Corrib combines total luxury with all the ingredients for a perfect holiday in Cornwall. Built in a traditional style, it has been completely renovated and extended to create a light and spacious holiday home with stunning contemporary interiors. It is approached down a long drive and is set in nearly an acre of private grounds with direct access on to a footpath leading to the beach. The property has a two storey annex with a large TV/games room downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs all decorated and furnished to the same standard as the main house. All bedrooms have luxurious pocket sprung beds, down duvets and high quality bedlinen. The large kitchen is extremely well equipped and has sea views. In the garden there are teak sun loungers, teak garden dining tables and chairs and a large Weber gas barbecue. Please note changeover day is Thursday.

Superb Cornwall house

Corrib is certainly the most wonderful house, we as a family, have ever stayed in. The nearby coastal walks are idyllic, outstanding restaurants are within easy reach.

The house itself is AAA - very comfortable bedrooms; great views and unbelievably peaceful. The owners have thought of everything to make Corrib a perfect holiday house.

Location

From the Owner

The house occupies a secluded position with a large garden and stunning views (constantly changing with the weather and tide) across the golf course towards Trevose Head. It is within walking distance of the beach, the golf club and the local shop. The coastal path offers an enormous variety of walks all with spectacular views. The local village, St Merryn, has a good range of shops and an excellent pub, the Cornish Arms, whilst Padstow's renowned restaurants and shops are 10 minutes by car.

Coast/Beach:

The beach at Constantine Bay is 5 minutes walk. It is a large sandy beach fantastic for surfing, swimming, and rock pools. Wonderful walks in both directions along the coast path. Treyarnon Bay and Booby's Bay are close by – both brilliant for surfing. A couple of miles along the coast from Constantine Bay and Booby’s Bay is Harlyn Bay - another great beach for families. It is safe for swimming with a RNLI Lifeguard station.

Travel:

Driving via the M5 and the A30 Constantine Bay is about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Bristol. Newquay airport is 15 minutes drive away - with flights from around UK.

Distances:

Padstow - 4 miles, Newquay - 10 miles, St Ives - 45 miles

Lands End - 60 miles, Eden Project - 20 miles

We completely refurbished the house and the annex in 2012 so that Corrib now offers very high standards of comfort in both summer and winter. There is underfloor heating, sitting areas to relax and enjoy the views, a games room and satellite TV. All bedrooms have been brought up to the same level of quality.

  • Notes on accommodation: Meet and greet service. Complimentary welcome hamper. One well behaved dog permitted (additional charge of £40 payable). This property is not suitable for toddlers. Outside: The annex is a few steps away from the main house. On the ground floor there is a Games room with bedroom 6 and ensuite bathroom upstairs. The extensive, largely secluded garden is mainly lawn with various low hedges. Two gates onto the footpath leading to Constantine Bay and the Golf Club. Paved terrace on each side of the house with teak tables and chairs and teak sun loungers. Outside shower and wetsuit drying room. Parking for up to 5 cars. Utility Room: Slate tile floor, wooden worktops, sink, base units, a tall storage cupboard. There is an washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: High quality white cotton bedlinen and towels are included. (Beach towels not provided). For week long bookings a mid-occupancy clean is carried out. Other: Dining/sitting room: folding glass doors opening on to terrace, oak dining table seating up to 12 people, sofa and arm chairs, iPod dock, wall mounted speakers.
