Apartment in Carvoeiro, Western Algarve, Portugal - Very Convenient Location With Easy Access To Beaches, Restaurants, Golf, Tennis & Other Activities

The Vila Nova complex has been managed for over 20 years by husband and wife team Anibal and Isabel Raposa. The restaurant and bar is run by Anibal and the apartments managed by Isabel. You can be assured of a personal touch during you stay.

The complex has just 36 apartments and a communal pool next to the bar / restaurant.

The apartment 2B is owned by David and Jill Bekaert and has been in the Bekaert family since it was built. Vila Nova is just a 40 minute drive from Faro airport. The town of Portimao is just 20 min drive away, the biggest town in Western Algarve. There are plenty of family attractions within easy reach such as Sea World and Slide & Splash. There are many beautiful beaches dotted along the coast and within easy reach. There are a variety of restaurants close to Vila Nova and in Carvoeiro to suite all tastes.

Free WiFi is available in the reception area. A mobile router can be rented from Reception at a reasonable weekly rate for use in the apartment or on the go.

The Satellite TV receives UK & local channels.

Activity and Interests


Carvoeiro has its own beach with Paraiso beach just 400 meters from the town. Many other wonderful beaches are within 20 minutes drive from the apartment.


Gramacho & Vale da Pinta Golf Courses are within 10 minutes drive of Vila Nova. There are various other courses nearby.


Carvoeiro Clube is also less than 10 minutes away. There are 8 Australian Blue hard courts and 2 Astroturf courts. The club also has a large gym and swimming pool.


Vila Nova is just a 40 min drive from Faro airport. There is a wide choice of car rental companies at the airport and there is a shuttle service between the airport and Carvoeiro. A car is not essential as many amenities are within walking distance. However, a rental car is recommended in order to fully enjoy the local beaches and attractions.

Booking Notes:
If you wish to know anything more about the apartment, you can contact the owner David Bekaert by completing the booking form or calling directly.
On acceptance of the booking a 30% deposit is required to be made by bank transfer or by cheque in Euro or Stirling. The balance of 70% can be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival by bank transfer or cheque.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is negotiable depending on existing bookings. You may check in from 3pm or earlier if the previous guests have vacated the previous day. Check out is 10am on the day of departure. Luggage can be stored in reception if required.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in Euro for a maximum of 5 persons. Prices are inclusive of all bills except for the Nov to Feb period when gas and electricity is not included to due usage for heating requirements.

  • Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 4 adults (2 Bedrooms) Notes on bedrooms: There are two large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large double bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. Each bedroom has a dressing table, bedside cabinets and a built in wardrobe with drawers. The master bedroom has French doors opening onto a small balcony.

  • Outside: This well established complex is well maintained and has plenty of parking outside the apartment. There is one main pool with sun loungers provided by the complex. There is also a children’s play pool. (There are no life guards on duty.) Poolside there is a restaurant and bar. The family run restaurant has an excellent reputation with the locals and offers a variety of traditional dishes and a children’s menu. There is a small shop on site selling essential groceries and toiletries etc. that is open in peak periods. There is a complex reception that is open Mon – Sat in peak periods to answer any questions, solve any problems and offer advice. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Two days maid service per week is included. Towels and linen are provided and changed once per week. Beach/Pool towels are not provided. Other: From the living area there are French doors opening out onto a balcony. There are stone steps off the balcony leading up to the roof terrace, which is fully enclosed and has a barbecue area.
