A 125m2 duplex apartment recently refurbished to a very high standard in a contemporary style. Occupies the middle and top floor of a traditional stone built chalet.

The large living area is open planned, comprising a sleek modern kitchen complete with breakfast bar and stools for apres ski drinks plus a cosy seating area with a massive corner sofa, fluffy cushions and bean bags surrounding a log burning stove. The vaulted ceiling gives a light and airy spacious feel. There is a large balcony with views over mountains, ideal for apres ski or summer drinks.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are situated on the middle floor, away from the main living area to allow sleepers peace and quiet.

Well-equipped throughout, the apartment is a true home from home in the Alps.

Bozel is a traditional village but also offers all the facilities, such as bars, a variety of restaurants, shops and ski-hire to make your holiday as relaxed as possible.

We provide fresh bedlinen and towels, feather duvets and pillows throughout so that you can travel light and sleep in comfort.

About Vanessa Pinkney

We are a family living in England who love skiing. We had always dreamt of owning a mountain property in France and in 2009 we realised our dream. We chose the 3 Valleys area as we had enjoyed many happy ski holidays here and knew that it offered many kilometres of varied pistes to suit all levels. Our children have learnt to ski here and are now better than us! We enjoy visiting the apartment as often as we can during the ski season but also in the summer when we can walk and swim surrounded by beautiful Alpine scenery.

Why Vanessa Pinkney chose Bozel

We fell in love with Bozel as it is a year round working French village rather than a "ski station" which would only be active in the winter and be dead in the summer.

Bozel has every amenity to cater for a winter or summer holiday - supermarkets, shops, eateries, patisseries, butchers, ski hire and clothing. These are all within walking distance.

For trips further afield there is Champagny-Le-Haut (20 minutes drive) for mountain walks and a refuge offering delicious meals. There are also outdoor pools at Champangny and Pralognan.

What makes this apartment unique

We find that we really unwind once we hit the mountains. Our favourite thing is to sit around the log burner with a vin chaud after a hard day on the pistes. In the summer we sit on the balcony with a coffee and watch village life.

Perfect home for exploring

It was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked, including most staples (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, sugar, etc). There were ample towels and linens. The washer/dryer worked well. Comfortable beds in spacious bedrooms. Nice bathrooms. The wifi was powerful enough to watch Netflix. The stores were just steps away. Very quiet at night. Nice view. The owners were available via phone when we couldn't figure out the wifi code (our problem). The only very minor flaw was we sometimes had to park a short distance away (no reserved parking). We hope to stay here again.

Fantastic home from home in a beautiful location

The owner was extremely welcoming providing comprehensive information prior to our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The beds were made up on arrival which was nice after travelling. The accommodation is a true home from home-beautifully decorated with a very well equipped kitchen and modern appliances.

Bozel was a great summer base. We took road bikes for which there was secure bike storage and also walked, white water rafted and ate a lot! We hope we will visit again.

Stunning Apartment

A beautiful apartment with everything you need for a great holiday. It is well equipped and comfortable. The cave was perfect to store our bikes. Parking was never a problem and we were close to shops and bars/restaurants. There's plenty to do, a swimming pool in Champagny, bike parks in Meribel, Courchevel and Les Arcs and a fantastic indoor/outdoor pool in Courchevel. We could only watch DVDs through the television, no French TV but there are some DVDs available. All in all, a great holiday base.

Spacious, luxurious and comfortable home

Gorgeous contemporary apartment spreading over 2 floors in traditional chalet with everything spic & span fresh, of top quality materials, generously equipped with modern appliances and in perfect condition (all is “as new”).

Located only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bozel, a genuine Alpine village that has managed to keep its traditional Savoie style but also offers a good level of amenities for both locals and tourists.

Many hundreds of ski-slopes (les3vallees) to choose from, starting at about a 15 minutes drive by car or free ski-bus.

Pros:

1. Large rooms throughout and quality all the way to kitchen utensils and linen/towels

2. Agent lives next door. Good for peace of mind, although not needed once, except excellent and very convenient hand-overs

3. Location. Tranquil. Easy to get to and to explore from. Short walk to shops, restaurants, ski-rental and ski-bus.

(All these points are of high value for us because they are essential for enjoying our precious holidays time in a relaxed way)

Would definitely recommend and planning on returning asap.

Location

Travel:

By air - Easyjet, FlyBE, Ryanair and BMI Baby to Geneva, Lyon, Chambery and Grenoble. Approximate transfer time to Courchevel is 2 hours from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble. Chambery airport is 1 1/2 hrs but flights are less regular.

By train - Eurostar to Moutiers (Saturdays only) from where it is only a 20 min transfer to resort by taxi. There is also a regular bus service.

By road - driving time from Calais is approx 9 hrs and is almost all motorway apart from the 20 minute drive from Moutiers.

Distances:

15 minutes drive to Courchevel Le Praz (1300)

30 minutes drive to Courchevel 1850

40 minutes drive to Meribel

10 minutes drive to Champagny en Vanoise

Further Details:

Bozel is a lovely traditional village at the foot of Courchevel, with a handful of restaurants, a couple of good bars; 2 supermarkets, a butchers, 2 bakers, various gift shops, banks/ATM's, ski & mountain bike hire.

Being out of resort means that ski equipment hire/food/drinks are significantly cheaper, however it is easy to drive up the mountain to the larger resorts of Le Praz, 1650 and 1850 for dinner and apres ski. Alternatively, order a take away pizza and settle down for a cosy evening in front of the fire.
