About Edward Verity

Emily is a Barrister and Edward is a Business Consultant based in London.

'Little Aldon' was a idea we had a couple of years ago. We came and fell in love with the place.

Little Aldon is our perfect and idyllic holiday home - and we love to share it with like minded people. We have two small children (3yr and 1yr) so we appreciate the importance of a child friendly and child-entertaining environment. The garden is sizeable and has children's play frames and other toys. We are constantly adding new things to keep kids happy - and take the strain of us parents!!

We also know the importance of staying connected - so we have fast fibre internet available, free Love Film Tv and a landline that you can use to stay in touch.

Edward Verity purchased this farmhouse in 2012

Why Edward Verity chose Yeovil

We wanted somewhere to escape outside London where work keeps us.

We really wanted to get away from the London commuter catchment areas and yet be within 2 hours from London. 'Little Aldon' has all the benefits of being in the country, surrounded by fields and cows - yet 5 minutes from Yeovil town with all the shopping and 24 hour conveniences.

This is what guests have had to say about their stay at Little Aldon;

“Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home, it all felt very grand and we all loved it – 3 generations and we all found lots to do. The home décor is divine and the bedrooms are comfy and stylish. The pool area is lovely and we enjoyed having that to splash around in… Thank You, Thank You, Thank You” - CT

“Easy access from all directions. A very comfortable and welcoming, relaxing home of a very high and much appreciated standard, clean, warm, a much cared for and loved home. We loved the feeling generated by photos and personal items around – full of care and affection.” - DP

“We had a Super stay!” - PG

“Swimming pool and diving board, big garden – great family get together!” - ST

“Space, very comfortable, family friendly, quiet setting. Great venue for a family holiday. Highly recommended!” - TB

“The house was very clean and tidy and Stan loved the fishtank. The fires, the pool, the garden, nice bedrooms – Fab bathrooms!” - SB

“Setting, Games Room, Bedrooms, Ground, Variety of Toys, convenient for Yeovil, bed linen clean and fresh.” - TO

What makes this farmhouse unique

Space, peace, quiet and family time.

You won't hear traffic or other noises except the owl at night, you can let your kids run free (as well as dogs).

BB "Just a quick mail to say what a great time we had at Little Aldon. The house was just right, with everything available to make us feel at home (thank you for the welcome note and bottle of wine). We were also able to fully enjoy the beautiful garden as the weather overall was kind to us"

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: Comfortable and spacious. The house has Infinity fibre internet so that you can keep in touch with the world and work if you have to! Outside: Over 2 acres of garden with fountains, and seating areas next to the ponds. Orchard at the end of the garden. There is an outside BBQ. POOL We have a private, heated, indoor (see below) swimming pool (5m x 10m x 9.5 feet deep, sole access) with sitting area next to the pool. Lockable. We get asked a lot of questions about our pool when people enquire, so here is some helpful info: the pool is large and fun, its under an old greenhouse structure so indoors but not totally sealed off or plush. We try to offer 24-26C temperature but could go higher with extra cost and notice. It is not shared - it is for your use only. This is not as warm and plush as a public pool where temperatures and chlorination levels are much higher. I prefer our approach, but its not like a Spa Health centre! Please note. So masses of fun, large, great for kids! Unless agreed pool is Mar thru Oct. Can we longer if needed...but this needs agreement. The Summerhouse has a sofa and armchairs and lots of toys. Utility Room: Washer-drier Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen, towels etc included. Please let us know if you need fresh linen or cleaning services during the stay. Also please let us know if you would like housekeeping, cooking or waiting services during the stay (subject to availability). Summerhouse in the garden with sofas and lots of kids toys. Pool - 5 x 10 meters, 9.5 feet deep - locked for child safety

A comfortable, elegant home. With plenty of rooms for the different generations to mix comfortably

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable Easter break. The weather was appalling so the playroom, games room and pool were well used. I would recommend Little Aldon for a special occasion break or like us just a wonderful family get together.

Charming house in beautiful grounds, perfect for a relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with a lovely group of ladies for a hen do. It suited our group perfectly with plenty of communal space for socialising. We were lucky with the weather so got to make the use of the fantastic pool and enjoyed afternoon tea sat outside. All the bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated and it would be a fantastic place to stay with kids! Unfortunately we couldn't get the wifi to work but it didn't spoil our enjoyment. Would definitely like to return again. Thanks Edward.

A great family getaway especially brilliant for young children

  • 4 of 5

We had a very relaxing enjoyable stay here. 4 families with a total of 7 children comfortabley fitted into the home which is full of warmth and interesting nooks. The decor is tired in places but this adds to the charm and relaxation for the parents as we were not on eggshells with the prospect of leaving grubby finger prints on white gloss. My recommends would be to up the kitchen facilities. An additional dishwasher, beer fridge and larger sink area would have been an extra bonus. Thank you for your hospitality

A relaxing getaway

  • 4 of 5

A couple of glitches soon sorted thanks to the prompt action of Mr Verity.

Otherwise a charming and large property enthusiastically enjoyed by three

generations. The pool was a great success with all the family especially

the children. The house is very well equipped with everything you need

for an enjoyable stay.
