Villa in Cortijo Cabrera, Mojacar, Almeria Andalucia, Spain - Exceptionally Appointed Luxury Villa Enjoys Spectacular Views

Entry is via a private driveway with plenty of parking where traditional wooden doors open onto a large terrace where both the front and rear of the house are accessed. The terrace to the rear is furnished with lovely architectural plants, a seating area and has plenty of play space for children.

Inside an excellent study area is found off the hallway, an ideal spot to keep in touch with the modern world while enjoying your holiday in the sun. There is a very spacious and well appointed lounge with fire place, satellite TV, DVD player and Wifi. The lounge has the traditional filigree arched windows on both sides which frame the spectacular views over the valley below, to the side and open plan is an additional seating area with direct access onto the superb front pool terraces. Beyond the lounge, the large fully fitted kitchen is modern and well equipped an has direct access onto the covered outside dining area which makes for very easy living both inside and out. Here vertical and retractable sun screens can make this a cool and shady spot to eat out of the hot Andalucian sunshine. Also very handy for the kitchen is the utility area which has everything to meet the needs of all your domestic requirements.

There are four bedrooms all of which have plenty of storage, air conditioning and are tastefully decorated. The master bedroom is en suite and is upstairs along with a twin bedroom. Both rooms have access to the upper terrace with its dreamy views of distant mountains westwards and the Mediterranean to the east. Here a comfortable seating area makes for the ideal spot to enjoy a sun downer or even a morning coffee. Two further bedrooms, one double and one twin, are downstairs and share the family bathroom.

Outside the simply stunning 10 meter pool together with the whirlpool spa are the center piece of this villa which is beautifully equipped for the outside living which is always so much part of the Andalucian lifestyle. The BBQ area is perfectly complimented by a service bar complete with fridge and storage. Beyond the expansive terraces host a fantastic seating area and dining table in which to while away the days or evenings in the warm Mediterranean sun. All the outside terraces benefit from surround sound speakers, ideal to enjoy your music selection outside as well as in.

Just back from the most amazing holiday at this gorgeous villa. The standard of quality in the furnishings, décor and cleanliness was exceptional. Everything we needed was catered for and we all had a very comfortable stay. The villa is very private and situated near the top of a mountain, where the views are breath taking. The garden grounds where much bigger than we anticipated and there is lots of seating areas and viewpoints. Plenty of restaurants and shops can be found in Turre but a car is a must (12mins drive). We had some great days out at ideal family locations like the water park, go cart racing, crazy golf, wild western parks and the beach, all between 20-50 mins drive from the villa (if you decide to visit only one of the western parks Oasys would be our recommendation). All of these had a attractions had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and were far less populated by tourists than we expected. This seemed to be mainly a Spanish holiday destination (this means good value can be expected rather than paying over the top tourist prices). The Airport in Almeria was approx. 50 mins drive by motorway and easy to find. It is a small airport and only takes a few minutes to pass through security, passport control etc. The management company responsible for the villa are extremely helpful & friendly. They even organised a taxi to bring 7 of us to the local restaurant and home again!! They also sell tickets to some of the local theme parks. We highly recommend this villa to all considering it. If you want a true Spanish holiday experience blended with luxury you won’t be disappointed.

The long and varied coastline of Almeria province is only 20mins away by car. The resort of Mojacar Playa has numerous stretches of blue flag beaches together with all the facilities you might expect in a summer resort. Heading north the sandy coastline features many more and equally notable beaches. To the south the pristine marine environment of rocky coves and sandy inlets that make up the Cabo De Gata national park are a haven for keen divers and sailors.


The hire of a rental car is essential when visiting Cabrera.

There are 3 international airports within easy driving distance.

Almeria airport is under 1 hour away .

Murcia airport is 1.5 hours by car.

Alicante is 2 hours away by car.

The villa is only 15mins from the nearest motorway exit, making it very accessible indeed.


Turre is the nearest town only 6km away and has restaurants, local shops and a couple of super markets.

The white washed hill top village of Mojacar Pueblo is less than 10klms away and has many quaint narrow streets, traditional town squares and a myriad of interesting boutiques and shops to browse through.

The fishing port of Garrucha is within 20mins in the car and has a busy marina and many fine fish restaurants.

Other towns of note would be Nijar, famous for pottery or Almeria.

The villa is situated in the unique village of Cabrera, its Moorish architecture and stunning mountain setting making it quite unique. There are two lovely restaurants and a bar in Cabrera and walking distance from the villa. Los Pastores has a fine Mediterranean menu, its terraces situated perfectly to take advantage of the amazing setting. Restaurant Riad Cabrera is a long established family business, its culinary influence coming from the north African continent only 100km away. Bar El Arco is open from mid morning till late, serving delicious coffee, fantastic tapas and fine beer and wine. Also in the village are other excellent facilities including a modern all weather tennis and petanque courts. Also available is Yoga courses and lessons. There is also a long established horse riding ranch where lessons can easily be booked. Also the surrounding hills provide extensive and varied hill walking.
