DURING PEAK SEASONS OUR CHANGE OVER DAY FOR WEEKLY BREAKS IS FRIDAYS!

SHORT BREAKS ARE AVAILABLE OUT OF PEAK SEASON!

At a cost of 65% of the weekly charge.

DURING PEAK SEASONS: The change over day for weekly bookings is Fridays....out of season breaks, change over days are negotiable! :)

Pippins is a a secluded and versatile 4 bedroom house with 2 balconies overlooking it's lush gardens. The large fire place and numerous large comfortable sofas will provide a cosy and relaxing retreat in all seasons. Unlimited supply of wood for the burners in the winter make sure you will be warm and cosy! The location offers great opportunities for numerous outdoor activities with lots of walks on the doorstep, cycling and the lovely river walk into Wareham itself with numerous pubs and restaurants, boat trips and boat hire available at the quay!

Or you can just relax in the gardens in peace and quiet. Arne nature reserve, Poole Harbour and RSPB 5 minutes away. Plenty of parking for all your family and friends. Although charming upstairs because of the sloping ceilings for the taller amongst us there would be limited headroom. 2 sets of steps up to the property from the driveway, left hand side takes you up to the main garden, side access and front door with gently sloping steps.

The steps to the main front door and front garden are steeper and would not suit disabled or wheelchairs, without help.

Short distance for Arne Nature Reserve (RSPB), even closer to Stoborough Common and Hartland Moor for miles of walks. Whole area good for cycling and exploring the Purbecks.

Please contact us for any further information or quotes!

Any other questions please feel free to ask!

Thanks for looking! :)

Guestbook comments from the manager

Hi Bill and Annie

I just wanted to send you a quick note to say we all had such a lovely time at Pippins. What an amazing house and garden for our kiddies to play in, they had a blast and could have spent all week just playing there! It was spacious enough for all of us to stay in without feeling on top of each other.

The location was perfect and we loved walking to the lovely high street by the water. We really would love to return again one day.

Despite our bumpy start to the holiday where my brother was admitted to Poole hospital overnight (he had Quincy), the rest of the trip was fun and relaxed. Shame about the weather but we made the most of every day!

I can see why the house is so popular and we really hope to be back again one day in the future to explore more of Dorset!

Did not want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 5 friends with an extra 2 who joined for 1 night. It was a wonderful weekend: fresh fish bbqs, riverside walk from the house to wareham Saturday market and a twin criers competition, the local beautiful corfe castle ruin and a wonderful trip to Lulworth cove. What a spot! And what a house - truly peaceful gardens and multiple spaces inside and out to be together or reading alone. We wanted for nothing, other than to return!

A lovely stay in a lovely home!

  • 4 of 5

The house was easy to find with a private driveway with lots of space for cars. The house itself was cosy and inviting. It was nice to go back after a day out. The kitchen was great for family dinners and socialising, whilst the out room was convenient to sort out our wet wellies or wet suits!

A fantastic property - home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 5 with ages ranging from 29 - 64 and we all unanimously agreed about what a fantastic place this was. Everything was very very clean and all the necessary equipment to make sure we had a comfortable weekend had already been thought of. The bedrooms were all wonderful as were the bathrooms. We enjoyed such comfy sofas after long days of walking. The garden was fantastic and we even managed to enjoy a bbq! The highlight of the house is how well equipped the kitchen was and the fantastic big dining table that allowed us to gather and chat - such a lovely house and cannot wait to go back!

Pippins - an entirely suitable property and garden for a family holiday in the Isle of Purbeck.

  • 5 of 5

Pippins is a rather unusual property, having undergone conversion from a bungalow to a four bedroomed house within the original roof structure and with added dormers. Consequently the headroom on the first floor is restricted in places. Having said this, the house and its extensive and attractive garden provided very satisfactory accommodation for our family group of 8 persons (which comprised my two daughters, their partners and respective children - a boy of 6 years and girl of 4 years- my partner and myself) We enjoyed brilliant and warm weather (in the second week of April) which enabled us to make full use of the garden which was a magical playspace for the children. The privacy of the house and garden was an added attraction. The house is well equipped.

Situated in a quiet residential area, Pippins is within easy walking distance of Wareham along the banks of the River Frome. It is an ideal location for enjoying the many attractions in this very beautiful area of Dorset.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the kind review Adrian. We love Pippins and it's so nice to hear from people who have stayed, enjoyed the house, gardens and surrounding areas. There is so much to do on the doorstep and Purbeck is one of the jewels of our beautiful country! Thank you again for leaving Pippins so clean and tidy (welcome back any time) and we take this opportunity to wish you and yours all the best for the future. Kind Regards Bill & Annie

Excellent!

  • 5 of 5

We all thouroughly enjoyed the stay at Pippins.

The house was perfect for all 8 of us and we were not left wanting for anything. We loved Wareham especially the 'Old Granary' restaurant.

The fireplace was a big hit with the family, and we all loved the seating areas.

Overall the house and area was perfect for our stay, and we would love to come back next year.

Thanks to Bill for being really helpful and always replaying to the numerous emails I sent!!
