About the property

Penny Farthing Cottage in Trewellard, Nr. Penzance, Cornwall, England - Fabulous coastal position yet village location, the Atlantic cliff tops are a short walk away.

views. Very comfortably furnished with large sofas. Large original winch window with Juliet balcony/balustrade. Cosy wood burner for those cooler days. Outside private patio/outdoor eating area, perfect spot for alfresco dining, with access to further gardens and the swimming pool beyond. Ample car parking.

Penny Farthing is in the grounds of our family home Trewellard Manor Farm and you can enjoy our games room in the old farm yard, extended lawn areas with small children's play swings and as mentioned use of our outdoor heated swimming pool in June, July and August.

Fantastic coastal area with many excellent beaches. Our beautiful local Portheras and Boat coves are only a few minutes drive and the white sands of Sennen, Marazion, Porthcurno (open air cliff top Minack theatre) and many more beaches and coves waiting to be discovered a short drive away. The Cliff tops and South west coastal path are on the doorstep offering fabulous coastal walks, and this is an interesting tin mining area to explore, the Crowns mine stacks, Levant mine and Geevor mine are only a few minutes walk from here. There are many moorland walks, and there are lots of ancient granite landmarks and sites such as Men-an-Tol and the Merry maidens to see.

There are great pubs in the area, our own village has three in addition to The Meadery, and the well renowned Gurnard's head and The Tinner's at Zennor are only a short car drive or longer stunning coastal walk if your feel up to it!

This particular area of West Penwith is very unspoilt and all the more beautiful for that but the likes of picturesque St Ives (12 miles) for a livelier feel, Land's End (6 miles) and the likes of quaint villages like Mousehole are not too far away. Our closest town is the market town of St Just, only 3 miles, and that has your usual good amenities, plenty of eateries and galleries plus the stunning Cape Cornwall, England's only cape, some would call it the connoisseurs Land's End and just outside St Just is Land's End airport which has daily flights to The Isles of Scilly. The seaside town of Penzance is only 6 miles, with its lovely old promenade and lido and also the gateway to the Scillies by sea, The Scillonian.

The turquoise seas off Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre are 9 miles away. This is a relaxing and delightful holiday home, charming granite barn conversion with many original features and full of character. A warm and inviting home away from home. Reverse level dwelling with the main living space a vaulted spacious room taking advantage of the light and

You will be sure of a very warm welcome and we are on hand to help you have a fabulous Cornish holiday!

Good location to eat sleep and venture out from

  • 3 of 5

The youngest guest there (4) called it "The inside out upside down house". the revealed stone walls inside looked like the outside walls and the Bedrooms were on the ground floor and living rooms upstairs. This was a source of amusement for the week.
