Pippins is a a secluded and versatile 4 bedroom house with 2 balconies overlooking it's lush gardens. The large fire place and numerous large comfortable sofas will provide a cosy and relaxing retreat in all seasons. Unlimited supply of wood for the burners in the winter make sure you will be warm and cosy! The location offers great opportunities for numerous outdoor activities with lots of walks on the doorstep, cycling and the lovely river walk into Wareham itself with numerous pubs and restaurants, boat trips and boat hire available at the quay!

Or you can just relax in the gardens in peace and quiet. Arne nature reserve, Poole Harbour and RSPB 5 minutes away. Plenty of parking for all your family and friends. Although charming upstairs because of the sloping ceilings for the taller amongst us there would be limited headroom. 2 sets of steps up to the property from the driveway, left hand side takes you up to the main garden, side access and front door with gently sloping steps.

The steps to the main front door and front garden are steeper and would not suit disabled or wheelchairs, without help.

Short distance for Arne Nature Reserve (RSPB), even closer to Stoborough Common and Hartland Moor for miles of walks. Whole area good for cycling and exploring the Purbecks.

We all thouroughly enjoyed the stay at Pippins.

The house was perfect for all 8 of us and we were not left wanting for anything.We loved Wareham especially the 'Old Granary' restaurant.

The fireplace was a big hit with the family,and we all loved the seating areas.

Overall the house and area was perfect for our stay, and we would love to come back next year.

Thanks to Bill for being really helpful and always replaying to the numerous emails I sent!!

Fantastic House in Wareham

Had a brilliant time celebrating my 50th in Bill's house just outside Wareham.

Pippins sits in a quiet lane and is a short walk to the river, and from there a 15 minute stroll away from Wareham.

The house is welcoming and spacious, with well equipped kitchen and and plenty of sofas to lounge on, and the house has both central heating and log fires for the winter.

The bedrooms are all good - the bed in the main bedroom is both massive and incredibly comfortable. The dogs loved the garden too.

Oh, and the house was clean - very clean for a house that has clearly been well used and well loved for many years.

Wareham itself is a great place to explore, with many pubs, coffee shops and restaurants - and an interesting history if you like that kind of thing. And 10 minutes drive to Corfe Castle and 20 minutes to Studland or Lulworth Cove for bracing walks on the coast.

All in all - a great break and I could not recommend Pippins highly enough.

Magical Autumn weekend

What a special weekend with friends in this lovely house. We (4 adults 2 4 year olds a 2 year old and baby) arrived on the Friday evening and straight away this place felt magical with its lantern lit winding path surounded by trees. Place was clean, tidy and welcoming, everything right there to get the beautiful log burner going. Fought over the fabulous balconied bedroom, unpacked and then cracked open a lovely bottle of red beside the fire - bliss!

We had more friends arrive the next day with children and really enjoyed the garden with its wooded areas and lawns and then shared dinner on the massive country style dinning table.

I have nothing negative to say about thus place, I will definitely be returning.

Great house and location

This is a lovely house, tastefully decorated and furnished whilst remaining cosy and relaxing. A great house for relaxing in a group of friends or family, Pippins is also in a perfect location for exploring the gorgeous Isle of Purbeck and beyond with plenty of footpaths from the door and quiet lanes for cycling, or just enjoying nature from the house and garden. Wareham is a lovely town with lots of independent shops and galleries, Corfe Castle has the magnificent castle ruin and lovely walks, and there is the seaside town of Swanage, the steam railway, Studland bay, sandy beaches galore. It's a landscape reminiscent of children's adventure stories, secret coves and little islands, perfect for picnics and beach walks and games all year round.

The house was clean with lovely cosy bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen and huge kitchen table for rowdy suppers, if that's your thing. A perfect place for a holiday.

Feels like home!

This place is really comfortable and relaxed. Great value stay for my family and I would definitely come back.

Walks around the area with the dog are very enjoyable, with many animals, farms etc nearby. It was nice to get back to nature.

Lovely house, great location

Pippins is a lovely house and was perfect for our weekend away with extended family. The property is very comfortable and well equipped. The children loved the garden and all the board games. There is so much to do in this area that we couldn't cover everything in a weekend so will undoubtedly be back. Highlights included looking for fossils at Kimmeridge Bay, a beautiful walk at Lulworth Cove. We also enjoyed the fact that you could walk into Wareham which has a selection of cafes and restaurants. The owner is extremely helpful and responded very promptly to all queries.

Ideally positioned for peace and quiet if and when you want it, yet close enough to all the benefits of this beautiful area, it's wonderful coastline, villages and scenery!
