About the property

Cosy cottage in Carew near Tenby - Log burner, water views, close to pub and castle, quiet situation but easy access to main roads

Roselea Cottage is a small detached bungalow/cottage, located in the oldest part of Carew village. It has been fully refurbished to a high standard, has gas central heating and a log burner in the lounge for which we provide a starter pack of logs, kindling and newspaper. Also in the lounge are two comfortable leather sofas, a large flat screen tv, dvd player and radio.

There is a decked area leading from the back door and a fully enclosed lawned area to the rear, with off road parking to the side. The back garden is accessible via a wooden door from the parking area or from the back door of the cottage.

The cottage has hard floors throughout, some tiled and some wood laminate with rugs. All bedrooms have thermal blackout curtains and views onto the garden.

The bathroom has a large bath with shower over and a heated towel rail.

The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer etc and lovely views over the millpond.

Suitable for any time of the year, Roselea is in a quiet part of the village although not far from the main roads to Tenby, Pembroke etc. It is in an area popular for the nearby pretty walks around the mill pond and not far from the coastal path.

We welcome one or two well behaved dogs at £10 per week each however, we do ask that they are not permitted to jump or sleep on the furniture and are not be left alone anywhere in the property for any length of time.

This is a strictly no smoking property.

About Anthea Evenden

We are a semi retired couple that live in the Tenby area and have two holiday properties that we rent out.

We have decided to offer them through 'Owners Direct' having successfully rented through the site ourselves on several occasions.

We aim to equip and maintain our properties to the high standard that we ourselves hope to find when renting a holiday home, and encourage our guests to give us honest feedback in order that we can improve on this.

Most winters we undertake some kind of upgrading or redecoration so the guests who return every year always have something new

This is a quiet area in the oldest, most historic part of the village where properties rarely change hands.

Surprisingly spacious for its size the cottage has a cosy, homely feel and we fell in love with the beautiful views over the millpond.

Handy for the excellent country pub and restaurant over the road (which is also dog friendly!)

Also close to lovely walks around the castle, ponds and watermill

Good location, clean & tidy

Would recommed for some peace and quiet and country walks in the area. Property is well laid out with just enough room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Close to Tenby (10 minutes) and most places in Pembrokeshire are generally around an hour away.

Lovely cottage in tranquil setting

A very nice well equipped bungalow which is very well situated for both the beaches and nearby excellent pub restaurants (the Brewery Inn at Cosheston being the best). I highly recommend Rose Lea Cottage.

great location

Two dogs and three adults had great time in this lovely cottage. It is comfortable and well appointed, it has a log burner even a dishwasher, however with the view from the kitchen window you may want to do the dishes by hand. Enclosed garden to the rear a real bonus for the dogs. There is also a decking with views of part of the mill pond and surrounding area. It is all about the location of this cottage with a cracking pub just a few paces away. The Carew inn is really worth the 30 step walk from the cottage. The castle and mill pond is ideal for walking around even if you don't have dogs. Highly recommend this cottage and will be looking to book again.

Great little cottage

We loved the location of this cottage and the facilities within it. It's perfect for walking around the mill pond or visiting the castle (which was great). It had almost everything that we needed and we would probably stay again.

Lovely holiday cottage in peaceful Carew.

We enjoyed a 3 night last minute stay at Roselea cottage. The directions to the cottage were spot on and the parking at the side of the cottage was perfect. The owner was friendly and helpful and immediately sorted out a small problem with the toilet flush. The cottage is simply furnished but very comfortable and everything you need is there.The sitting out area at the rear overlooking the river is lovely and the the garden is totally enclosed which is great if you have a dog like us! The walk around the castle and mill is lovely- it's very peaceful and the views are wonderful. There is an ice cream shop at the mill and alongside is a small cafe/shop selling takeaway teas, coffees and cakes although this cafe may be seasonal. The Carew Inn (dog friendly) is only a few yards away from the cottage. The food is very good there and the staff very friendly. Tenby is only 10 mins away by car and Bosherton Lakes 15 mins. The walk from Bosherton to broad haven beach and then to barafundle is a must. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return.

Cosy Roselea Cottage

This property is a little gem - clean, comfortable and well equipped. The log burner made it very cosy - our dogs certainly enjoyed their snooze in front of it, and the enclosed garden. We had a lovely weekend break with walks along North and South Beach in Tenby, Bosheston and Carew Castle. The pub was ideally located and welcomed 2 and 4 legged friends. We booked a return visit as soon as we got home, so that speaks volumes!

Booking Notes:
£100 Good Housekeeping bond is required which will be refunded within seven days of guests departure, provided that the property is left in a satisfactory condition. Minor breakages such as glasses etc will be charged at cost price.
SMOKING in the property will lead to the deposit being retained in full by the owners.
Contact us before you leave if you would like us to inspect the property with you to confirm that your deposit will be returned.

Changeover Day:
Change over day is usually Friday (changing to Saturday in 2017) but other days may be possible out of high season

If a booking is made more than eight weeks before arrival, guests have the option to pay 25% of the total with balance payable eight weeks before the start of their holiday.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
