About Chantal

We are a family of 5 and Tas-Sellum is our second home. We are happy to share it with you and will do our best to ensure your stay in our apartment is a very enjoyable one.

Why Chantal chose Għadira

We love Mellieha, which in our opinion has something for everyone. It is a peaceful and relatively quiet resort in the winter months which then completely comes to life in the summer, popular with the locals and tourists alike.

What makes this apartment unique

Tas-Sellum is perfectly located by the sea and enjoys stunning views with all the amenities of an exclusive gated complex. It is situated away from the crowds in summer and therefore it is a great place to relax and unwind. But for those who enjoy the action of a beach resort, Tas-Sellum is not cut off and so you can reach all Mellieha has to offer very easily on foot or by car.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is part of the exclusive, landscaped Tas-Sellum development. Tas-Sellum is a gated, fully maintained development with 24hr security. With a communal pool and direct access to the sea we also offer free on-site parking for 2 cars. The garage is served with a lift directly to the apartment. Cots, changing table, high-chair, toys and beach toys are all available on request. Smoking outside on terraces only. Outside: The apartment has a covered sea view terrace with 2 tables and 6 chairs. A private terrace serving Bedroom 1 has a bistro set. A large private terrace serving Bedroom 2 & 3 had an outdoor rattan sofa suite and 2 rattan sunbeds with table. 6 lightweight deckchairs and 6 lightweight sunbeds are available for use by the pool. Utility Room: Separate Utility Room with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, cleaning materials and products provided, outdoor clothes rack Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen, bath towels and beach towels are provided. Your end of stay cleaning costs are included. Additional housekeeping services are available in the morning at EUR15 p/hr and are payable in cash (minimum 2hrs)

A wonderful apartment with every amenity imaginable - suited 6 of us all with varying needs.

From the moment we arrived, we had first class service and facilities.

Chantal and Gordon have been wonderful hosts with full information available on anything we needed.

The apartment was exactly what we expected with the huge rooms and beautifully furnished throughout.

Amenities were first class and we had everything we needed for our stay.

Excellent accommodation for us and our sons with their girlfriends as all had a wonderful room.

Close to bus stop so flexibility for traveling around the island.

Crockery, cutlery, and glassware were also excellent for home entertaining after watching the numerous amounts of movies available on the flat screen.

Everyone was catered for in this fantastic apartment.

Stunning apartment and location

This was the first time staying in an apartment and booking online. Cannot believe how trouble free it was. Chantal was lovely, any questions I had before our holiday were answered immediately, the apartment was beautiful and very clean, lovely pool and location.

You never really know if the property is as good as the photos show, but this definitely is, the owner has thought of every small detail. Perfect for families, there was only the 2 of us but so lovely to have the space Would highly recommend. If we have a return visit to Malta, only one place we will stay

A lovely apartment, spacious and provided everything for a home from home experience.

The apartment was as described and a lovely place to stay. Lots of places to sit and beautifully arranged bedrooms. In September, the shared pool was unused by others and was lovely to have to ourselves.

Outside the apartment block, the resort itself is ramshackle and there is little to recommend the immediate area but the views from the apartment are of the pool and sea and entirely charming.

Very comfortable

Loved this apartment. Large and luxurious with comfortable beds and pillows. Well equipped kitchen, infact everything in the apartment is well equipped and we had a very enjoyable holiday. The views are stunning and the complex is quiet with a gorgeous pool, never very busy.

You must stay here, save the bother of looking any further!

Apt 422 did not disappoint! It was every bit as spacious and beautiful as seen in the photos.It was equipped with every home comfort and convenience you could wish for. The beds were super comfy and we slept really well.

The pool was gorgeous and the view from the balcony lovely. There is also a rear terrace (very private) which we were not expecting. Here you can sunbath, read, let the kids play safely, all in peace and quiet.

We would recommend this holiday property for any family, and would definitely visit it again.

Fabulous stay again!

We are a family of 5+1 extra friend this year, 2 adults, 2x 18 year olds, 16 year old and 13 year old. Once again we had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful apartment. Such a great location and all the facilities you could possibly need in the apartment. We found so much to do in the area to keep everyone entertained day and night. Local restaurants are super and many within walking distance.Everything was so smooth and easy from booking to checking out, thank you once again Chantal and Gordon for another memorable stay in your apartment.

Our apartment has open sea views and the development leads directly to the sea. Malta's largest sandy beach at Ghadira Bay is a 10 minute walk away. Here you will find snack bars, sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports available. Other popular beaches like Golden Bay are close by. A short bus or car journey takes you to the port for a ferry crossing to Gozo & Comino.


Malta International Airport is approximately a 45 minute drive from Mellieha. You can travel to the apartment by taxi or hire a car. Should you require help organising this please ask we will be more than happy to assist you. Local buses provide a frequent service and cost effective way to see Malta and Gozo. A car is recommended for guests with mobility problems if they want to go out and about.


Bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away.

More can be found up a steep hill in the Mellieha village core which is a 5 minute bus journey away. It is possible to walk up the hill - it will take approx 20+ minutes and is not for the faint hearted. Here you will find bars, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, hotels, hairdressers, clothes and souvenir shops.

Further Details:

Our bus service offers a cost effective way of visiting various places of interest around the island.

Many places can also be reached via the Malta Sightseeing Bus which offers a hop-on, hop-off service, with north and south routes available.

Gozo is a 15 minute car and 20 minute ferry ride away from Mellieha, you can use the Gozitan bus service or Sightseeing bus to get around, Alternatively join one of the many escorted tours available.

For the more adventurous there is the Italian island of Sicily which takes only 90 minutes aboard Virtu Ferries, with day trips available for both sightseeing and shopping.
