About Adrienne Harrison

I have lived in Filey all my life and could not imagine living anywhere else. I love being by the sea and enjoy going for walks along our beautiful 5 mile beach or exploring on Filey Brigg with my two grandchildren. I am also a keen golfer and am a member of Filey Golf club.

Adrienne Harrison purchased this cottage in 2002

Why Adrienne Harrison chose Yorkshire Moors and Coast

It is a former fishermen's cottage in a quiet location within easy walking distance of the local supermarkets and Filey's many local unique shops, bars and restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Indian and of course Fish & Chips shops). There are two banks in Filey (Barclays and Yorkshire Bank). Filey's beautiful 5 mile beach is just 6-7 minutes walk away. The bus and train stations are just around the corner.

Fantastic Cosy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Trout Cottage is such a lovely property.

Parking is available, albeit a little tricky for a less confident driver to get parked. I managed fine in my hatchback.

Lovely kitchen and bathroom downstairs with living area suitable for 2 to 3 adults to chill out. The kitchen has a pull out table to eat at if you wanted.

It is in walking distance of everything you need.

The stairs up to the bedroom are a little steep but as expected in this property type, but there are safety handles to help with this which is great.

The owner left towels and miniature toiletries and all things needed in the kitchen (dish cloths etc) which was fab.

The whole process of booking and access was so easy and quick.

Thanks so much, I will definitely recommend and hope to return myself.

Lovely cottage in great location

  • 5 of 5

I’ve stayed on The Beach in Filey with my husband and our dog a couple of times and although we didn’t have a sea view, we preferred staying at Trout Cottage. The beach is only a short walk away and we preferred being near the local shops and restaurants (which are excellent). The cottage is comfortable, clean and well equipped. I couldn't manoeuvre our car into the parking space in front of the cottage but we were lucky and found space around the corner on the street on the rare occasions we used the car. The owner was helpful and responsive when we contacted her about the wifi data running out, but we are used to unlimited broadband and heavy users. We very much enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend the cottage - and Filey!

Lovely, welcoming cottage and an ideal base for visiting the surrounding area.

  • 5 of 5

Date of stay: 20th August 2016 for 9 nights.

We have been going to Filey for many years and decided to stay more central this year.

The cottage was welcoming and the owner left a lovely tray with tea bags, coffee etc just in case we hadn't taken any with us. It was also very well supplied with hand soap and toilet rolls.

This is an ideal cottage for exploring Filey and the surrounding areas. The cottage had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.

We would go back after a lovely day on the beach then go out a little later for something to eat and drink.

My 9 year old daughter loved it and said it was the best holiday ever.
