Bungalow in Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands - Ideal locations for a peaceful chilled out holiday.

We are only 10 minutes from the airport and taxi cost approx €13. Close to bars, restaurants, beach, and two 18 hole golf courses. Nearest cafe/Minimarket five minute walk, it is called Oraixa and they offer free Wi-Fi, Large beer only cost €1.50 and large glass of wine €2. Further down the town is a larger supermarkets on par with ASDA and Dunnes Stores called the Atlántico Centre which has a cinema and a large SPAR shopping centre. Great selection of meats, vegetables and fish with taxi rank outside the door.

About James & Veronica Phibbs

We are a married couple in our early 50's from Dublin Ireland, with 2 children, age 28, and 25. We fell in love with Fuerteventura in 2006 after a brief family holiday on our return to Ireland we decided to purchase our own piece of paradise. With the good weather almost all year round it makes it easy to enjoy and relax. The first thing we did was to totally renovate and modernise the property for our comfort. Our main bed room has a comfortable double bed with access doors from the bedroom to the Large patio area.

The bungalow is situated 10 minutes from Fuerteventura airport. Very close to local amenities, shops bars, restaurants, beach, water sports and 2 18 hole golf courses. A Pleasant walk to the centre of Caleta and local beach. Very close to Atlantico Shopping Centre which has a cinema, bowling, Euro Spar and many retail outlets. Other attraction outside Caleta include: Water park in Corralejo and Zoo both about 40 minutes drive. The apartment has Wi-Fi cost is approx. €15 per week. We offer deals for stays over 2 weeks or over, Such as Stay two weeks and get free "one week Wi-Fi" or stay three weeks or more and get "15% discount". Stay longer and we will gladly negotiate.

Notes on accommodation: If you fancy a round of golf you are welcome to use my golf equipment FREE, as the cost of renting a set is around £25, Strictly NO SMOKING in the bungalow. Air condition in main room at a local charge to care take (who holds the remote control), Eu30 or GBH 25 pounds per week. The bungalow is on the side of Chipmonk mountain with great views of the town and sea. Outside: Large private patio area with sun beds. Utility Room: Laundry room Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included and the property will be serviced at the end of each week, (if required fee applies). (Towels not to be used on the beach) Change over times 11 AM Departure and 3 PM arrival. Special arrangements can be made on these times. Other: Large private patio area, with outside tables, chairs and sun beds, ideal for a relaxing day.

Lovely Bungalow and excellent value for money

This was our second visit to this property this year and it has everything you could need for two people. It is clean and well maintained and the conservatory is brilliant for sitting in when the weather sometimes drops a bit cooler at night. Jimmy was friendly and professional in all our dealings with him and everything was as described.

The Montecastillo centre is about a 15min stroll away with the main centre and beach a further 10 to 15 mins. Taxi back from main town for only 3 euros.

Would recommend to friends and would / will go back in future.

Five Star....Modern and homely.......Double bed

The property is great and well worth the weekly rent. It is situated in a lovely quiet spot at the top of the island. Taxi is less than 4 euros from the spar supermarket in the shopping mall near Mcdonalds. It has everything that you would have at home. eg washer, cooking utensils,oven and a conservatory. The owners are wonderful and always keep you informed from start to finish. We have booked again for Oct 17. Weather was amazing for all 7 days. Sharon & Craig

This is our 4th. Time to stay in this bungalow. Location and the overall tranquillity in this area is exceptional. The new extension that the owners have added makes evening time so relaxing. It's like having all the home comforts while being on holiday. We've already booked our next visit.

Disappointed

Well the photos need updating.

No privacy due to lack of curtains or blinds.

WORST OF ALL NEXT DOOR

BAR workers long time renters keeping hours that are not in keeping with a relaxed holiday (chill my eye) . Bedding clean but mattress filthy.

Booked for 7week stay got a flight home after 3 weeks.

Owner's Response: First off let me say we are really sorry you had a bad experience as we rent in good faith and up until now , we have had only good reviews, but I thank you for your feedback and I will endeavor to look into your points. I except we need to update the photographs of our improvments as we have just spent Eu5500 on a new conservatory and the photographs are out of date with this improvement. Our last five guest were very satisfied with this work and their reviews on this web site reflect this, but I will update the photographs soon thank you. As for no privacy our bed room has full length black curtain’s and doors with blacked out glass that makes it impossible to see from outside and then the conservatory has full length glass that is blacked out from the outside also. Our back garden is fronted by a 2.5 meter wall and this makes viewing from outside difficult to impossible. As for people that may or not being staying next door, I will review this with the management team and Management Company if they upset your comfort, may I make an apology. Thank you for pointing out the bedding was clean as our Management Team make a great effort to keep our place in good condition for our guest, if as pointed out the mattress is worse for wear, we will immediately have it replaced. As for booking 7 weeks and staying only 3 weeks this is your personal choice, but my previous guest will testify to my ability to communicate and at no point until now have I received a written formal bad review. I am always as are my agents available by phone or email to discuss any issues you might be experiencing.  Thank again you for taken the time to review our bungalow and we will look into any open points from this review.

Excellent

I just wanted to quickly express the ease that i booked this Bungalow, The owners were very helpful at every stage of the booking and even allowed me to enter a little early due to flights.

Firstly the property boasts every thing you could need to enjoy your stay indoor or out. It really is home from home and when you think that you have left something at home i strongly suggest you have a look around because there will probably be one ( hence and old charger for my ipod:) . The property was well maintained and very clean with a great shower, always a bonus. The gardens were a lovely surprise due to the planting and the condition they were maintained.

The location is a little up the hill with a short walk to Caleta, personally i would say only 15mins maximum. On your way down to Caleta there are supermarkets and plenty of eateries and of course a few watering holes to break the walk if needed.

I will certainly be booking this place due to the above and probably more so the fact that i felt that i was respected as a guest and not a number.

Thanks again and hopefully see you again this year.
