Apartment at Via Montello/ Viale Cairoli, Treviso , only 29km, or 40 mins by train, from Venice. - Located Close To All Amenities, Has Convenient Access To Old Town But Enjoys Considerable Privacy

Elegant 5th floor, 2 bedroom penthouse, served by lift, with extensive balconies overlooking the old town walls, the old town roofscape and the unbroken and serrated line of Dolomite peaks to the north. A mere 29 km from Venice, and extremely well served by bus and train services, the apartment makes for a great inexpensive base from which to explore Venice and the Lagoon and a tranquil sanctuary to return to after all the crowds.Centrally heated in winter and air conditioned in summer, the apartment is comfortable, and though central, is actually very private and feels like being tucked away in the roof and treetops! There is off street parking downstairs, with apartment block keys opening the barrier. The apartment, being adjacent to the town walls, is very convenient to all the attractions of Treviso, and is well served by a punctual bus service, the number 61, which stops outside the apartment and accesses the railway station and town centre in 10 minutes. Access to the town centre is best done on foot however, with all sorts of shopping and eating out possible within ten minutes walk.

Super apartment

We had a fantastic 6 days in this lovely, well appointed apartment in Treviso. Situated just outside the city walls everything was within walking distance but there were also bus stops a very short walk away. The lift to the top floor apartment meant that luggage was easy to get in and out. There was plenty hot water, air conditioner cooled the whole apartment and the views from the balcony were splendid. This apartment is well positioned to visit Venice, Verona and the mountains. Definitely recommended.

A very comfy apartment, with fabulous views from every room, and a great location in Treviso

This is a great base for exploring the region, we didn't bother with a car - doing it all by train, making the most of the fantastically cheap fares, and ultra reliable services - heading off into the hills, south to Venice, and west to Verona and Vincenza. Returning to Treviso each evening to eat in one of its many restaurants, Da Fausta served fantastic Pizza, at such good value that we went four times, as well as sampling the many wonderful gelatos, or sipping Aperol Spritz in the main square watching the world go by. Treviso itself is a gem of a place - much underrated, with many streams (and working water wheels!) dotted throughout. The apartment is in a great location just outside the city walls, in a very quiet spot with fabulous views towards the Dolomites. It has a fantastic wrap around balcony, north facing and some of it east facing, which means the apartment stays relatively cool in summer, we were very glad of the shade. The beds are very comfy and lots of towels and sheets available and Brian the owner gave us lots of helpful information in advance.

I visited Treviso and stayed in this wonderful apartment, and I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The town is charming and very close to Venice. The owner, Brian, was very congenial and even mailed me my lost Kindle. I give it the highest recommendation.

A lovely apartment with everything you need. Just outside the walled town on Treviso. Excellent location with bars, restaurants and shops. Ideal for visiting the area.

The Perfect Place

We could'nt have stayed in a better place. The apartment was absolutely fabulous. Everything and much more than we could have wished for. The location was perfect . We actually flew to Treviso and was at the apartment 10 mins after arriving in the beautiful city. The owner Brian gave us all the information we needed was very prompt with his reply's from day one of booking with him. Kept in touch with us whilst there to suggest places to try which i thought was fantastic he was so friendly, and we welcomed all his suggestions.The best customer service we have received by far. The city itself is absolutely the best place we have been. Having stayed at Venice last year for a week we do now prefer Treviso. Have recommended it to all we know. Cannot wait to visit again. We walked around the whole city. Delightful. We ate at Osteria Del Torre and Tony Del Spin both fabulous. Had coffee at tons of places too many to mention all fab.The market is absolutely unbelievable hundreds of stalls. All in all best holiday ever. Only regret did'nt stay long enough. Well done Brian you are exceptional and hope to return soon.

Charming apartment in a delightful city

The apartment was very easy to find thanks to the detailed instructions from the owner. We arrived at Venice Airport where there was the number 3 bus waiting to take us to Treviso. The journey took only an hour. We then got the number 61 bus which stopped right outside the apartment and took under 10 mins. The apartment is charming and very much a family home with photographs and paintings done by the talented owner. The views from the balconies are stunning. Looking out over the rooftops and over to the Dolomites which is particularly special at sunset with your glass of Prosecco in hand! We dealt with the owner, Brian by email and phone and it was so straightforward. He was very happy to answer any of our queries and went the extra mile suggesting places to visit. The apartment is in a residential area just outside the walls and in the neighbourhood there are fruit and veg shops and a Spar not far away. It takes around 5 mins to walk across the road to the lovely old town of Treviso. So much to see and especially how the river is managed and flows through the city. Not to mention the wonderful market which takes place on Tuesday and Saturday. Walking in Treviso is a delight, always finding something new. Local transport is very cheap and we took train trips to Padua, Vicenza and Venice. You will not find many foreign tourists in Treviso mostly Italians who come to visit at the weekend. We would highly recommend this apartment for its charm and great locality and look forward to visiting again.

Your point about the scarcity of tourists is important, and sets the stage for a stay in a normal , workaday,albeit wealthy, Italian town, and not a ghastly tourist money spinner. The market too, is a joy and worth getting up early for, as is the Pescharia, or fish market, where our kids feast their eyes on the strange and exotic creatures waiting their turn for the cooking pot...Gulp! Booking Notes:
Once contact is made with the owner, Brian, you can pay in two ways.

You can pay easily using credit or debit card on the Ownersdirect website, 100% of rental plus €200 security deposit.
Deposit is automatically repaid seven days after your departure as long as all is found to be in order in the apartment and keys are returned to owner or his agent.
Keys and all relevant location and apartment info is sent to guests a month before your visit.

Alternatively, if you prefer, you can pay €200, to the owner Brian by bank transfer, this secures the booking on the calendar.
One month before your visit, you then pay the full rental amount.
At this point, Owner sends you all the location and other relevant information by email and sends the keys by post or arranges a key pick up on site. After your visit, your deposit is refunded by Brian via bank transfer, as soon as keys are returned by post and all is found in order in the apartment.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible on changeover days, not a problem. Arrival and departure should be at reasonable times, arrival not too late , ie, not after 9pm and departure should be done by midday or so.

Notes on accommodation: There is ample and secure off street parking, reached through a remote controlled barrier. Outside: There is a very long and extensive balcony, which hugs 2 sides of the apartment and affords stunning views all year round with the Dolomites sparkling to the north and the medieval town roofscape with its myriad campaniles and spires delighting both the eyes and the ears, to the east. To sit outside , enjoying your breakfast in the sunshine, taking in the snowcapped and unbroken line of alpine peaks to the north, as the many and varied church bells ring out the hour, is a pleasure not to be forgotten. Savour too, the sheer sense of well being, as you sip prosecco at dusk on the balcony, the swifts wheeling and screeching in the sky overhead,as the day fades. Please be aware of the care needed when using the balcony, and especially when it involves children. I never let my kids use it unattended, as they may drop something over or try to climb the railings.We can accept no responsibility for any mishaps arising from the use or misuse of the balcony. Utility Room: Ironing board, vacuum cleaner, etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: There is ample linen and towels in the apartment, and cleaning takes place immediately after rentals take place. Other: Entrance hall is spacious and clean with easy passage to all rooms of the flat and has walk in store for bags ,brollies, bottles etc.
