About Julie Hartley

Julie and John Hartley are pleased to welcome enquiries about Thrift Cottage, a property which dates back to the 16th century. We were brought up in the area which is why we think you will like the cottage and its surroundings.

Why Julie Hartley chose Cotswold district

Green fields, rolling countryside, the Cotswold hills. What more can I say.

What makes this cottage unique

Gotherington has so much to offer. Close to the Regency town of Cheltenham, with its reputation for culture and great shopping. The famous Gold Cup racecourse on your doorstep. There are so many fantastic characterful Cotswold villages within easy reach, the famous Prescott motor sport hill climb, the heights and views of Cleeve Hill looking over the plains to the Malverns and herds of Wildebeest (not really).

Lovely cottage with lots of character. Very good communication from the owner Julie.

Julie was very helpful and very quick at responding. The cottage has lots of original features, exposed beams, large fireplaces etc which was a real treat. The house was very well equipped throughout. The kitchen was well equipped and modern, which was nice when preparing meals. The children loved the garden which was safely enclosed. Good location for Prescott Hill climb and Sudeley Castle. On the edge of the cotswolds so bit more travelling for some other places.
