The apartment has Wifi and Freesat TV you get the same channels as Freeview 55in smart TV in lounge 50in in Master Bedroom where you can Watch TV in bed.

The apartment complex is right next to the award winning Blue Flag beach of Los Locos with its first aid post and life guards, a really safe environment for swimmers & children. Residence is set around a tranquil stone floored courtyard with a pond. You have your own private roof-terrace and large terrace

There are several restaurants: near by There is a very nice Swedish gastronomic restaurant with entertainment next to the apartment.

A pizzeria with take-away and bar, lovely Spanish restaurants along the seafront offering a selection of delicious menus at reasonable prices including a bottle of wine free for a couple, (La Boca, Tribeca, Ibiza) and a traditional Irish pub less than 5 min walk away showing Sky Sports. On the beach itself there are also several typically Spanish "chiringuitos" (Beach Bars) where you can enjoy a glass of sangria or ice cold beers with tapas between sunbathing sessions. For the more sporty types there are 50 golf courses within a 30 minute drive.

The apartment Has all your home comfort Internet wifi 55 inch TV iPhone 4 docking station a normal coffee making machine and one where you but a coffee cartridge in and all your favorite TV channels. Apartment has 2 bedrooms, one double bed in the master bedroom (with a safe which allows you to set your own personal combination for added safety), the other room is twin bedded. The apartment is equipped with a very powerful A/C system, a life saver when the temperature is in the upper nineties. It is also ideal for winter breaks: Torrevieja is open all year round with its host of trendy boutiques & restaurants. I recommend Carrefour Supermarket for your food shopping and the new Las Habaneras Shopping Centre with loads of trendy boutiques (about 10 mins drive if you have a car).

The Bathroom which has a bath and tiled all over on floor and walls and hand basin. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside living space consists of a large terrace with a spiral staircase leading up to your own private solarium, fully furnished with patio furniture, and sun loungers where you can sunbathe and eat alfresco. The terrace is furnished with a large decorative round table with 4 chairs. There is a resident’s pool & the local shops and restaurants are open all year round.

To summarize the complex, I would describe it as being in a tranquil environment, in a prime location for the beach, ideal for restaurants, within walking distance to Torrevieja town center, in fact everything you could possibly need is on your doorstep so no need to hire a car. If you need to get a bus, it's just outside the complex on the right. For parents it is very child-friendly, a safe environment for children with the swimming pool being surrounded by tall decorative wrought iron railings and an imposing entrance gate, and just opposite, on the prom, a first aid post for any minor problems such as sunburns, cuts or bruises

How to get to Torrevieja from the Airport?

The nearest airports are Murcia and Alicante Airport

There are several buses from the airport of Alicante to Torrevieja. The bus stop is just outside the terminal. The ticket price is 7 € available by the driver. . The buses leave every hour.

There are also buses from Murcia Airport to Torrevieja but this service is not direct you have to change for Torrevieja at the central station of Murcia. Therefore it is better to rent a car, a taxi ( 45 €) or a private shuttle to Torrevieja.

lovely apartment great location next to the beach

Had a lovely holiday in the Duquesa Beach, everything was perfect the location just opposite the beach everything you could ask for on your doorstep lovely restaurants lining the beach with magnificent views and my favourite Irish bar Murphy’s where they show all the Sky premier league matches.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, I loved the TV in the bedroom nothing better than having a hard day’s sunbathing on the beach and just coming back and watching TV in bed. I have been to other apartments over the last few years where they advertise English TV but when you get there you find that the system is operated by an internet connection which is very unreliable and keeps crashing.

In this apartment there is a huge dish on the roof where the picture quality is just as good as the UK, the Wi-Fi is really good too as it is a Wimax system…. just thought I would mention it for all you geeks out there it comes in handy as I’m self-employed and it is vital I have a good internet connection! I liked the safe it was nice and big as my tablet fitted in there nicely with room to spare.

We will definitely be going back their next summer and would recommend it to anyone thinking of booking it.

