Apartment in Lelant, Nr. Hayle, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location On Golf Course, near beach.

Apartment on ground floor of main property with 2 bedrooms, one king size and the other with a single and king size bed plus en-suite shower room. Beds are freshly made up for our guests with duvets and sheets. Large lounge/diner with picture windows and stunning views overlooking the golf course and sea. The lounge has 2 leather reclining sofas, coffee and small tables, extending modern wooden dining table and 6 chairs. Separate kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, electric cooker and fully equipped for cooking and eating. Corridor to bedrooms and separate bathroom with bath and shower. Free parking and complimentary wifi.

About the Owner

We are Bob and Jacky and have lived here for over 25 years. Before that Bob had a hotel in Carbis Bay. Jacky has worked in the IT profession all her life and for the past 20 years in the NHS - but is now retired. Golf, dog walking and gardening feature in our activities as does entertaining. We live on the property and like to welcome all our guests personally. In good weather we like to have a BBQ with our guests (which we provide), or a glass of wine overlooking the garden and the lovely view.

Stunning View

We stayed for a very sunny week here this year with our dog. We got a warm welcome from Jacky, Bob and Roy. We were blown away with the view of the golf course and estuary from the property and from the front room. The apartment had everything we could need, the master bed is very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Pub within walking distance and the costal path a few hundred yards away! Perfect, we will be returning!

It is alongside the golf course and we are both golfers, plus it has the most amazing views and we were looking for a new business at the right time. It is on its own private road and in a rural yet seaside location. It has a lot of land for the cats and dogs to roam. It it our little piece of heaven.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Newquay at 18 Miles Nearest Barpub : Watermill, Lelant at 1.5 Miles Nearest Golf : West Cornwall at 150 Metres Nearest Train : St Erth mainline, Carbis Bay local at 2 Miles Nearest Restaurant : La Casita at 1.5 Miles Nearest Beach : Porth Kidney at 250 Metres Car: recommended


We overlook Porth Kidney beach and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach. This is a very large and clean sandy beach where kite surfing, wind surfing and body boarding take place - as well as swimming. Hayle beaches are just across the Estuary and can be reached by car in about 20 minutes.

We are about 15 minutes away from Paradise park where they have a wonderful bird and small animal zoo, a train ride around the grounds and a soft play area for children as well as cafeteria.

There are 3 pubs within a couple of miles and local restaurants in Carbis Bay as well as St Ives. The leisure centre in St Ives has a large pool as well a gymnasium.

On the far side of St Ives, we recommend trips to Zennor, to see the Mermaid and to Botallack Mine as well as onward to Sennen Cove and Land's end.

Tehidy Woods are about 20 minutes by car in the direction of Camborne and provide several woodland walks.

The Coastal footpath to Stives to the West and Hayle to the East is on our doorstep.


We are about 10 minutes by car from St Ives, 20 minutes from Penzance, and 5 minutes from the local main line train station at St Erth. Newquay airport is about an 50 minutes by car. Lelant village is a 5 minute walk away.


We are 3 miles from St Ives and Hayle, and 10 miles from Penzance. Truro is about 24 miles.

Further Details:

The village has 2 pubs which serve food. The local supermarket is in Carbis Bay (8 minutes by car) which also has a post office. St Ives has lots of unique shops, banks, cinema, leisure centre and superb fish restaurants.There are supermarkets in Hayle (Asda, Lidl, Co-op) which is 15 minutes away, plus post offices, Marks and Spencer and several restaurants. Penzance has more supermarkets, shops and cinema.

Children welcome and large gardens are suitable for games of football, cricket, etc. Heating is via night storage and convector heaters. The garden is about 3/4 of an acre and is completely private with steps to the coastal footpath and golf course.
