About Diane Dirkie

I have lived in Albir for 5 years after discovering this gorgeous resort on one cloudy day when my partner and myself went on a bus trip and stopped in Albir. The beauty of the beach and pavement cafés caught our attention and before we knew it we had packed up our homes and jobs and moved to Albir. We have met many friendly people in Albir and there is always something different to do each day, be it the beautiful town of Altea and their Spanish tapas bars, or the bustling nightlife in Benidorm. Our family have visited many times and love it as much as we do. I now have a holiday apartment here and invite you to come and experience Albir for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Peaceful beautiful location, with gorgeous walks along the white pebble beach. Many different cafés, bars, restaurants and shops. Sunday market which attracts visitors from all over. Tapas bars allowing you to experience the Spanish way of life and friendly British bars to catch up with friends.

What makes this apartment unique

Home from home comfortable modern accommodation, with awesome gardens and pool area, suitable for all the family. A mere 2 minute walk to the bars and restaurants with a supermarket on the doorstep. Excellent bus service means you don't need a car or the expense of taxis to take you around.

Budget price ...so no frills

Due to my stupidity we were not able to access the apartment for two hours as I had put down an incorrect phone number. However I felt that the key holder could have checked to see that the flight was on time and therefore come over to see why we were so late!? The apartment has no sun at at any time during the day so it is cool but dull. The washing machine does not open after use and an allen key is provided but is tricky. The water heater conked out on our last day and as the couple who maintain the apartment were away and their replacement hadn`t a clue about the heater so we had cold showers. The kitchen has basic provision ..minimal crockery and no breadknife. Good fridge but the interior light doesn`t work. The balcony is small and cramped. Plenty of linen and towels and good location but being on the ground floor and near the entrance it is noisy in the early morning. This place would be ok for a couple of young friends but it is pushing it to say it can accommodate 4 people.

Owner's Response: I apologise for the washing machine not working properly, the door handle was broken by the customer who left prior to your arrival, a new washing machine has now been installed. The thermostat on boiler broke on your last day and an electrician has now fitted a new one. We don't normally call clients who are late in arriving as traffic or flight delays can cause late arrivals. This is why my customers have a contact phone no so they can get in touch if they wish. I'm sorry you feel the kitchen Utensils inadequate but there was a bread knife and plenty other kitchen utensils, unless these have gone missing. I will check on this. I do make customers aware it is 1 bed apartment which sleeps 4 by use of a sofa bed. I will take these points and look into improving any areas necessary.

Sun-loungers supplied and stored in the apartment for your comfort.