Owner's Response: HI I am pleased you had a great holiday and you liked my husband’s set up as we have access to the roof thought the roof-terrace he managed to erect a huge 1.8 dish which gives perfect picture quality. we used to have an internet based system working off a receiver but it was so unreliable we had to come up with a solution as so many of our guests were complaining about it. Now the signal is beaming down and the signal strength is 100% Just as good as you get in the UK. I don’t know if you also noticed the WIMAX dish which gives a very strong signal it is better than fibre optic in the UK for the Wi-Fi connection. Look forward to you booking again next year rember to book early as the apartment is quite popular. Regards Catherine

Lovely place & apartment

Apartment had a great balcony & roof terrace. Great wifi access & televisions. The bedrooms & bathroom were good sizes & had very comfy beds. There is air conditioning in the living area & main bedroom but none in the 2nd bedroom. Also really appreciated the washing machine/utility area.

The main living area & kitchen was slightly smaller than we had pictured but had a nice sofa & everything worked in the kitchen.

There is a coin meter for the air-con which we didn't realise until we arrived at the apartment so didn't have any euros available until we went out in the evening. I would guest that we spent about €30 over the week on air-con which is not unreasonable but would add it to your list of things to bring. Overall the apartment was clean & tidy with several fresh towels available. There are a few items that need fixing such as the balcony outside light but nothing that interrupted our holiday.

The apartment is opposite the beach but is in quite a residential area. You have to go out round the street to get to the pool which is gorgeous & warm with a shower. However there are no sunloungers or pool bar. The locals bring their own chairs to the pool & the beach. You could buy some in the local hardware shop for about €20 upwards but we didn't bother.

The apartment is on the third floor & there is no lift so fine for us but maybe not for someone with walking difficulties.

We went to the harbour area on our 3rd night & found it to be more lively with lots of restaurants plus there was a fun fair which suited our teenagers.

We had a lovely relaxing week in Torreveija & found the owners of the apartment very helpful, they let us arrive early on our check in day & rearranged the cleaners day so we could do so which was much appreciated,

Nice place for a quieter holiday near the beach.

Owner's Response: Dear Amanda, Thank you for your 5 star-rating which is the most you can award and I am pleased that you had a wonderful holiday in my apartment. I also appreciate your comments on a few minor issues: regarding the light on the terrace the light bulb has been replaced, regarding the pool as mentioned you can bring your own chairs to the pool. Next time I go to the apartment, which will be in mid-October, I will purchase some beach chairs and a portable sun shade for our guests to take to the pool area or the beach. Regarding your comment about no beach bar just opposite the pool next to the beach (please see photos on advert) there is a beach bar where you can have tea, coffee, beer, wine, cocktails, ice cream, and a whole variety of meals from pizzas to burgers, salads and much more… Regarding the area, there is a host of seafront restaurants to choose from to suit all tastes including Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, but I agree if you like it more lively it’s a 10-minute stroll along the seafront to the Marina area. Me personally I find it too noisy but it is easy to reach from our location. Regarding the meter, I have tried to be fair and set it so you get a lot of time but since the Spanish power companies have been privatized, the electric in Spain has gone from being one of the cheapest to the dearest in Europe even more than the UK. Since the privatisation all apartment owners have had to fit meters due to the cost factor (The A/C is optional) and considering you were there in August, which is the hottest time of the year, and looking at my electric bill for this period it was on 24/7 so I would consider it was set at a cheap time rate. All the other electric is free. Regarding the stairs, it is a low level development and only has 3 flight of stairs that is why the developers did not install lifts.

A very safe aparment

I would thoroughly recommend the apartment we stayed there in August we picked it after phoning Barry the owner who reassured us on the safety aspect of the apartment as been a retired couple security is something we take very seriously when we arrived we found the apartment to be a ferry safe environment iron gate at the entrance spy hole on front door 2 lock on the door and a bold inside there where security blind on each window and found the apartment very well equipped and clean and in great location only 2 minute from beach
