Villa in Sao Bras, Eastern Algarve, Portugal - Traditional villa with beautiful Irrigated Gardens. Only 20 Mins From Faro Airport

Sleeps 9 Fully air conditioned. Extremely well equipped throughout. Located only 2 mins drive being on the fringe of Sao Bras town with it's array of bustling shops, cafe bars, and many superb restaurants. Overlooking the magnificent Algarve countryside. At the front is a magnificently maintained mature irrigated garden with typical Carrobs, Olive, Oleanders, Cactus, almond, pomegranate, and various other trees, shrubs and plants. A large drive and large flat parking area. At the rear a recently refurbished very private large Pool with UV water system and multi coloured lighting, complete with fully furnished patio areas, and covered terrace. A small orchard area with Orange, Lemon, Lime, Mango, Avocado, Apple, and pink grapefruit. Purpose built BBQ and preparation area. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. Perfect unspoilt location for relaxing and enjoying a family holiday. Only 20 mins to Airport, 20 mins to Beaches and Golf. Only 40 mins to the Spanish border.

About the Owner

We are the owners, Mary and Syd Morris and are from the North East of England and have been married for 37 years. I run a successful business in England and Syd works offshore in the Oil and Gas industry. After holidaying in Portugal and enjoying all of the magnificent things it has to offer it was an easy decision to purchase a second home here. We decided it was simply a fantastic environment for creating a perfect family vacation home. It is well utilised by ourselves, our children and grand children. Year upon year we improve facilities inside and outside the villa.

A real home from home.

This was a real find, a gem amongst all the Villa's we looked at. Decorated to a high standard, wonderfully furnished including many extras like beach towels, and all the little things that make so much difference, like a coffee maker, and plenty of things for the children to do. My Daughter and her friend loved 9.30pm when the pool lights came back on they could go swimming again. I'd recommend a car, as it's located up a bit of a hill and feels a long way to walk in 30 degree heat with the shopping. The help we received in advance from the owners was first class and I'd highly recommend it.

A beautiful and well-equipped villa

We were very impressed with the villa and its grounds, which were exactly as described on the listing. The kitchen was well-equipped with good quality appliances and a good supply of crockery and utensils. The bar-be-que area was great and obviously designed by someone who loves to bar-be-que! The outdoor eating/relaxing area had a good supply of comfortable chairs and loungers and there were areas for both sun worshipers and shade dwellers alike. The pool was a good size, clean and safe for small children under adult supervision. The large screen TV and extensive set of DVDs (plus X Box) were most appreciated and there was an extensive collection of books to suit most tastes. The beds were all comfortable and overall the villa was clean and well-maintained. Overall, villa was pleasingly decorated and furnished, cool and airy. The nearby town of Sao Bras has a pleasant leafy avenues and has a good collection of bars and restaurants. The villa is easy to reach from Faro airport, but do not rely on sat-nav to get you there. especially in the dark! The owners were very helpful in responding to questions and indeed provided a very friendly and professional service. The phone call we received whilst we were trying to find the villa for the first time in darkness was most fortuitous and particularly welcome. Without it, we could still be driving around searching!

Location

Our villa is typically Algarvian in style whilst benefitting from a host of modern amenities. Superbly positioned on the fringe of Sao Bras and is wonderfully peaceful with an extremely private 10 meters x 5 meters swimming pool. The immediate locality is very picturesque, surrounding hills and valleys with marvellous scenic views. Whilst Sao Bras is a bustling town it is not in the heart of the manic tourist areas. In a nut shell it is a perfect family location.

Faro Airport is a pleasant 20 minute drive away.

Distances:

By car Sao Bras 2 mins, Loule 10 mins, Faro 20 mins, Spain and Albufeira 40 mins. Nearest beach is only 25 mins. Quinta do Largo Golf only 25 mins.

A 10 minute walk puts you in the centre of Sao Bras.

Further Details:

Sao Bras offers a superb selection restaurants local and international to suit all pockets and tastes. Many cafe bars, shops, and well stocked supermarkets.

Please Contact Mary Morris by email or telephone for detailed payments.A deposit of 25 percent is required on booking and the balance plus a returnable deposit of £250 is required to cover any unforeseen breakages eight weeks prior to arrival. The rental is determined by the commencing date of the holiday and each succeeding week’s date of commencement. Change-over day is Friday or exceptionally another day by arrangement. Departure is by 10.00 AM on that day, unless otherwise agreed.

Normally a Friday, but of course can be flexible.

Notes on prices:
The above rates are for up to 6 persons. There may be a £50 per week supplement for each additional person. The villa rental includes all facilities , gas, electricity and water. Maid service for laundry is on weekdays, (except Portuguese national holidays). Weekly change of sheets and towels. Wifi, Baby cot, and High Chair available at a small cost.

Conveniently the property is located only 20 minutes from the airport. We have the benefit of being in a tranquil location, yet only 2 minutes from the centre of Sao Bras town. Within a 30 minute drive there is a host of attractions to suit all tastes. Golden Beaches, Lushes Golf Courses, Historic Towns, Gypsy Markets, Marinas and too many superb restaurants to count. Sao Bras is an area steeped in history famous as a main cork producing region. Quite simply our situation is suited for ramblers, golf enthusiasts, beach hunters, food and wine lovers, families and relaxing couples. Or a central base for exploring. We love it...
