House on the Panoramica Golf complex, near Vinaros, Costa del Azahar / Valencia, Spain - An ideal location to relax immersed in the Spanish countryside, yet close to Med. resorts

Our property Golf D-2 is located on a modern golf and country club development, known as “Golf Panoramica”. It is less than fifteen minutes drive from the typically Spanish seaside resort of Vinaros, with the larger towns/resorts of Benicarlo and Peniscola within 20-25 minutes’ drive. Finished in a modern style, with accommodation on two floors, and air conditioning throughout (hot and cold). Well-appointed and equipped throughout, with outdoor furniture for the large sun terrace/patio. Complete with dishwasher, washing machine, drying facilities, ironing board and iron, television, DVD player and radio/CD player, and wifi internet. Overlooking the landscaped garden area and communal swimming pool facilities of the three San Jordi properties.

Our English caretaker lives nearby and looks after the house; she will have prepared the house for your arrival, will meet/greet you on arrival with the keys, and is available to support you during your stay.

About the Owner

Each of our holiday properties in Spain, France and Florida USA is owned by a member of the Steiner family, and we enjoy each house for our own holidays with family and friends.

Our houses are very much a "home from home", and each has been chosen by us for their own specific location.

We make regular inspection/maintenance visits to each property, and have an English-speaking caretaker who lives locally and who manages the property in our absence.

The caretaker prepares the house and meets/greets you on your arrival, and is available to assist you (if needed) during your stay.

The caretaker is also a very useful source of local information that will make your stay even more enjoyable - please do ask them about the best restaurants, street markets, local festivals and fiestas!!.

This particular property is on the Golf Panoramica Golf and Country Club near Vinaros, with uninterrupted views over the golf course (opposite the 16th tee) and vistas toward the rugged mountains inland, and out to the sea. It is set amidst the typical Spanish countryside of the Valencia region, with olive groves and orange trees all around, and is within a few minutes drive of a choice of lovely Mediterranean sandy beaches and fishing resorts. It therefore offers a peaceful countryside setting, but with ease of access to many places of historic interest such as Peniscola by the coast and Moraira in the mountains. The house is also well located for flights into local airports (Reus, Valencia, as well as Barcelona) and access to the main coastal AP7 motorway.

Travel:

Just 1 hour by motorway from the airport at Reus, 2 hours to either Barcelona or Valencia.

Distant views to the mountains inland, and out toward the sea at nearby Vinaros and Benicarlo - small, typically Spanish, seaside resorts.

Only 30 minutes by car to the larger resort of Peniscola, with its Old Town and castle, shops and seafront facilities.

Supermarket shopping is just 10 minutes drive away at the smaller resort of Vinaros, with smaller on-site shops at Panoramica.

Distances:

It is just a few kilometres off the arterial AP7/E15 coastal motorway; airports at Barcelona (2 hours), Valencia (1+ hours) and Reus (1 hour) are all within easy access by motorway. The views are magnificent, both inland to the backdrop of the Puertos de Beseit mountain range and National Park, out to the coast, and across hectares of orange groves and olive trees.

Places to visit during your stay:

In addition to the excellent choice of expansive sandy Mediterranean beaches at Vinaros, Benicarlo, Peniscola and further south toward Benicassim, there are local resorts at Alcanar Les Cases, and Carlos de La Rapita.

Inland, you can enjoy scenic drives through mountain terrain, with small villages and larger historic towns such as Morella. Further afield, there are the cities of Tarragona and Barcelona to the north, and Castellon and Valencia to the south - all within 2 hours' drive.

Services:
The rental price is inclusive of all bedding, household towels, a Welcome Pack of provisions, the services of our local English caretaker and pre-arrival preparation of the house. She will meet/greet you on arrival, provide the keys, and be available to support you during your stay.
There is an additional charge of €60 per booking, payable locally to our caretaker on departure, to cover laundry/cleaning.

We very much enjoy the peace and quiet of the Spanish countryside offered by this property, with the opportunity for an occasional game of golf and for visits to typical countryside towns and villages in this part of Spain. Because of its location, then you are equally able to eat out at lovely seafood restaurants along the coast, or to enjoy country fare in restaurants at villages and towns set into the rugged mountains inland. Our house is south-facing and adjacent to the communal pool, with the landscaped gardens and golf course leading from the large groundfloor terrace. It is therefore ideal for both families with children and for those who wish to enjoy the benefits of the championship golf course (designed in 1995 by Bernhard Langer) - both are literally on your doorstep.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Outdoor furniture for the large sun terrace/patio with an extending sun-canopy, and further chairs for the bedroom balconies. Outside: The climate is temperate (ideal for playing golf), becoming hot in the summer months (up to 30C by early afternoon), but with a pleasant breeze either coming off the sea or off the mountains, and typically 10-15C through the winter. The breezes do bring occasional cloud and rain, but then it keeps the area looking lush and green. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property comes complete with all bedding, household towels and utilities.
