Could not have been better

  • 5 of 5

There is little to add to what has already been said about Andrew and Anne's villa. The location on the outskirts of the village is perfect and the property, both inside and out is as good as any we have stayed in anywhere. It had everything our extended family of 10 could have wanted.

Communication was first class and the emailed "manual" containing, amongst many other things, precise direction to the property was most useful.

Thoroughly recommended.

Outstanding property!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many villas over the years and we would rate this one as the best to date. The layout makes living so easy, the spacious terrace with enormous refectory table adjacent to the kitchen, the fantastic pool with attached jacuzzi (paradise for toddlers & now a new criterion to add to our long list!) etc, etc all brilliant. We loved the tasteful decor, the excellent equipment in the kitchen, quality beds & bedlinen not to mention the superb master bedroom & en suite. We greatly appreciated the generous provision of all basic materials for kitchen, laundry, inflatables, pool towels (very unusual in our experience) ........well, almost everything really. Just one small whinge - the bunk bedroom is very small indeed to the extent that even opening the small window was difficult.

We did not dine in Seillans because last orders were at 8.30 and our 2 toddlers were not ready to retire by then! Beautiful pizzas from home delivery service but in August pre-booking essential and then a long wait! Some lovely restaurants in Fayence but again pre-booking is essential.

Final accolade must go to Andrew who was a delight to deal with from start to finish. A phone enquiry from Anne on day 2 to check on our well being was a first so A+ for the Kelties.

Fantastic property in great location

  • 5 of 5

The Villa is as described in a beautiful little village within walking distance to nearby boulangerie, mini market and restaurants/pub. Nothing has been left out of the property from the kitchen items, BBQ, and entertainment system (useful for the children when it's hot) Outdoor was just perfect with bar, toilet, heated pool and Jacuzzi. Bit thank you and i am sure we will be back. Special mention should go to the ease at which it was from initial inquiry to booking and completion of the holiday. Pool man and agency lady very helpful and nice

Fantastic family holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic family holiday at this lovely villa in the beautiful village in Seillans. The villa has everything you need and the pool and garden are just perfect...the views from the villa are beautiful.

The villa is just a short walk to the village ..we can recommend restaurants both La Gloire De Mon Pere, where we had a lovely birthday celebration meal ..they were very welcoming including ensuring our 3 year old grandson was well equipped and catered for, and Chez Hugo where the food was excellent.

Seillans is very picturesque and there are about 4 large supermarkets within 8-15 minutes drive, along with the small supermarket in Seillans itself which is walkable. The coast and others towns of interest are all within an hours drive. Local bread shop on the square does excellent bread and is a 5 minute walk.

The villa itself has everything you need ..we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The information provided by the owners Andrew and Anne is detailed and they were very helpful with any queries or problems we had both prior to travelling and during our stay. Outdoor eating at the villa is on the shaded terrace on a beautiful large wooden table, with a matching sofa perfect for early morning tea or early evening drinks..oh I wish I was back there! There are plenty of sun beds and we had some wonderful BBQ's.

Thank you Andrew and Anne for allowing us to share your great choice of holiday home.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to this fantastic property, this time we took the grandparents, who soon realised why we had been so keen to return. It was even better than we had remembered!

It's an easy and fairly direct 50 minute drive from the airport to the house, and as soon as we arrived, we felt relaxed and happy. Seillans is a beautiful village, and the house is perfectly located for a short walk to the local mini-market each morning for fresh bread, and a relaxed evening stroll to the village, with it's pretty fountain in the square and it's restaurants (we can recommend chez Hugo, where the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is first class). The house itself offers spacious luxury accommodation, with comfortable beds, complete with top quality bedding, in tastefully decorated rooms (2 of which have en suite bathrooms), a well equipped kitchen, large open plan lounge and dining room, plenty of storage, family bathroom, cloakroom and utility room. There are two bedrooms and the main bathroom on the ground floor, so there's space for the whole family, whatever their age or mobility.

Outside, the sunny poolside terrace offers outdoor dining underneath a sheltered canopy, plenty of sun beds, parasols, table tennis table, barbecue and a magnificent pool and jacuzzi. There's a well maintained and private garden complete with views across the Esterel mountains.

With so much to offer in and around the house, you don't really need to go far, but if you want to explore, there are plenty of places to go, such as Cannes, St. tropez, Nice, Monaco, Antibes, Frejus and Juan les Pins, most within an hour's drive.

Even though there were six in our party, we all had plenty of space to relax and enjoy making memories of our wonderful family holiday in sunny Seillans. We hope to return!

Wonderful holiday villa.

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at this fabulous villa which was everything we expected and more. The pool and outside area made for a great family holiday. The villa was clean and well maintained. The picturesque village of Seillans and nearby Fayence allowed you to experience the traditional french culture. Thankyou to Andrew who was very helpful and informative from the initial booking. If you are lucky enough to visit you must try the local restaurant Chez Hugo- AMAZING!

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is Frejus approximately 40 minutes drive. Cannes, Juan les Pins, Antibes and the beautiful St Tropez are an hour or so drive away. There are lots of water activities at Lac du Ste Cassien (15 minute drive). The Gorge du Verdon is about an hour and 15 minutes drive and is very spectacular, with walking, kayaking, climbing and white water rafting. The gorge at Saint Cezaire is 20 minutes away and has amazing views, caves, rock climbing and a lovely medieval village.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Nice, 50 minutes drive. Car hire/use of car recommended.

Distances:

Seillans village centre is a pretty 4-5 minute stroll from the house along a quiet road. The local restaurants are excellent and being so close, there is no need to use a car. Also within a two minute walk is a small, but well stocked supermarket. The lovely village of Fayence is a five minute drive and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding area. There is also a lovely local Provence style market every Wednesday and Saturday with plenty of outdoor dining.

There are also several shops in the village itself, giving you everything you need within just a few minutes walk. There are several larger supermarkets (L'Eclerc, Intermarche, SuperU) and boulangeries within a 10/15 minute drive. There are lots of very good restaurants within easy reach, some of which are Michelin starred.

In Seillans and very close to the house, there is an Institut Gastronomie Riviera cookery school. Set in a beautiful location, they teach you everything from a two hour lesson on how to make the perfect macaroon to a full week course on traditional French cuisine; a delightful way to spend a week outside of season, enjoying the relaxed French lifestyle. The gliding club at Fayence (10 minutes away) is highly rated and offers experience days and training courses. The Terre Blanche golf course is a 15 drive minute drive away. a spectacular course with 2 international standard 18 hole courses. There you can enjoy a good choice of cafés, all with pedalos and canoes to hire as well as some spectacular inflatables, a great fun day out that is highly recomended.

The spectacular Gorge du Verdon is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes drive, but well worth the trip! the Gorge is a real natural wonder and one of Europe's most mesmerising river canyons. There you can enjoy climbing large limestone walls, some of which reach 700 metres high allowing you to admire the stunning turquoise waters of the River Verdon below.
