Garside is a comfortable and convenient first floor apartment, with delightful views over farmland to the nearby woods - an ideal location for holidays or short breaks at any time of year. In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, on the edge of the popular village of Grassington, it is a perfect base for walking, cycling or sightseeing. Parking for 2 cars is available. Dog friendly!

About Tina Tierney

We moved to the Yorkshire Dales over 30 years ago, and have lived in Grassington for most of that time.

Until recently Dave ran a salmon fish farm in the nearby village of Hebden, and is now building up a business supplying salmon whitebait to local restaurants.

Tina is a counsellor, and before that she taught at the local secondary school.

We have a 7 year old cocker spaniel Alfie who is quite batty but very friendly to any visitors.

We live next door to the flat and are on hand for any information or help required.

Great location but property needs updating and a new mattress!

The flat is in a great location and within easy walking distance of Grassington centre for its pubs and shops. The kitchen area of the flat is good, but the rest needs updating and in parts it was not clean. Our main gripe though was the bed mattress which gave us back pains and is one of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever experienced, so much so that we left on our last evening as we couldn’t face another night on it. With new sofas, a new mattress, a lick of paint and some new bits and bobs it could be a really lovely place, it just needs some TLC and some money spent on it. Shame as the location and views are great.

Lovely compact flat

We spent three nights in this lovely flat with stunning views of the country side. Only 5 mins walk to the centre of the village. There was private parking for two cars which is essential in grassington. The owner David was very friendly.

Lovely cottage style flat in a beautiful part of God's own county.

My husband and I (together with our two fur babies) had an absolutely wonderful few days in and around Grassington. The flat fit our needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable and the place was so peaceful, we barely heard a sound from the outside world. We'd love to stay again.

Beatufitul, quaint cottage style in the countryside.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The area itself absolutely beautiful! The hosts could not have been nicer and were extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend it!

Local buses link to nearby villages and the market town of Skipton, which is the nearest rail link.


5 mins stroll into village of Grassington

Kettlewell, Burnsall and Linton villages are worth a visit

The market town of Skipton is 10 miles away

Ilkley and Harrogate are less than an hour's drive.

Further Details:

Grassington is the hub of Upper Wharfedale, and boasts a good selection of shops, including a well stocked Spar shop, butcher, baker, delicatessen, chemist and several outdoor clothing and gift shops.

There are several cultural events during the year notably the Dickensian weekend near Xmas time and the popular 2 week arts and music Festival in the summer.

Fishing permits are available for the River Wharfe and local fishing lakes.
