With fabulous sea views, Ty Newydd is a charming and spacious ground floor apartment situated within a barn conversion off a quiet road in Upper Solva. The living area and two of the bedrooms look out over a pretty garden and across over St Brides Bay. It is only a short downhill walk to Solva's picturesque harbour, and the various craft shops, pubs and restaurants the village has to offer. Also within easy walking distance is the Pembrokeshire coastal path and the local shop/newsagents/post office.

Coast/Beach:

Solva is a pretty fishing village set at the head of a river valley and within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Within a ten minute walk from Ty Newydd is the coastal path and Solva harbour and quay, especially lovely at high tide. At low tide a short walk across the river and along the sands will bring you to Solva beach. In addition there are a number of lovely beaches within minutes by car including the broad splendour of Newgale and Whitesands and the pretty cove of Caerfai.

Distances:

The Cathedral City of St Davids is only four miles from Solva, the Cathedral itself and the Bishops palace being well worth a visit.

Further Details:

Within easy walking distance is the village shop which also sells newspaper and has a post office. There are 4 pubs in the village and several cafes, galleries and gift shops.

  • Notes on accommodation: Heating supplied by electric and night-time storage heaters, in addition to the log burner. Log burner starter pack provided. Dog friendly - One well behaved dog is welcome free of charge, although additional dogs may be permitted at the owners discretion. Outside: An enclosed lawn and patio area is accessible from the living area for the exclusive use of Ty Newydd guests who can enjoy a quiet drink at the wooden picnic bench while enjoying the views. A rotary washing line is provided in the enclosed lawn area and space for one car is available in the enclosed parking area. Outside secure storage space built in to the side of the property is useful for keeping beach equipment and surf boards. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Beds made up on arrival. Please bring towels, tea towels etc. Other: The hallway leading into the property contains useful storage for keeping coats hats, shoes etc.
