Why Kevin Stevens chose Cornwall

We wanted somewhere in the countryside with access to the coastal paths but close to St Ives for its beaches and restaurants. At one point we found it impossible to find a Cottage that would accept 3 dogs, so we decided to buy our own and help other people in the same position to enjoy St Ives and the surrounding area. The garden, with its paths, flower beds and abundant birdlife, is a particular source of pleasure to us.

What makes this cottage unique

Remote and peaceful, yet close enough to the pubs, restaurants and shops of St Ives, Bramble Cottage is the perfect location to enjoy everything Cornwall has to offer. As dog owners ourselves, we know how frustrating it can be trying to find accommodation that is both high quality and pet friendly; it is important to us that all the members of your holiday group (both two and four-legged) can relax and enjoy your time here. The garden is fully enclosed, and we welcome up to 4 dogs( dependant on number of giant breeds )

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Bramble Cottage with our whole family (7 adults in total) plus our two Labradors. They adored the safe and enclosed garden which gave them (and us) plenty of room to run around. The house itself is spacious, comfortable and very well appointed, and gave enough space for us to be all together and enough rooms for individual privacy when required.The garage doubles as a games room, which was very handy when waiting for some of the family to wake up in the morning! The owners were very obliging and welcoming and we cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. Even though we were all over 18, there are plenty of facilities and opportunities for young children. All in all a great holiday which we wish could have lasted a lot longer." Roger & Julie

Notes We strive to provide everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, and if you should have any questions or queries before or during your stay, you can contact us directly and we will be happy to help. There are a number of extras provided for small children within the cottage, such as a travel cot, high chair, two stair gates a play kitchen and a child's table and two chairs , as well as some books and toys. Outside there is a small playhouse and toddler slide. The water supply is from our Private Bore Hole. Outside: Large enclosed garden, two driveways with parking for 3-4 cars, garage with some storage space for surfboards and bikes. Please be aware that the garden is an old Cottage Garden and some of the paths are uneven and sloping. Utility Room: Garage: Washer/dryer, table tennis, table football, fridge, freezer, logs for wood-burner, storage room for surfboards and push bikes. Cleaning / Towels / Linen Linen and towels are included (Bed linen and 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel per person per week). Cleaning is performed before and after your stay, and if staying for longer than 7 days, cleaning can be arranged weekly. Other: The enclosed garden has several areas to it: a decked patio with table and 6 chairs, a pathway leading through and around the garden, three benches, a picnic table, two sun-loungers and several grumpy gargoyles. Parking for 4 cars,up to 4 dogs welcome (dependant on number of Giant breeds )

Lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location

Lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location, close to St Ives. A great base to explore Cornwall whilst keeping out of the busy tourist areas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bramble Cottage which was very relaxing and quiet. The cottage itself is wonderfully decorated and very clean, Kevin and Karen obviously have a high attention to detail. The garden is enchanting and well kept. Very dog friendly! A great sized garden for our two to run around. There is also plenty to do when the weather takes a turn for the worse, with games and table tennis supplied.

Kevin and Karen are very approachable and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Would highly recommend.

Our 4th stay at this beautiful cottage with a secure garden for our pet Labradoodle. The property is always clean and well maintained, with friendly, helpful customer service from the owners. Great location, costal walks and the nearby town of St. Ives. What more could you want!

Perfect! Spotless, comfortable, very dog friendly

We had the perfect Christmas at Bramble Cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas so we felt very festive and the log fire added that coziness that you want at this time of year. The cottage was spotless, beds were very comfortable and bath tub was amazing!!! Emmy, our dog, felt so at home as Bramble Cottage is fabulously dog friendly inside and out. It was fantastic to have a footpath meters away from us so we could walk her from the cottage. A massive bonus! Karen and Kevin were extremely helpful and generous. We would definitely return.

Perfect winter hideaway!

My partner and I and our 3 dogs enjoyed a very welcoming stay at bramble cottage. A perfect retreat in this charming, cosy cottage. It suited us perfectly with walks from the door, lovely garden and outlook, peaceful location with plenty of room. Owners are so helpful. Very pleased and would definitely stay here again.

Coast/Beach:

The Harbour beach in St Ives is approximately1.5miles away, and there are several nearby beaches which can be reached easily and quickly by car such as Porthkidney Sands, Porthmeor beach, Carbis Bay and Mexico beach.

Travel:

Newquay airport is 35.5miles away, and takes around 56 minutes by car (according to Google Maps).

Distances:

The town of St Ives is a 5 minute drive or 30-40 minute walk away, and a taxi to the harbour costs about £6 (approx. a mile and a half).

Footpaths to Rosewall hill and moors are just 50m away from the cottage, from which you can access the coastal path to Zennor and St Ives, and maps are provided.

A 25% deposit is required at time of booking, and the final balance is to be paid 8 weeks before the first day of the holiday. A refundable damage deposit of £100 is required when paying the final balance, this will be repaid by bank transfer after a satisfactory inspection of the property on your departure.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday. Guests can access the property at 3pm on the first day, and are asked to leave by 10am on the last. If we can offer earlier entry, we will contact you to let you know.
