Cosy cottage, great location.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy cottage with beautiful views. The location was perfect for us. Very close to local shops and a great local pub. Also really close to Matlock which is very beautiful. The best thing for us were the high peak trails only a 5 minte drive away where we hired some bikes and climbed some rocks. Stunning scenery. The cottage is well maintained clean and very comfortable and the owners are extremely helpful. Thankyou very much. A very memorable stay.

Lovely cottage; great location

Spent a great Christmas here with the family. Cosy, warm and inviting cottage in a great location to explore Peak District and close to the pretty market town of Wirksworth. Cottage was clean and well equipped to cope with all our culinary needs for our Christmas festivities! Jonathan was prompt and helpful in dealing with all my enquiries in relation to letting the Cottage.

Lovely Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Bramble Cottage is a lovely place to stay. The cottage itself overlooks the Wirksworth valley and Wirksworth is a quaint town which is certainly worth spending time exploring. The High Peak Trail and Black Rocks are literally on the doorstep and there is a public footpath which you can take either down to Wirksworth or over Barrel Edge and down to Cromford which is also another great place to explore. (Scarthin Books was a highlight for me).

The cottage has plenty of walking books, tourist guides and information leaflets and there is also a Bramble Cottage website which we were able to use at the cottage as it has wi-fi.

The cottage is set back from the road so it is worth knowing that as you would need to look for the car port when initially arriving.

We were spoilt for choice with things to do in the area and will probably visit again.

Really enjoyed our time at Bramble Cottage. Brilliant cycle trails and walks right on the doorstep. Really liked Wirksworth, a proper little town with some independent shops, fab restaurants and great tea rooms. Hope to return again soon.
