About this property

Superb townhouse - spacious, south-facing to pool & gardens, with wifi/aircon.

Spacious and airy townhouse, traditionally furnished in typical Spanish style. Air-conditioned and fully-equipped throughout to a high standard, including patio furniture and items for the beach. Additionally fitted with ceiling fans in the two bedrooms and lounge with cooling fans elsewhere for the summer, and with electric fan-heaters and oil-filled radiators for the winter. Living accommodation is on two floors, having a large tiled patio and shaded porch area to the front, a tiled terrace off the main bedroom. Internal stairs lead up to the private tiled roof terrace, which is ideal for sunbathing during the day, and for eating out at night. We also have full WIFI, providing internet and UK TV channels.
This two-bedroom/two bathroom south-facing house is complete with a fully-fitted kitchen, spacious lounge with dining area, and comfortable bedrooms with baby facilities provided. It offers an ideal location for a family beach holiday slightly away from the centre of a main resort but with easy access to all amenities.
Our English caretaker lives nearby and looks after the house; she will have prepared the house for your arrival, will meet/greet you on arrival with the keys, and is available to support you during your stay.
Note: on departure, you will need to settle directly with our caretaker at €60 for final cleaning and laundry.

Another great stay
Excellent holiday home, with all facilities available and in a great location. Everything you need for a home to home experience is available and the house is very clean. A nice quiet community for a relaxing break with bars and restaurants only a 2-3 minute walk away. Communications with Simon and Alison were great and the information received relating to our stay was very good. We will definitely return again.

Recent stay
Just had 4 days at this house, could not fault cleanliness or location or house itself. Short walk to a few bars and Restaurants, a further 20 min walk to an Aldi and another 10 mins walk to more bars and restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending to other people. Also Alison who looks after the house was fantastic, responded quickly and concisely to any questions I had, also organised our return taxi to the Airport as there are no taxi ranks near the house.

Lovely home, well located and very peaceful
We had a lovely holiday, the house is very clean and well presented. Well located for local amenities, restaurants, bars and the beach. The house had everything to ensure that our stay was a pleasant one, very well equipped. Our communications with Simon during our booking and prior to our arrival was excellent. Alison's communications prior to arrival and our welcome and introduction on arrival was excellent and she was extremely helpful. A great holiday and we will definitely be returning.

This property is a rare find
This property has everything going for it: Quiet sunny position, with a beautiful view through the trees to the swimming pool. Very well equipped and homely. Near lovely level walks through a natural park. A wide range of excellent restaurants, within a few minutes walk. 15 minutes walk to the beach (off the road) and 10 minutes to coastal buses. 20 minute journey by taxi, to and from the airport, but not in any flight path. An excellent caretaker, Alison, who met us on arrival, arranged our return taxi and helped us settle in by answering all of our questions. This property is a rare find and we highly recommend it to you.

Gran Alacant Townhouse
Communication with the owner Simon and caretaker Alison very good. The house was in a nice complex close to bars restaurants and a shop. Not far from the beach. Everything was provided for a relaxed comfortable stay which we really enjoyed.

Each of our holiday properties in Spain, France and Florida USA is owned by a member of the Steiner family, and we enjoy each house for our own holidays with family and friends.
Our houses are very much a "home from home", and each has been chosen by us for their own specific location.
We make regular inspection/maintenance visits to each property, and have an English-speaking caretaker who lives locally and who manages the property in our absence.
The caretaker prepares the house and meets/greets you on your arrival, and is available to assist you (if needed) during your stay.
The caretaker is also a very useful source of local information that will make your stay even more enjoyable - please do ask them about the best restaurants, street markets, local festivals and fiestas!!.

Why they chose this property

Our house is on the established Monte y Mar development at Gran Alacant with south-facing views from the large rooftop sun terrace over the communal gardens and large pool and with vistas inland toward the rugged mountains around Alicante.
We enjoy the ambiance of the area, which offers the best of a seaside holiday without being in the resort itself. It is only a few minutes walk to a large selection of bars, restaurants and small shops, with a road-train that takes you either to the large Commercial Centre or down to the coast, with the tree-lined promenade, expansive sand dunes and beaches at Las Arenales and at El Altet.
It is also just 10 minutes by car or taxi either to the larger resort of Santa Pola with its restaurants, bars, marina and fishing fleet, or to Alicante Airport.

What makes this property unique

We very much enjoy the vibrancy of staying at this house. The area has an excellent climate, very hot in summer [we have air-con!!] and warm days from February through to late October.
We have Spanish neighbours all around who are most welcoming and friendly - it is very easy to become immersed into their Mediterranean lifestyle during your stay!!.
Our house is south-facing and overlooks the communal pool, with its landscaped gardens and shady trees. It is only a minute to the pool from the large front terrace/patio or expansive rooftop sun terrace, where it is pleasant to have drinks or to eat out/BBQ later in the day.
Our house is therefore ideal for families with children, to enjoy the pool and gardens, for going down to the beach, or for venturing further to busier nearby resorts.
