About the Owner

We are lucky enough to live, work and bring up our family in the Lake District National Park, North West England. We are passionate about providing luxury holiday accommodation in the Lake District and would love to share our beautiful cottages and village with others. Our background is in the Hospitality business and the knowledge we have gained over the years has made it possible to provide you with two of the very best self-catering cottages in Staveley. We have worked hard to make our cottages what they are and hope that you will come and enjoy them. We have a wealth of knowledge of the Lake District which we are happy to share both in person and via the information we have ready for you in the cottages. We hope to welcome you to one of our cottages very soon.

Lovely cottage, beautiful location. We enjoyed a lovely Christmas there. Lovely touch from Philip (the owner) putting a Christmas tree in for us. Cottage itself done to a high standard. Thank you.

Location

From the Owner

We bought Fell Cottage in 2006. Whilst spending time renovating it to an extremely high standard, we fell in love with the location and ended up buying and settling in our family home across the road. The area is rural but within easy reach of the village for walking the children to school or a stroll down to the pub. The M6 motorway is only 15 minutes and the whole of the Lake District is on our doorstep. What more could you want?

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: We are very happy to welcome dogs for a charge of £15 per dog. We do have ask though, that dogs are not left in the cottage alone and that they are never left alone in the communal area outside the rear door of the cottage. There are a host of both short and more strenuous walks straight from the doorstep which we are more than happy to advise on. Non pet owners should not be worried that we do allow dogs to stay in our cottages as we can assure you extra time is taken to remove all evidence of any pet that has been lucky enough stay with us. Please note this is a Non Smoking Property. Outside: The area outside the back door is communal to the other cottages. From here a pathway leads up a couple of steps to a delightful enclosed garden with a variety of plants, shrubs and wild flowers, a patio area, garden table & chairs, and barbecue. To the front is a small cottage style garden with bench seating, a great spot for watching the world go by and that well deserved glass of wine as the sun sets in front of you. Utility Room: Housed in a traditional outhouse to the rear of the cottage is the utility room with washer dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The beds are dressed in Egyptian cotton linen and the bathrooms well stocked with fluffy towels. Other: In another outhouse, to the rear of the property is a sauna to help you unwind after a long day on the fells, or just relax with a good book.
