Welcome to York House Penthouse, our stunning apartment in the charming seaside resort of Llandudno. Enjoy this light & spacious apartment in a recently converted lovely Victorian house, on a quiet residential street in the middle of the conservation area. Every comfort & luxury is catered for, from top quality bathrooms, to stylish furniture & superbly equipped kitchen. This apartment is Adults only.

It's a special place to come back to & relax after exploring the delights of this beautiful resort & the nearby stunning coast & countryside. You can even take in the great views of the Great Orme & the Welsh mountains from the lounge.

We bought this beautiful, newly converted, apartment when we gave up the day jobs. Holidays have always been very important to us and we appreciate the nice things in life. We therefore put a lot of care & into creating a lovely holiday apartment.

We want you to have the best possible holiday when you choose to stay at York House Penthouse. We get enormous satisfaction when our guests reward our efforts with wonderful feedback.

Why Kay Moore chose Llandudno

In our opinion, Llandudno is one of the most beautiful resorts in Wales. Its lovely setting, between two shores & the beautiful Victorian Prom & Pier, make it unique.

Trip Advisor have just named Llandudno the Best Seaside Resort in the UK (March 2016) and we totally agree!

It is a year round resort. Out of season we enjoy stunning coastal walks, yet can still return to enjoy the great choice of shops, cafes and restaurants in town. In the summer months the beaches & prom are bustling, with a great atmosphere. However, there is always a quiet spot to be found, walking on the Great Orme or the coastal path, or whiling away the time in one of the nearby lovely public gardens.

The fast access via the A55 expressway makes it easy to get here, even if it's just for a quick restorative break.

What makes this apartment unique

It's great being able to park the car & forget about driving when you feel like it. Everything is on hand in the resort. You can even stroll along the Prom to the Venue Cymru, where we've enjoyed some amazing touring productions from the West End.

We have lots of information, maps and books on the local area, available in the apartment for your use.

Notes on accommodation: This apartment is not suitable for children. It is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to it's second floor location. Apartment is strictly non-smoking. Pets are not allowed. In addition to allocated car space at the rear of the building, there is also roadside parking outside the property or in nearby car parks. Outside: You are just a short stroll from the beautiful prom & beaches. However, if you wish to 'take the air' outside the apartment there is a sunny seating area with two benches outside the main entrance, where you are welcome to catch the afternoon or evening sun. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels & bed linen are included. The property is cleaned & the linen changed prior to your arrival. Please advise us of the number of guests so that we may prepare for your needs. Other: Office area in hallway with desk & PC. The perfect property in every way, we would certainly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time in this perfect penthouse apartment. We had to comment on the owners attention to detail and furnishing the property to the highest standard. The two level property was equipped with everything that a visitor could wish for and many extra little details just made this property perfect in every way.

Luxurious bedding made for a comfortable sleep for all four guests, two fabulous bathrooms and two large sofas means that each couple (or a family) can have there own space.

The location was ideal, only a few minutes walk from both beaches, the pier, the Great Orme Tramway and the many shops.

The kitchen is very well equipped so if you want to eat in you will find everything you need. Alternatively you will find many place to eat and drink on your doorstep, to name only two, we can recommend The Cottage Loaf for a fabulous meal or The Ham Bone Brasserie.

This property is a penthouse, so would not be suitable for those unable to walk stairs but please don't let that put anyone else off.

If you want somewhere close to the attractions but somewhere that is peaceful, welcoming and relaxing, then this property is for you.

Das und kein anderes!

Wir können das Apartment nur absolut empfehlen! Es ist exakt so wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Allerdings sind die Räume viel größer als sie dort wirken.

Es befindet sich im 3. Stock eines sehr gepflegten Hauses, etwa 5 Minuten von der Innenstadt Llandudnos entfernt. Dabei ist es dort sehr ruhig.

