It is situated at the edge of the village of Hathersage within an acre of secluded garden with a large sunny South-facing patio commanding panoramic views. We invite you to experience the wonders of the Peak District National Park. Whether your visit is to celebrate a special occasion, explore the local attractions, take part in the numerous activities nearby or simply walk to your hearts content Sladen Lodge provides the perfect base. The Lodge is warm and contemporary with natural light flooding in through large picture windows and hours can be spent gazing across the valley and beyond. There are 7 individually accessed en-suite bedrooms all of which can be made up with two single or one huge super-king size bed. Beds are adorned with luxurious Egyptian cotton linen and soft down duvets.

Married to Richard, I've lived in Hathersage for 20 years, during which time we have redesigned and rebuilt Sladen Lodge with customers in mind. We live nearby and are therefore available to help with any queries or to answer any questions you may have.

My husband grew up in Hathersage and we have returned to his family home in order to be able to run Sladen Lodge. Located in the beautiful village of Hathersage, in an elevated position it provides amazing views of the Hope Valley from several rooms. Previous guests regularly comment on how comfortable and relaxed they feel during their stay here in Hathersage.

Manchester airport is 35 miles from Hathersage

There is a railway station in Hathersage which is on the Sheffield to Manchester line

There is a bus stop at the bottom of the drive on the Sheffield to Castleton route 272

Distances:

Sladen Lodge is located only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Hathersage which offers a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants.

Chatsworth House is 20 minutes drive and Castleton is 10 minutes drive. Ladybower, Derwent and Howden reservoirs are 10-15 minutes drive from Hathersage where the famous Dambusters practice took place.

Hathersage has a deli, bakery, butcher, greengrocer, local grocery stores, choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants, and a heated outdoor swimming pool which is open from April to October.

  • Outside: Sladen Lodge is located in an elevated position with spectacular views of the Hope Valley from the south facing patio equipped with garden furniture, parasols and bbq. There is a spacious lawned garden with shrubbery to the side of Sladen Lodge and a large car park with space for around 8 cars. Utility Room: The utility room has a microwave, a fridge and freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, sink and drainer, recycling space and airer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Egyptian cotton bed linen, Faith toiletries, hand towels and bath sheets are included for 16 guests.
