the two gardens.....so be aware of this if you're taking a dog with you!
