The Shippon (4 guests) and The Dairy (2 guests) are located in the rural setting of the Cheshire countryside on the edge of the village of Eaton. Eaton is a small village near the large village of Tarporley. Eaton has a busy village hall 'Jessie Hughes Village Hall' There is a monthly film night, quiz night through the winter and other village activities throughout the year. There is a village church, St Thomas' - service 9am Sundays. You can walk into Tarporley 25'ish' minutes up the quieter country road of Sapling Lane.
I live in the farmhouse with my husband and 1 teenage son, our daughter and 2 sons have already flown the nest for university life. I work as a nurse in the local community Hospital in Tarporley. We welcome our guests on arrival and have plenty of information available to make their stay enjoyable. We have a lot of returning guests so we must be doing something right!
Anne Kelly purchased this barn in 2007
We have lived in the area for over 26 years. Lower House Farm was bought by us in 2007 and is 'work in progress'! We had the chance to renovate the farm buildings in 2011 to 2 stylish holiday accommodations. They offer up to date convenience. Both have underfloor heating and lovely Clearview log-burners, well equipped kitchens and lovely lounge space. We love the location of our home, it is on the fringe of the village, part of the community but opens out to lovely Cheshire Countryside on the other. Eaton has no regular bus service the nearest is 1 mile away in Tarporley which offers a regular service between Crewe and Chester. There is a network of country lanes locally so a countryside stroll is easy!
The Shippon and Dairy are nestled between the owners farmhouse and the original barns converted in the 1990's. They lie on the edge of the quiet village of Eaton, which has a primary school, church and a busy Village Hall. We have ample parking space, opening out to the lovely views of rural Cheshire. The accommodation offers quiet, short or long breaks for guests wishing to explore Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales. Oulton Park race course is just about 1 mile from the barns, so very handy for the race course fan, our ample parking allows you to bring your own vehicle trailer. Just over 1 mile away is the popular village of Tarporley offering boutiques, coffee shops, restaurant, wine bar and traditional pub foods. It is about a 20-30 minute walk along quiet country lanes.

What a lovely stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!
A beautiful cottage, very clean and cosy. Nicely decorated in a lovely location. We would recommended you stay here if you a want a romantic and cosy holiday!
I had a wonderful stay at The Dairy. I enjoyed a jolly good rest, in a very homely cottage. The Dairy had everything I needed, & the situation was handy for visiting my family & friends. Anne & Declan were kind & helpful, & I made friends with their little Westie, Mickey. And the hens! My husband stayed at the weekend, & we thoroughly enjoyed pottering around Tarporley & visiting the pubs there. Thank you!
