Comfortable country cottage, water view, enclosed garden, private parking

Overview

Property

Updated: 16-Nov-2016
Cosy cottage in Carew near Tenby - Log burner, water views, close to pub and castle, quiet situation but easy access to main roads

Roselea Cottage is a small detached bungalow/cottage, located in the oldest part of Carew village. It has been fully refurbished to a high standard and has gas central heating and a log burner. There is a decked area to the rear, with barbecue and adjacent fully enclosed lawned area and off road parking to the side.

The cottage has hard floors throughout, either tiled or wood laminate with rugs.

The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher, freezer etc.

Suitable for any time of the year Roselea is in a quiet part of the village although not far from the main roads to Tenby, Pembroke etc. It is in an area popular for the nearby pretty walks around the mill pond and not far from the coastal path. Well behaved dogs are welcome at £10 per week each. Other pets only by prior agreement.

This is a strictly no smoking property.

About the Owner

We are a semi retired couple that live in the Tenby area and have two holiday properties that we rent out.

We have decided to offer them through 'Owners Direct' having successfully rented through the site ourselves on several occasions.

We aim to equip and maintain our properties to the high standard that we ourselves hope to find when renting a holiday home, and encourage our guests to give us honest feedback in order that we can improve on this.

Most winters we undertake some kind of upgrading or redecoration so the guests who return every year always have something new

Guestbook comments from the owner

The cottage has been successfully let through an agent for the previous two seasons but we have decided to now let through Owners Direct so that we can have more knowledge of who we are renting to and to cut out the middle man and offer a better price to our guests.

Lovely Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Roselea cottage. First impressions were how immaculately clean it was when we arrived. Back garden was completely secure for our dog and had a lovely decking area with a lovely view of the Mill pond where we walked our dog every day. Bungalow was very spacious and had everything you could need. Shower was fab! The Carew Inn practically opposite is great..we enjoyed a few lovely meals there and it is dog friendly. Carew castle is also great and definitely worth a visit ( we preferred it to Pembroke castle). Very near to Tenby and Saundersfoot both lovely and the Lilly Ponds at Bosherton are so worth a visit...absolutely beautiful. Thankyou Anthea we had a lovely holiday in beautiful Pembrokeshire

Good value for money, picturesque outlook from the patio, a pleasure to eat outside, easy parking.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage which was very comfortable and close to Tenby and Saundersfoot. Ideal for a dog with a secure garden and lovely walks by the castle. The property was very clean and tidy, and the owner was extremely pleasant to deal with and very helpful. The Tesco Supermarket at Pembroke Dock was very convenient, and the farm shop at Milton was very handy for milk and papers. We would certainly recommend this property to our friends and relatives.

Cottage with home comforts and superb location

  • 5 of 5

Roselea cottage is a lovely homely cottage that was very welcoming. It was well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday.

The log burner was a great feature and the views to the back of the cottage are amazing.

The location of the cottage is excellent as it is near to so many attractions , however has the bonus of a country feel as it is in a stunning village location.

The local Carew Inn was such a treasure. The staff were extremely helpful and with two hungry children in tow, kindly took our food order early. To add to the great service was delicious food and the atmosphere of a rustic pub with lit fires.

Thank you so much for a perfect break in your lovely cottage

Nice, comfortable cottage

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cottage in an interesting little place. I found the cottage and it's facilities to be exactly what I wanted and excellent if you're taking your dog like I did. The garden was secured, everything was clean and had all the mod cons.

Really liked Carew Inn as well, which is pretty much right outside the front door. The staff were very accommodating, the food was good and the place seemed to have a good atmosphere. It was ideal dog friendly in the bar and the lounge.

Everything went very smoothly and the owners were brilliant with communication and instructions.

I definitely recommend staying here if you want to visit Pembrokeshire and you have a dog. Also it's pretty close to everything - Tenby, Manorbier, Barafundle Bay etc.

Great spot for getting out and about

  • 4 of 5

Easy access out to tenby and all along the south coast, and also Pembroke for shopping.

Clean and tidy, and a secure garden great for our dog. Also just across the road from a good pub for meals at night.

Nice to be able to walk out around the castle in the evenings when everyone else had gone home

This is a quiet area in the oldest most historic part of the village where properties rarely change hands. Surprisingly spacious for its size the cottage has a cosy, homely feel and we fell in love with the beautiful views over the millpond.
