Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Traditional Cornish farmhouse in the hamlet of St Endellion, a central location for the North Cornwall coast. Glebe Farmhouse is run by the Endelienta charity who run the two St Endellion classical music festivals a year and also raises funds to improve the church, the hall and the dairy for the community as a base for rehearsal and performance of music, arts and dance. The farmhouse is buzzing with people when the festival is on and provides peaceful accommodation at other times of the year. They also run the barn which has sleeping for 25 people in dormitory style accommodation. The beautiful 15th century St Endellion Church is on the other side of the road. John Betjeman was especially fond of it describing the church’s interior as “giving the impression that it goes on praying night and day, whether there are people in it or not”. The prime minister, David Cameron, holidays nearby and when this newborn daughter arrived they chose to give her the middle-name Endellion.
