Excellent property for family gatherings!

This property affords a peaceful and very relaxing break! The owners, Giles & Lynda Oates are the very accommodating hosts and think of just about everything you'll need whilst you're there, it's an exceptionally well equipped property. We stayed for a week (wish it had been longer!); 7 adults and 3 children and couldn't have wished for a better experience.

The pool was a great hit, especially with the children! Since its heated and indoors if the weather is unpredictable you have a guaranteed place to have some fun.

The layout of the property also meant that you had plenty of room to relax and find your own space to chill. We made use of the BBQ and sun loungers (the British weather happened to be very kind to us!). The only (very minor) suggestion I would make would be to have a standard lamp, or side lamp, in the lounge; since the ceiling lights felt a little bright when you're watching TV in the evening.

If you decide to book you will not be disappointed! We hope to come back again ....

Family Weekend

Brilliant setting for a family weekend in the country. The kids enjoyed working out on the gym equipment, making their own fun in the massive garden and "relaxing" in the pool. It was the English Florida!

Another wonderful week at Lark Rise. Everything clean and well maintained and swimming pool lovely and warm. Would definitely recommend to friends. The younger contingent in our party all took themselves off to Go Ape in Thetford and had a wonderful day out swinging through the trees.

Pool is amazing!

Larkrise is literally in the middle of the Suffolk countryside - so be aware that shopping requires a few miles drive (for the townies that may stay) We managed to get a Waitrose delivery to the address but not Ocado. Lark rise was decorated for Christmas - lovely touch. The swimming pool is a complete winner - fantastically warm, great showers. The things that could be improved inside is a walk in shower - there isn't one inside the house, so we used the swimming pool ones. The low energy light bulbs, especially the bathroom are a bit painful too! The bungalow/chalet could be updated at some point, but there is an amazing array of equipment - didn't miss anything! It's very restful at Larkrise, with a visiting pair of pheasants, lots of other garden birds, rabbits - it's good for the soul! Mobile phone signal rubbish - but who wants to be contacted? will be going back again in the Summer

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review We are just about to renovate the main bathroom with the walk in shower and complete makeover including new lights so when you come again it will be all done. With our new EE 4G wifi no problem with internet of phone but it depends on your provider. Look forward to your visit in the summer.
