Description

The Barn Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)

The Barn is an old single storey brick and flint building with a large wooden clad extension. Although the old part retains lots of its original character, it has all the modern comforts you would expect with wooden floors, double glazing and full central heating. The lounge/kitchen/diner has a vaulted ceiling with beams and velux windows and gives the space an airy and light feeling. It has a comfortable seating area with two leather sofas, tables, sideboard and 32" TV/ DVD with freeview. The larger bedroom has a zip & link king size bed which can be presented as twin beds on request and a large built in wardrobe. The second bedroom has a double zip & link bed which can also be presented as twin beds. This room contains a smaller built in wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The compact bathroom contains newly fitted bathroom suite with L shaped shower-bath, featuring high and low shower fitting.

The French doors lead to the patio area and fully fenced garden suitable for dogs.

Beautiful area

  • 4 of 5

The details about the accommodation and directions on finding the house were all very clear.

The Barn was very comfortable and ideal for our stay. The facilities were very good particularly the kitchen equipment. The patio and garden were a bonus for us with the beautiful weather especially as we had dogs with us.

The area is very beautiful with lots of lovely walks.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely part of the country

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in The Barn which was absolutely perfect for our needs. Everything was clean and well presented and the owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Lots of little extras made it really lovely like locally made toiletries, milk ,bread and jam, tea, coffee and wine waiting for us in the kitchen. We took our dog Willow and we were shown where we could get clean towels and blankets for her as well as having a tin bath available for the muddier walks!

The cottage was warm, tidy and cosy with a fully fenced garden to keep the dog from chasing the chickens and ducks. Lots of lovely walks in the area as the cottage is within easy reach of the Wherrymans Way footpath, a dog friendly pub just down the road and fab fish and chips from the van in the village.

Not too far from Norwich for the fantastic cathedral (also dog friendly!) and fantastic old buildings and historical interest as well as supermarkets and high street stores. Well worth a visit and we cannot thank Pia and Ian enough for their hospitality.
