About the Owner

Bob and Angela would like to extend a warm welcome to Buckton House Holiday Cottages.

We have lived in the area for nearly 10 years and enjoyed our time here immensely having moved from a busy urban area. With our children having flown the nest we decided a new project would be exciting and made the move to Buckton.

Buckton is an excellent retreat from the hussle and bussle of every day life with its rural location and its locality to local amenities and attractions.

When we arrived we were greeted by Bob, the owner with a friendly : Hello: The cottage we were shown was truly outstanding, Bob proudly gave us the tour of Grafters Den and it certainly lived up to and beyond the description on the web page. First class , everything that could have been thought of was in place ready to use. milk in fridge, fresh eggs.

We had a family get together on the sunday Bob provided a barbeque and tools within 5 minuets of asking.

nothing was too much trouble fro Bob and Angela , from local information about buses and trains to local pubs.

A First rate place to stay and enjoy the cottage , the countryside and all the places we visited a truly brilliant holiday

Grafter's Den

Just returned from an absolutely fantastic 5 days at Grafter's Den, Buckton House Holiday Cottages. Firstly, what a treat to find such high quality, luxurious dog friendly accommodation! The cottage is finished to a very high standard, with open plan living with superb views. The owners were extremely helpful and left a welcome treat on arrival which was much appreciated. The surrounding area is stunning with fantastic walks, which suited us down to ground and vinnie (our dog) loved it. Even though the weather was mostly rain while we were there, we still enjoyed the beautiful location and found the cottage to be warm and welcoming on return from our walks out. We can't recommend these cottages highly enough and will definitely be returning, as well as recommending to all our friends and family. It was a lovely week and fantastic 30th birthday treat! Thank you. Hannah, Simon and Vinnie.

If bird watching and walking are of interest to you we are approx 1.5miles from the world famous RSPB Centre on Bempton Cliffs.

We are near to the end (or the beginning, depending on how you look at it) for the cycle route 'The Way of the Roses'. (bike store available)

We are 30miles from some of the best walking and cycle trails in the region at Dalby Forest.

Cultural appreciation may be of interest to you? Why not visit Sewerby Hall, Sledmere Hall or historic towns in the area (Beverley, York & Whitby to name a few).

£100 non-refundable deposit to be paid within 1 week of booking. If booking less than 4 weeks prior to arrival the full balance would be due when booking.

Payments can be paid by either PayPal, Cheque (made payable to R&A Griffiths), bank transfer or over the phone using a debit or credit card.

Check in from 2pm on day of arrival. Check out no later than 11am on day of departure.
