This cottage was clean ,well equipped and we had such a friendly welcome.It was great for the two of us with two dogs. Perfect settling for sitting out in the garden and relaxing and near to the coast for beach dog walks.Also near enough to slip over the boarder to Scotland on a couple of occasions. We would recommend this cottage. The village pub was good too for food and a warm welcome.

Absolutely Lovely!

This sweet cottage was perfect for the two of us with our two dogs. Ideally located for the coast and the national park, with views of the Cheviot Hills from the garden. There is a great pub in the village and the nearby town of Wooler provided more Pubs, takeaways, and a supermarket that opened until 10.

The owners provided a warm welcome and cottage was clean, comfortably furnished and very well equiped.

Our break turned into a lovely holiday.

From the Owner

Groom's cottage historically was occupied by the head Groom when the farm was a country hunting park & racing stables. It has been refurbished & is now a cosy retreat close to the hills & the coast.

From the Owner

The cottage sits within it's own walled garden on the edge of our farm. There are many walks from the door step,amble down the river side or go up the hill to the unique, ancient cup & ring marks. Chatton village is a 10 min walk & has a post office/shop, pub & historic church. Within 5/6 miles you can be on Northumberland's amazing beaches, canoeing on it's rivers, walking it's hills in the national park or visiting one of it's many castles. Chatton fishing lakes are within easy walking distance where you do not need a licence to fish.
