We had a really lovely stay at the Grove and thought the Gatehouse was fabulous! It was beautifully furnished and decorated and I loved your attention to detail. We have greatly enjoyed the apartment. We have not missed anything. everything has worked very well and we have appreciated all the details. So beautiful and practical and the weather was nice too!

Mr & Mrs Cloughley stayed in The Bailey March 2014

We had a wonderful short break recently at the Grove in Holt.

Holt itself has a great small market town atmosphere and the Grove is just a short walk from the town centre. It is also a really good base for all the coastal towns such as Wells and Hunstanton.

The Grove is a beautiful building and the ground floor apartment we stayed in was called The Bailey - it was decorated in a cool coastal feel really calm and relaxing and beautifully accessorised. The high ceilings and big windows let in loads of light and looked out onto the pretty, secure and well maintained grounds.

The accommodation was beautifully appointed, absolutely spotless and very well equipped.

We felt very pampered.

The Grove is new, and I imagine will quickly become hugely popular - we'd love to keep it a secret, but know it would be such a great holiday base for couples and families, that we have to let you know about it.

You wont be disappointed.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wendy and Les Cloughley (and Mini Schnauzer Bert)

Mr & Mrs Pailing, Northamptonshire stayed in The Bailey March 2014

We recently stayed in the Bailey at The Grove Holt and were pleasantly surprised to find great attention to detail. What a beautiful place and setting. Very private, clean, cosy and everything you could need in a holiday let. A real home from home. Fantastic real log fire and fully equipped with top quality items throughout the house.

I would highly recommend you staying here and there is so much to do around the area and Holt is a lovely friendly place. Try the Kings Head (dog friendly) for a warm welcome and friendly drink, they also do food. The Taste of India was outstanding and some of the best Indian food we have tasted, especially for a takeaway (restaurant available too). I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we did. We look forward to coming back and would highly recommend.

Ms Doherty, stayed in The Castle February 2014

The photographs belie the quality and atmosphere of The Grove. I recently stayed in the Castle with family and friends and would highly recommend a stay. The Regency property has been sensitively restored, maintaining original shutters, coving, fireplaces and a gorgeous circular landing. The furnishings are tasteful, comfortable (especially the beds) and the kitchen is better equipped than mine at home. Can't wait to visit in the summer when the ample garden will be in full glory. A perfect location for shopping in Holt and on the doorstep of wonderful beaches.

About The Owner

We live in Norfolk and have recently purchased The Grove, we will continue to provide the excellent accommodation in the same vain as the previous owners.

The Owner purchased this house in 2012

Why The Owner chose North Norfolk & Coast

The Grove was awarded Norfolk's Best Self Catering Establishment in the EDPvisitnorfolk.co.uk Tourism Awards 2015. The Grove ;Holt is only a short 10 minute walk from the Georgian town centre of Holt, 4 miles from coastal Blakeney with a full range of shops, galleries cafes and pubs, with ease of access to all North Norfolk has to offer. Holt steam railway is 5 minutes walk and takes you along the coast to Sheringham's sandy beaches.

There is always so much to do in the area and all the pubs are child friendly so eating out is easy and there are many places to choose from.

What makes this house unique

The Grove Holt is set in 3 acres of gardens and woodlands. The younger members of the party can scamper off into the adventure playground or start digging in the sandpit makes for an easy start to anyone's holiday.

The tranquillity and spaciousness of the gardens belies the fact that the cottages are so close to a busy town centre with every amenity including many exclusive shopping experiences and interesting galleries.

Fantastic Property, Grounds and Location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here at the end of June 2015 with 4 other adults and 1 child. Upon arrival there was milk, chilled water , a can of pringles and a bottle of wine waiting for us.

The house is beautiful and fitted out to a high standard. The grounds are well kept and nice to have a walk around in the morning, cup of coffee in hand.

My nephew really enjoyed the playground and only seemed to be having a bad time when we tried to remove him from the sandpit or the trampoline. As we were very lucky and got fantastic sunshine for most of our holiday, Alison very kindly brought out a paddling pool for the children to use which soon became the nephew's second home.

The house is ideally located so as to be peaceful but with easy access to local amenities, during our stay my partner and I ran into Holt for some exercise, walked there for an evening meal and cycled there for some lunchtime shopping. The steam Railway that takes you into Sheringham is only a 10 minute walk away and is well worth a daytrip.

Another tip would be to enjoy a cycle ride around Holkham Hall then a visit to the beach there. Its a lovely beach flanked by pine forests on each side.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would be more than happy to return.

Suitable for all age ranges.
