A beautiful newly build 3 bedroomed peoperty in the quiet seaside village of Beadnell. Located close to the beach and beautiful scenery of Northumberland its an ideal base to explore and enjoy this amazing area. Hilly Brow has 3 bedrooms; one double with ensuite and 2 single rooms - all with a sea view. A beautiful family bathroom completes the upstairs. Downstairs there is a large modern kitchen with dining area and a separate large lounge with patio doors onto a fully enclosed south facing back garden with decking and furniture. With all the mod cons you'd expect Hilly Brow is a lovely house ideal for a couple and smaller families!

About the Owner

I'm a mum of two children who runs the cottage as a family home, it's warm and friendly and I'll try to accommodate people's requirements as best as I can. Being a mum I know what it's like to go on holiday with children so I've tried to include as many of the basic children's equipment as I can - cot, high chair, stair gates, bed guards etc etc. I can even provide a buggy if required!! Just ask and I'll see what I can do!

Lovely stay at Hilly Brow

Hilly Brow is modern, clean and very well equipped. A very family friendly house with loads of books/games/toys to keep the little ones entertained! The owner was very helpful in providing a high chair, push chair, baby gates etc - very much appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to return, very impressed.

Lovely accommodation, fantastic area

Lovely house, very well equipped, everything you will need for a good self catering holiday. The house is 5 to 10 minutes walk from Beadnell beach. Beadnell is a fantastic base for any holiday in Northumberland. 10 minutes drive into Seahouses, you have the convenience of a larger town on your doorstep but a lovely village holiday stay. Nice easy drive to Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne and Alnwick in the other direction. I will definitely be returning to Hilly Brow for future holidays and cannot recommend this holiday let enough.

Lovely home from home

The house was beautiful, modern and clean, we had a wonderful winter break with walks on the beach in the snow and pints by the fire in the local pub the Craster Arms

Beautiful, clean well equipped house.

Thank you Susie for letting us stay at Hilly Brow this weekend. It is a lovely house, the cleanest, best equipped and most tastefully furnished weekend retreat I have had ( I have had many). Susie was a friendly, flexible and very welcoming host, I am already planning a return visit.

Simply the Best!!

This property is "Simply the Best!" we have ever stayed in. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard and also THE CLEANEST HOUSE we have ever stayed in!!! Everything you could possibly need for your stay has been provided even down to the hand wash in the bathrooms!! The owner went to great lengths to ensure everything was just right for us and we had a wonderful week.

Hilly Brow ticked all the boxes both inside and out!!!

It is within easy walk of one of the country's best beaches...fantastic.... even in February! There are plenty places to eat or drink, just a short walk or drive away with choices to suit all tastes....Indian, Chinese and of course excellent fish and chips!

I would highly recommend (in fact already have, to quite a few family and friends) Hilly Brow to everyone.

If you are reading this my advice is.... book it now because I am sure it will not be long before this house is booked solidly all year round

I'm passionate about the North East and think everyone should come and visit such a magnificent part of the country. I bought the house to provide a nice, clean and affordable place for people to stay and explore this beautiful area, I just hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Miles of golden sand within 5 minutes walk from the property! Clean beaches, excellent for children, families and couples.

Travel:

Located 40 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne, 10 miles from Alnwick and 30 miles from Scotland. Car recommended but not essential.

Distances:

5 minutes walk to a magnificent beach

10 minutes walk to nearest small grocery store

10 minutes walk to the best the Fish and Chips!!

10 minutes walk to two pubs both serving food, a beer garden and cold beer!!

10 minute drive to Seahouses where numerous larger shops and tourist facilities are located

25 minute drive to Alnwick – large market town

45 minute drive to Newcastle

Short Breaks - I do accept short breaks during the quieter months, please enquire regarding the cost.

Changeover Day:
Preferred changeover is Saturday but it can be flexible if required. Guests can enter the property at 3pm on arrival day and vacate by 10am on departure day.
