Detached House With Pool Harbour Views Quiet Village. Tourist Board Approved.

Updated: 24-Aug-2016
Detached 3 bedroom house. New plunge pool. Walking distance to beaches, shops and restaurants.

Pleasantly and peacefully situated detached 3 bedroom house surrounded by Mediterranean gardens. New plunge pool with views to the harbour. Private parking at the property. Located within walking distance of the picturesque harbour of Milna and white flag beaches. The house is clean and spacious with three double bedrooms, the master has a private terrace and there are two bathrooms. You can eat in or out. The village offers a variety of restaurants, bakeries and small shops. Small boats can be hired to explore the stunning coastline. The sea is clear, clean and safe. Either relax at the house or explore this beautiful island, by car, boat or bike. There is a frequent car ferry to Split on the mainland which operates all year round. Ferry services also operate from Split to explore other islands.

Brac is a traditionally fishing village which mass tourism has yet to find!

About the Owner

I appreciate good food and wine and also love the outdoors, the waters are crystal clear and wonderful for swimming or enjoying by boat. The island is diverse and stunning I have travelled all over it and am amazed by its beauty. The ferry links are efficient and run year round. It is island life but not cut off at any time of the year.

Milna is a traditional fishing village that time has forgotten and I am so glad I found this gem in the Med.

I have decorated the house in a simple clean and comfortable way and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Tremendous stay

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this villa, it ticked all the boxes. The view from the swimming pool overlooking the marina is surely one of the best views within this small, quaint town. We used the BBQ most nights and even went down to the marina for 7am to purchase the fishermen's fresh catch. Milna has plenty of nice seafood restaurants and we particularly enjoyed having a few cocktails watching the swanky boats moor up. The holiday was everything we could have wished for; incredibly relaxing, lovely food, lovely people and great accommodation. Take me back!!

Chilled out week in the sun

  • 5 of 5

We were a family of 6 adults and the house was more than ideal for our use. Location great, really enjoyed using the BBQ and when we booked back in April we didn't realise a pool would be installed by the time we got there. It was a very hot week so after a day on the beach and a short but steep walk up the hill from the village it was a very welcome sight. The outdoor shower by the pool has possibly the best view ever looking down onto the picturesque Milna harbour. Well maintained modern property with beautiful, crisp linen bedding and towels just like a good hotel. We didn't hire a car for the week as we always planned to relax and chill and we weren't disappointed as there is plenty to enjoy at Milna, with the beach, cycling and walking or just purely chilling out! One of the highlights was when we hired a boat (courtesy of Tony & his boat Olinta) for a day and he took us to several pretty bays and inlets to snorkel and swim which we felt was a much more relaxing way to sightsee. Besides the BBQ we felt some of our best eating experiences were at Restaurant Omo and the pizza restaurant by Milna harbour. We would love to come back again one day either with family or friends and would not hesitate to recommend the property and Milna as the owner was extremely helpful and communicative with any enquiries we made.

Ideal location, just waht we needed for a successf

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely holiday in Milna. The location of the house was ideal just up the hill from the town. Lovely to be able to wander down the hill to buy fresh bread and croissants in the morning and to experience some of the night life in the evening. The plunge pool was great for cooling off at the end of a day visiting the local coves with lots of swimming and boating. The location was peaceful away from the hussel and bussel of the town but near enough to experience and explore on foot.

The property was well maintained and clean and it was lovely to have air conditioning in the heat of the day.

The meet up with the agent at Split ferry port went very smoothly and we found the property with no problems due to the good directions.

We were very taken with the island of Brac and would definitely consider visiting again

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for a lovely review. The pool was new this year and we think it has made a huge difference in the grounds of the house. This is our holiday home rather than a business and we hope our guests enjoy it as much as we do. Milna is one of the few places that mass tourism has not reached (and we hope it never does)!

A lovely clean and well equipped house.

  • 5 of 5

I have just got back from a week (at the end of August) staying at this lovely house. We (including an 18 and 15yr old) were met exactly as planned and the communication with the agent on Brac before our arrival was excellent. The house was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The linen was crisp and the beds are what you would expect from a good standard hotel. The kitchen equipment is all there and clean. There are plenty seating options both inside and out. We didn’t BBQ but there is one and it looks to be good. It was interesting to see the garden with olive, almond, pomegranate and fig trees. The walk down to Milna took no more than 5 minutes at a leisurely stroll, the walk back took a little longer up hill but it was never a chore at the end of the evening. Milna is beautiful and your photos will look like postcards, the restaurant staff where we went were all very helpful and spoke good English; there are several restaurants and bars along the harbour front. There are plenty of grocery stores the size of a typical Spar here in the UK. There is a place where you can hire cars, scooters and a small motor boat and these details are best got from the tourist office in town where the staff were very helpful. Brac has a lot to offer, we rock climbed with our own equipment but you can contact a local adventure company that offer kayaking amongst other things. We rented scooters for a day which was worth doing and fun. On one day we visited about 4 towns and went to an olive oil museum and walked to an arched rock; on another day we drove to the highest point to get great views. The roads were never busy and driving is leisurely; because the island is only about 20 miles long we never drove for more than 45 minutes to get wherever we wanted and usually no more than 25 minutes. We visited Bol which was lively and had a beautiful beach which was the most crowded of all the beaches. Snorkelling was good wherever we went; there are usually designated areas to swim in most towns so there are no dangers of boats causing harm. I would recommend this property to anyone who likes a little exploring, some adventure but who also likes calmness and quiet and who doesn’t want to be in the middle of ’hustle and bustle’.

Good quality accommodation in Milna, Brac

  • 3 of 5

The house was modern, clean and spacious with comfortable beds. It's in a good position and just a few minutes walk (down a steep hill) into Milna and harbour area. We really enjoyed going into Milna in the evenings for meals and taking in the atmosphere. It's also a good base for exploring Brac.

As it was extremely hot whilst we were there (first week of August) we did miss not having an outside area with full shade. A area for eating inside would really benefit from a fan as this was too hot to use. At other times of the year this might be fine.

Would definitely recommend the house and this part of Brac - it was our favourite area of the island!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your positive review, I am so glad you enjoyed the house and Milna which is beautiful. The house does have air conditioning and there is an electric fan in the conservatory dining area. The outside dining area has recently been planted with vines which will in time cover the overhead area. August is the hottest month and even the locals sometimes complain it can be too hot. However guests from hot countries are quite at home! Unfortunately the UK is not blessed with such temperatures and it always takes a while to acclimatise. I hope you will enjoy a longer stay next time.

From the Owner

The house is large, clean and comfortable. surrounded by gardens, a new plunge pool was built in 2016 with stunning views to the harbour. The master bedroom has a terrace to relax and take in the scenery. The first time I visited Brac I fell in love with it. Brac has stunning scenery, dramatic landscapes, amazing sunsets and divine olive oil. Even when it rains the island is beautiful. I love Milna as it is historic and quaint with everything needed for daily living, the village in the Med that time forgot. Split is easily accessible all year round and the other islands are diverse and amazing. Brac has a great community feeling even in the winter months which can be equally stunning.
