Villa in Trapezaki, Sleeps 6 - Peaceful Location, Amazing Views, Close To Beach, Restaurants

Villa Mariza enjoys a superb position perched on the cliffs between the beaches of Trapezaki (approx 500m) and St Thomas (1.5km approx). Each beach has tavernas and bars and there is a pool bar even nearer, just a couple of minutes walk in the direction of Trapezaki beach.

The villa has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, thus sleeping 6 in comfort, with the possibility of a further 2 people using folding beds. There are 2 bathrooms with showers, a fully-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster and a lounge/dining area. Air-conditioning is provided throughout and there is also a washing machine, TV, DVD and CD player and internet access.

Outside the villa opens onto a large balcony on the first floor and a spacious veranda at ground level leading onto the lawned garden with bricked barbeque. The swimming pool is 9 x 4 and exclusive to guests and is surrounded by sun lounges and parasols. Car parking spaces are available.

Within 200 meters of Villa Mariza is the magnificent Trapezaki Bay Hotel and its many public facilities. On Trapezaki Beach is a highly rated restaurant and taverna. Within a 2km radius there are many other fine restaurants including the very popular Olive Lounge and the Andromeda with its varied entertainment. Villa Mariza has the backdrop of Mount Ainos, one of the 10 national parks in Greece, and provides many excellent walks. There are water sports available on Lourdas Beach. Villa Mariza provides a perfect base from which to explore the many delights that Kefalonia has to offer.

There is a regular cleaning service and towels and linen are changed twice weekly. The swimming pool is cleaned every 3 days.

On arrival, the keyholder will greet guests and provide a local map and lots of local information.

Villa Mariza is located at the foot of Mount Aenos, one of the ten national Parks in Greece. Surrounded by natural vegetation that consists of olive, pine and cypress trees the villas provide a breathtaking view across the Ionian Sea while relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere. Trapezaki Beach and St Thomas Beach are within a 2 minute drive and offer sandy beaches, exotic palm and banana trees. There are water sports at the popular Lourdas Beach that is a 5 minute drive away.

The village of Trapezaki and its neighbouring villages provide many excellent restaurants, two of which were voted the best in Kefalonia by Trip Advisor in recent times. There are many shops, tavernas, car hire companies, historical walks and organised excursions within the vicinity of Villa Mariza. Trapazaki is located on the south coast and provides an excellent base to explore the many beauty spots in Kefalonia. There is also easy access to our capital Argostoli to enable you to spend an evening of entertainment, boutiques and designer shops or simply ‘people watch’ in the main square as you enjoy a glass of excellent local wine.

St Thomas has two beaches, both sandy and with excellent swimming and snorkelling. There is a bar which serves salads and other snacks, and two tavernas - one of which usually opens only in the evening.

Kefalonia airport is approx 15km away and our capital, Argostoli, is the same distance. For those content to spend their time on the two local beaches, car hire is not necessary. For exploring the island, however, and for access to the larger shops, car hire is recommended. The nearest shop is a mini-market in Trapezaki that is 1km away. There are 3 large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive and all ferry ports are within a one hour drive.

The island capital, Argostoli is approx 15km away. Argostoli has museums, theatre, hospital, port, bus station, sports facilities, a busy fruit and vegetable market and a host of shops, cafes, bars and tavernas. Lourdas is 2km away. Karavados approx 3km. Pessada Port (daily ferries to Zakynthos) approx 5km.

St George's Castle, Peratata approx 5km. Mycenean Tombs approx 5km.

The island has many other places of interest for which car hire would be recommended.

Villa Mariza is neighboured by Villa Angelica. Both properties are identical in build with separate swimming pools, enjoy the same rental rates and are extremely private from each other. Individually, the villas guarantee a private holiday as they are separated by a large dividing fence. For groups of up to 12 people, the flexibility and option exists where easy access can be granted between the grounds of the two villas. This option may appeal to wedding parties or other large groups and a discount will apply for parties who book the two villas for the same dates.

Just Perfect!!

Everything was perfect, villa is nice and quiet, Hugh gave a lot help with places to visit and some good restaurants! Thank you Hugh!! Strongly recomend cherry roasted lamb, just cant remember what restourant we was in :( Hope to come bact again!!
