Space to spread out. Space to relax.
The sympathetically converted huge stone barn with 4 large bedrooms, ochre stone walls and oak beams are offset by ceramic tiled floors with huge traditional fireplaces, log-burning stoves and Chinese style rugs. This is truly luxurious with it’s high ceilings adding grandeur and style whilst staying cool on the hottest of days.

Thank you Christopher and Eleanor for a wonderful holiday. You made us feel extremely welcome and at ease from the moment we arrived.
The property was clean, spacious and very well equipped.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in a beautiful part of France and will be in touch soon to book again for our next holiday.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Maison Des Bois is a lovely Gite, very spacious, beautifully renovated & spotlessly clean. All the bedrooms are of a good size, my daughter (age 13) especially loved the 'loft' bedroom which could comfortably sleep 4 but she had all to herself!
Located 3.5km from Villefranche & 3km from Minzac the Villa is secluded but not remote & although there are other gites in the 'hamlet' it is still very private.
The Pool is heated which makes a huge difference to the enjoyment & although it doesn't look massive in the pictures it was plenty big enough for the 7 of us. My 8 year old niece's swimming came on enormously in the week we were there.
Chris & Eleanor could not have been more helpful - Very friendly & welcoming but in no way intrusive. Their directions were absolutely brilliant we found it no problems (two women & children in the dark with no sat-nav!). A welcome pack with wine cheese bread etc. was most welcome when we arrived!
The area is beautiful, we were there for a relaxing time, not intending to do much, but we went to St Emillion one day which was an easy drive - stunning medieval town very pretty selling mostly wine and macaroons - both of which were bought in abundance.
The Sunday morning market at St Suerin sur Lisle is definitely worth a visit.
The Night Markets which are on throughout July & August at Le Pizou (Tuesday) and Villefranche (Friday) - offer music & a wide range of street food which can be enjoyed at long trestle tables late into the night - it's a great atmosphere & wonderful food - We all tried the snails!
We spent the last afternoon in Bergerac which is also very pretty & also well worth a visit.
A wonderful holiday!
