A beautiful, south facing, very spacious two bedroomed, two en- suite bathroom, apartment. Bright and welcoming with unforgettable spectacular views from its terrace and main bedroom over countryside and to the sea . Within the village of Mijas pueblo, quiet and only just a step away from all the features of this white, flower filled, mountain village. If you have visited Mijas before and struggled with a long walk/bus ride to get to the centre of the village, then this is the apartment for you, as you can nip out for another bottle of wine or milk and be back in a few minutes! Well equipped, loved by the family who own it and therefore it is well looked after. This is your chance to stay in a lovely village, well known around the world and enjoyed by daily visitors. This really pretty Andalusian village of tiled red roofs and white walls has many shops, bars and restaurants. As you walk round you will discover little side streets leading to views of the sea and balconies festooned with plants. Mijas is famous for its well looked after donkeys and you can take a ride on them or tour the village in a horse drawn carriage. There is so much to help you unwind in the calm surroundings of the apartment. You will get up to the wonderful view from the balcony, the smell of pines in the air, stroll out for pastries from one of the many bakeries, maybe shop in the local indoor market for something to eat later and then out to explore the village, rest at one of the many bars, enjoy the beauty of the scenery, later to dine at one of the many restaurants, too many to choose, all the time enjoying the magical atmosphere that needs to be experienced and cannot be explained.

About the Owner

Since visiting Mijas over a period of 20 years and more the whole family and their friends are in love with the place and it was only natural to purchase an apartment almost ten years ago. We use it as the perfect place to relax, whether on the balcony or in a bar watching the world go by. Visitors come for a few hours, but we stay and enjoy the whole Mijas experience. Why not discover it for yourself? Please note previous guests have not used online booking and have paid by the only method we accept that is bank transfer, I personally can assure you, that two years of bookings and reviews proves you can have complete confidence in this method of booking.

Perfect Location!!

Just returned from this wonderful apartment ! What a view! We loved sitting on that balcony admiring the panoramic view! Mijas Pueblo is very pretty and traditionally Spanish.

The apartment was immaculate and well equipped. Perfect central location, though not noisy . Everything quiet after 12mn.

Great choice of restaurants . Plenty to do nearby -shops, museums - A walk around the Muralla Gardens is highly recommended- near to the apartment. (This beautiful park is located on the grounds of an old fortress-again with stunning views.)

We didn't hire a car but the local bus service only takes 20mins down to Fuengirola for a day trip.

Would highly recommend staying here.

A fabulous hide away

What a gem !!! in the middle of Mijas village with its gorgeous quaint streets and stunning views. The apartment has all the comforts you want - home from home. There are numerous restaurants to choose from, with all different prices and the beach is only 10 minutes away by car. Perfect for couples or families.

Amazing

We have just returned home after having the most relaxing holiday ever, the view from the apartment is just amazing and the balcony is perfect to sit out and enjoy a cup of tea in a morning or even better a bottle of wine on an evening. The apartment has everything that you can think of and much more, we can not wait to come back and are already planning our next visit. I can understand why it means so much to the owners, both Mijas and the apartment are truly Magical.

Delightful

We had a great stay at this lovely apartment for 11 nights . It is very spacious with a good sized kitchen and lounge/diner and both bedrooms also of a good size with the bonus of 2 full bathrooms.The apartment is fitted with quality fixtures and fittings and spotlessly clean .

The balcony has fabuolus views and the location is ideal only a minute away from the centre of the village with everything you could possibly need close to hand .I rarely ever cook when on holiday but made an exception here as the facilities were so good and it was not a chore but a pleasure.We hope to be able to come back again both because we loved Mijas and the apartment it goes without saying we would stay here again without hesitation .

relaxing

Comfortable, clean, spacious apartment with a homely feel and views to the sea from its southerly balcony. The small private apartment complex, is gated, has its own lift and is kept to a high standard. Within minutes of local bars, restaurants, shops and a short walk from the multi-storey car park (1 euro a day!). If you want a car free break there are good train and bus connections from Malaga airport.

For walkers Pico Mijas offers trails which can be walked straight from the apartment and other areas are only a short drive away.

The owner Ann was excellent throughout and her key holder friends were friendly, helpful and available if needed.

Had a great time, would recommend the apartment and Mijas to others.

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

A local bus takes twenty minutes to access Fuengirola and its beach. Lovely walks are found along the promenade. A regular bus service to Benelmadina pueblo, beach and marina departs from Mijas. The other beaches and resorts are easily accessed by local train from Fuengirola railway station, bus or car. The resort of La Cala de Mijas is accessed by bus or car in a short space of time. The Coastal path starts here and provides beautiful views of the coast. Mijas pueblo has a busy and well operated tourist information office by the multi story car park and is really worth a visit.

Travel:

Malaga is the nearest airport only 20 minutes away by car or taxi

you really don't need a car as there are buses to Fuengirola, Benaldmadena and Coin. At Fuengirola Bus Station, you can go to Marbella, Granada, Ronda, You can also take a train from Fuengirola to Malaga and visit this lovely city or stop off at the large shopping centre or beach resorts along the way. A rail trip to Ronda is also recommended, information in the apartment.

Distances:

Marbella and Puerto Banus - 40 minute drive. Nerja - 45 minutes. Ronda, Gibraltar, The Lakes and El Chorro Gorge -90 min. drive. Granada, Cordoba, Seville - 2 hours.

Mijas Pueblo has everything you need to give you a restful break and will leave you with images to remember. With its wealth of various restaurants and bars, local market, small supermarkets, and bakeries, you can self cater or eat out at will. Wi Fi is available free in most of the village bars. Nearby, La Plaza de la Constitucion ( our square) is in the heart of the village, in the centre of the square is a beautiful fountain. The plaza is surrounded by several cafés, bars and shops. Mijas is a good hill walking area, maps are in the apartment and guided walks are held from tourist information. Dotted around the village are view-points and resting places, one of the most beautiful is a park located beside the small Mijas bullring; “The Muralla Gardens” which offers fantastic views of the area including the old part of the village and the coastal region. Visitors to the apartment stress how easy it is to access everything Mijas has to offer and yet it is a peaceful oasis within the gated apartment development. Village life is all around, the locals are so friendly and open. There is a very interesting museum of village life in the past, a newly opened Picasso ceramics museum, gardens, churches, leather and ceramic shops, many cash machines and banks and the whole village is like a balcony with spectacular views down to the bustling coast. Situated for easy touring around by local bus or car, but Mijas will always pull you back!

Only 20 minutes from Malaga airport, this ease of access is a big bonus as you can be there on the balcony in no time at all. It is just heaven to relax and just outside the apartment entrance gates are all the benefits of this treasure of a village. Everything is to hand but all is peaceful in the apartment. en-suite bathrooms are a bonus and there is plenty of room and kitchen equipment for you to self cater if you wish, with shops, village market and small supermarkets nearby. Eating out is easy, with all tastes catered for and the people are so friendly and always make you welcome.
