Brighton Seafront Holiday Apartment, Penthouse with Private Sun Terrace

Overview

Property

Updated: 03-Dec-2016
Apartment in Brighton, Sussex, England

This small, beautiful penthouse directly faces the sea at the front of this iconic L-shaped Grade II* listed building, so is one of the few that enjoys uninterrupted panoramic sea views from the living room, bedroom, and the 7.3 x 1.7m private sun terrace (with doors opening directly onto the terrace from the living room and bedroom). Parking is also available at a nightly rate, a rarity in Brighton, a rarity with Brighton and Hove holiday accommodation.

The apartment is furnished and equipped to a very high standard with everything you may need for your stay, including high quality Egyptian cotton bedlinen and White Company towels. Fast broadband is provided throughout the apartment and there are wall-mounted LCD televisions in both living room and bedroom. It has a beautiful bespoke Italian blue granite kitchen and stunning designer bathroom with luxurious under-floor heating. We are delighted to be in Tripadvisor's top 5 guest of all holiday apartments in Brighton and Hove by guest rating.

Embassy Court is a beautiful Grade II* listed 1930s Modernist building with a distinctive L-shape, some apartments facing the sea and some looking to the side. The apartment and its immediate neighbours were the first ever purpose-built penthouses in the UK so it has a lovely architectural significance. The architect Wells Coates's top priority for the apartment was pleasure and making the most of the panoramic top floor view enjoyed by the sea-facing apartments, so the private sun terrace, windows and glass doors run the length of the apartment to give the panoramic views and a real sense of openness and space. The bedroom is small and designed purely for sleeping, but with the uninterrupted sea views offered by the entire front wall being made up of windows and French doors you can sit up in bed and look out to sea!

The apartment is close to central Brighton with all its coveted shops and restaurants, and the Pier and The Lanes are only a short stroll along the seafront. There are many fantastic amenities on our doorstep including one of the best rated restaurants in Brighton (The Gingerman). Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Taj supermarkets are a few minutes walk, Brighton and Hove stations are a few minutes by taxi, Gatwick Airport is thirty minutes by train, and London fifty minutes by train.

Please note that the apartment is ideal for a couple. While it can sleep four (with sofabed) it is a small apartment so best suited to two adults with up to two children.

There is lift access but as a listed building with some steps and the lifts being very small we regret that there is no wheelchair access. Travel cot with mattress and highchair provided on request free of charge and the apartment is equipped with children's cutlery, cups and plates.

If you are interested in staying with us please let us know your preferred dates and we'll be delighted to come back to you asap. As a small and friendly team we always really appreciate any info you might like to give about you and your trip. Please also note that we have a minimum stay of three nights throughout the year which rises to 4 and 6 nights during peak times.

Do you know the thrill when something you have been looking forward to exceeds your best expectations? Well this was how we experienced it, when we entered this flat on a bright sunny day in the middle of July. The balcony view is breathtaking and the apartment’s interior fully supports the feeling of being on top of everything. We chose this apartment instead of a hotel and we feel we got so much more value. This apartment offers you complete freedom and due to its location also a palette of great opportunities.

Classic style with a modern twist, 102 Embassy Court is probably the coolest place we've stayed. Great location, right on the seafront and perfect for us as my wife and I were both doing the marathon.Olivia's customer service is excellent, nothing was too much trouble and she made sure we had everything we needed for our 6 month old son. We only wished we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic apartment, beautiful sea views

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at embassy court for a short break during summer. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival to see the high standard of accommodation, and the amazing sea views. The penthouse at embassy court commands an exceptional position on the sea front, with a wonderful balcony to sit out and take a moment of peace away from the hustle and bussle below. With two young children in tow, we were well placed to enjoy many of the excellent local activities which were within easy walking distance. Olivia was an excellent host, and very informative, providing detailed suggested activities for young children and Nothing was too much trouble. Would we go again? Yes definitely.

We stayed at this apartment for a week and we had a wonderful holiday. The place is tastefully decorated and was very clean. Olivia was very helpful and was always quick to reply if we had any queries. Overall a smooth experience. Will definitely stay there again.

Sea and sky

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely and well appointed, quiet apartment. It's small--it's perfect for a couple, and could accommodate children or another guest with the sofa bed. Unique ocean panorama and views of the beach, people, sky, street, i360 tower, and Brighton to the north were mesmerizing and relaxing at all times. Short uphill walks to dine, shop and see sights were convenient. Olivia's communication was easy and friendly. The building is a historical 1930's Art Deco gem, and I was thrilled to see it has been restored by the owners and offered here for booking. If you decide to stay here, please take good care of it. There are many things to do and see in Brighton, but we mostly just relaxed and relaxed here. Can't wait for the next chance to stay here again!

Great Place to Stay.....amazing views !!!!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely flat. Smallish....but fabulous. Check in and Check out were easy and the owner Olivia, was very helpful and easy to contact. I was working in Brighton at a Food Festival on Hove Lawns so great to be able to walk just 300 yards each night, back to our accomodation. My daughter joined us for the weekend and loved the fact that she was just a short walk away from The Lanes and all of the shops. I would definately stay here again for work, but would also consider as a great place for a weekend away with my wife.

Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful flat with stunning views over the sea. A lovely base for a break in Brighton: elegant, peaceful, but right in the centre, so really convenient for restaurants, shops and culture. The bedroom is small but that is more than compensated for by the location, views, plus style and comfort of the apartment. Olivia was swift to reply and very helpful. We had a wonderful time!
