Spacious and airy townhouse, traditionally furnished in typically Spanish style. Air-conditioned and fully-equipped throughout to a high standard, and including patio furniture, BBQ and items for the beach. Additionally fitted with ceiling fans in the two bedrooms and lounge with cooling fans elsewhere for the summer, and with electric fan-heaters and oil-filled radiators for the winter. Living accommodation is on two floors, having a large tiled patio and shaded porch area to the front, a tiled terrace off the main bedroom. Internal stairs lead up to the private tiled roof terrace, which is ideal for sunbathing during the day, and for eating out at night. We also have full WIFI, providing internet and UK TV channels.

This two-bedroom/two bathroom south-facing house is complete with a fully-fitted kitchen, spacious lounge with dining area, and comfortable bedrooms with baby facilities provided. It offers an ideal location for a family beach holiday slightly away from the centre of a main resort but with easy access to all amenities.

Our English caretaker lives nearby and looks after the house; she will have prepared the house for your arrival, will meet/greet you on arrival with the keys, and is available to support you during your stay.

About the Owner

Each of our holiday properties in Spain, France and Florida USA is owned by a member of the Steiner family, and we enjoy each house for our own holidays with family and friends.

Our houses are very much a "home from home", and each has been chosen by us for their own specific location.

We make regular inspection/maintenance visits to each property, and have an English-speaking caretaker who lives locally and who manages the property in our absence.

The caretaker prepares the house and meets/greets you on your arrival, and is available to assist you (if needed) during your stay.

The caretaker is also a very useful source of local information that will make your stay even more enjoyable - please do ask them about the best restaurants, street markets, local festivals and fiestas!!.

Easy access from the Airport, ideal location

This property was ideal, enough of everything, great meet and greet from Alison with a nice little touch of groceries to get started.

Local shops, bars and the beach all within easy walking distances, we had a really relaxing holiday at this villa and with the pool opposite the villa cool dips on the hot days was a great relief.

I would definitely recommend this villa for a couple or a family for a fantastic holiday

Lovely holiday house, perfect position for use of pool. Few bars /restaurants within walking distance and beach 20 minutes away.

The house is so well equipped. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday.

The air conditioning is a fantastic bonus.

Alison, our meet and greet lady was just lovely. So helpful. Even organising our return taxi to the airport with baby seat.

Would definitely recommend this property. Simon, the owner was excellent to deal with regarding booking and information.

From the Owner

Our house is on the recent Monte y Mar development at Gran Alacant with south-facing views from the large rooftop sun terrace over the communal gardens and large pool and with vistas inland toward the rugged mountains around Alicante. We enjoy the ambiance of the area, which offers the best of a seaside holiday without being in the resort itself. It is only a few minutes walk to a large selection of bars, restaurants and small shops, with a road-train that takes you either to the large Commercial Centre or down to the coast, with the tree-lined promenade, expansive sand dunes and beaches at Las Arenales and at El Altet. It is also just 10 minutes by car or taxi either to the larger resort of Santa Pola with its restaurants, bars, marina and fishing fleet, or to Alicante Airport.

Special interest holidays:

This house is in a prime location, near to several seaside resorts (both north and south of Alicante). The expansive local beach at Las Arenales has the Parres Water Sports Centre, offering kayaking, sailing, wind-surfing and para-gliding. There is also a section of the beach at Las Arenales (toward Santa Pola) which is designated as a naturist beach.


We are less than 2 km. by quiet road to the small modern resort of Las Arenales, with its fine sandy beach and sand-dunes, cafes, restaurants and bars (they start just 10-15 mins. walk away!). The expansive beach and sand-dunes continue north along the coast from toward Alicante at El Altet, and there is a small coastal road south along the rocky coastline to Santa Pola. Just north of Alicante is El Campello, with its long promenade and expansive beach toward Benidorm.


Car hire is not essential, as our house is just 10 minutes from Alicante Airport (€15-€20 by taxi - and our caretaker will meet/greet you from the taxi). Car rental in Spain is cheap and you have easy access to main roads and the Spanish motorway network, with airports at Murcia (60 km south) and Valencia (150 km north). Alicante also a major railway station and is a port to both the Spanish islands and to north Africa.