Es verfügt über ein sehr großes Wohnzimmer, eine sehr große Küche und ein sehr großes Schlafzimmer. Zusätzlich gibt es noch, sozusagen in der 2. Etage, ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit einem kleineren Bad. Die Bäder sind beide mit einer Regendusche ausgestattet, das größere zusätzlich noch mit einer Badewanne. Alles ist sehr liebevoll und mit Blick aufs Detail eingerichtet. Insbesondere die Küche ist, anders als man das manchmal eher gewöhnt ist, exzellent ausgestattet. (Zusätzlich zu den üblichen Küchenutensilien gibt es auch Backpapier, Folien, Kühltasche, Dosen usw. – das macht das Leben einfacher.) Die Betten sind sehr bequem (160 cm) und es gibt ausreichend Schränke.

Außerdem ist das Apartment außergewöhnlich sauber.

Die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgt über eine Schlüsselbox, so dass man zeitunabhängig anreisen kann. Der Parkplatz ist ein super Extra und im Sommer sicherlich nötig. Zu unserer Reisezeit war aber auch an der Straße genug Platz.

Llandudno verfügt über viele Restaurants und auch Supermärkte (am besten sind Marks & Spencer, Asda und Aldi) sind zu Fuß und mit dem Auto gut erreichbar.

Das Great Orme ist direkt vor der Haustür zu erwandern, außerdem sind der Snowdon Nationalpark und die Insel Angelsey gut mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Die Strände sahen übrigens auch sehr schön aus, allerdings hat es uns dort im kalten September nicht so hingetrieben ;o)

Alles in allem wirklich die beste Ferienunterkunft, die wir je hatten! Und da wir bei weitem nicht alles gesehen haben, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

We stayed at this beautiful apartment for one week ,we found it to be very well equipped ,very clean and so comfortable. We visited without a car and found everything on our doorstep . Luxury penthouse is the perfect place to stay. Everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable.

The beds were amazingly comfortable and each morning was a delight waking up to such beautiful scenery. Llandudno provides the perfect balance of coastal and nature walks as well as having shops to wonder around and a good mix of nice restaurants to choose from.

Visiting the great Orme is a must as views from the summit are spectacular!

Definitely a place we hope to return to.

Car: not necessary


A short stroll to North Shore beach, the promenade & Victorian pier. There are often special events on the prom, eg Classic car rallies, arts events &, of course, the traditional Punch & Judy show!

Beautiful, unspoilt West Shore beach is just ten minutes walk away via the lovely Haulfre Gardens or straight down Gloddaeth Avenue. This is where you can pick up the Welsh Coastal Path & is the starting point for a delightful stroll down the Conwy Estuary into the old castle town of Conwy.


With great transport links to Llandudno by rail or bus & the apartment being so centrally situated, a car is not essential. Llandudno station is a ten minute walk away. Direct trains run from London to Llandudno Junction Station (4 miles away) in just 2.5 hours. Liverpool or Manchester Airports are approx 70 miles away & easily reached by car via the A55 expressway or by train. Holyhead ferry port is just 43 miles away for ferries to Dublin.


The walled Medieval town of Conwy, with its magnificent Castle is only 4 miles away. Snowdonia National Park is a short drive away for magnificent walking & scenery. Easy day trips can be made to the Isle of Anglesey, the old roman City of Chester, or further down the coast to Caernarfon or the beautiful Llyn Peninsular.

Further Details:

There is a great range of shops & eateries on the high street, a short stroll away, including a Sainsburys Local, with extensive opening hours. At the end of the high street is the Mostyn Retail Park with Debenhams, Next, and other well known stores. Llandudno Leisure Centre and Ten Pin Bowling is in this part of town too. The oldest pub in town - the Kings Head - is our 'local', a few minutes walk away & the wonderfully restored Llandudno Trams set off up the Great Orme from just outside here. Close by are the Happy Valley Gardens, dry ski slope, toboggan run and entrance to the Great Orme Cable Car.

The excellent local theatre, Venue Cymru, is situated on the Prom & regularly attracts high profile performers & quality touring productions. A multi-screen cinema complex can be found at Llandudno Junction (4 miles).

The beautiful Bodnant Gardens (National Trust) are a short drive away down the Conwy Valley & close to this is the award winning Welsh Food Centre with shops & restaurants for you to experience local produce.

North Wales has 4 mountain ranges, 250 miles of coastline & 5 world heritage sites - you will never be short of things to do in this area!