We are just 10 mins drive from Alicante Airport and the A7 motorway, and 10 minutes up the road from the resort of Santa Pola.

The towns of Elche (with its Safari Park and Palm Tree Museum), Benidorm (for Terra Mitica and Water Park attractions) and Alicante itself (for its magnificent beach, the harbour, castle and Old Town) are all nearby, as are the many resorts on the Costa Blanca - both north (at Denia, Javea, Calpe, Altea) and south (at Guardamar, Torrevieja, Pilar) of Alicante.

Further Details:

Our house (and the Monte y Mar development) is just off the main coastal national road (N332), with its large Commerical Centre of shops/supermarkets, restaurants, bars and cafes at the entrance to Gran Alacant. The sand-dunes and beach at Las Arenales is within walking distance, through the Nature Park with its bird sanctuary and wildlife Centre. There is a tourist road-train (€1,50 per ride) that runs from the Commercial Centre, by the shops etc. near to our house, and on down to the beach at Las Arenales if you choose not to walk or to drive.

The nearby main resort of Santa Pola has an excellent promenade and beach, as well as a harbour/marina and restaurants/bars, banks and shops, and boat trips out to the islands.

There are many typically-Spanish smaller resorts along the coast to the south (La Marina, La Senia, San Pedro), with their local markets and restaurants serving regionally-caught fish.

There is an additional charge of €60 per booking, payable locally to our caretaker on departure, to cover laundry/cleaning.

From the Owner

We very much enjoy the vibrancy of staying at this house. The area has an excellent climate, very hot in summer [we have air-con!!] and warm days from February through to late October. We have Spanish neighbours all around who are most welcoming and friendly - it is very easy to become immersed into their Mediterranean lifestyle during your stay!!. Our house is south-facing and overlooks the communal pool, with its landscaped gardens and shady trees. It is only a minute to the pool from the large front terrace/patio or expansive rooftop sun terrace, where it is pleasant to have drinks or to eat out/BBQ later in the day. Our house is therefore ideal for families with children, to enjoy the pool and gardens, for going down to the beach, or for venturing further to busier nearby resorts.

  • Notes on accommodation: Furnished in traditional style, with accommodation on two floors with a large sunroof terrace, shaded porch and front-terrace that overlooks the communal pool and gardens. Parking is in front of the house. This is a modern, airy house, south-facing and benefiting from the local Spanish community setting of similar properties arranged around the well-tended communal pool and gardens. It offers excellent local amenities (cafes/bars, restaurants, small shops) - all within 5 mins. walking distance, and the nearest sand dunes and beaches are at Las Arenales - just a 15 minute stroll/5 mins by car. Banks, restaurants and bars, and choice of large supermarkets are at the nearby Commerical Centre - 2 mins by car, and at the nearby resort of Santa Pola - 10 mins by car, with its promenade, fishing harbour and marina, and boat trips out to Tabarca Island. Our house and its location has much to offer, in particular for that relaxing family beach holiday. Outside: There is a large tiled front terrace, with patio furniture, and a shaded porch area by the front-door - also with a bistro table and chair set. There is a tiled terrace with a small table and chairs off the main bedroom which overlooks the pool and gardens, and the internal stairs lead up to the full sun terrace on the house roof, with sun-loungers and chairs. The front terrace, porch and roof terrace offer ideal places to relax, to have drinks, to eat out and have BBQs in the evening - as well as to sunbathe during the daytime. There are panoramic views from the roof terrace, both over the pool and gardens and inland over the olive and orange groves toward the mountain ranges behind Alicante and Elche. The communal square is a vibrant place with a typical Spanish feel and and you can expect a lively welcome from the people who both live locally and who have houses here as their holiday homes - perhaps enjoying drinks and tapas with them into the small hours of the hot summer nights. Utility Room: Outside galleria area off the kitchen, for storage of beach equipment, patio furniture, BBQ etc, and all cleaning equipment for the house. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The rental comes complete with all bedding, household towels and utilities, and a Welcome Pack of "first-day" provisions (tea, coffee, milk, refreshments, cereal, biscuits).
